This place was great to do a few laps. Will go back to my normal Ymca for now. Lady at front desk typical city worker. No enthusiasm. Just doing her job. Staff in pool area were great. Don't know why there was a German shepherd in the change room? I was shocked when I saw him sitting in the entrance to the shower area. He was well behaved. Did not try to pet him he was not a service dog. I checked.

So busy today. There were approximately 300 swimmers at a meet and the whole facility was just replete with parents, guardians and coaches. Nowhere to sit and getting to te pool to swim was a difficult thing in itself. It is a nice facility but staff here are rude.

Good value $6 swim, $3 per person for families. Having said that, most of the pool has been cordoned off whenever I've visited for water polo classes. They don't warn of this when you pay. In an amazing scenic location by the sea, but large concrete walls with no windows, like a nuclear bunker, seems like an opportunity lost.
Free parking 5 minutes walk away.

Clean and well maintained. Little kiddy area away from the main pool which is geared toward the athletic rather than the recreational swimmer. Dive and swim club meets here often so make sure to check the schedule to make sure free swim is open.

Great facility, best pool for lengths in town (when Kits Pool is closed anyways). For the person commenting that the water is colder than other facilities in the lower mainland, that is a feature, not a bug. It makes doing length swimming much more pleasant.

This is the only public swimming pool I will go to.
I am that parent who hates swimming... Because I absolutely can't stand public pools.
This one is great though. It's so clean. Never have I had a problem with clumps of hair, or stray bandaids or wet toilet paper all over the change rooms.
It's very well maintained.
The kiddie pool is nice and warm and in a separate area from the main pool.

One of my favorite ones. Always has 50 m lanes available for laps, graded by speeds and a few merged lanes for enjoy. For those who likes, it also offers a deep tank. Has a separate pool for kids with lots of toys, which my son likes a lot! There is a mall party room for kids, which which is great for kids birthday parties. Has a gym and a hot tub too

i go to their swim club and the coaches are amazing and really nice. Over that the pool is perfect for swimmers and the diving tank is amazing for all ages because the diving boards go to 1 meter all the way to 10 METERS!!!!!
Lastly the place is a really friendly environment for all ages.

I go to the Vancouver Aquatic centre every week. I have been wanting to learn how to swim for many years now and as an adult it s a hard thing to start doing. I recently started classes elsewhere - since the classes here were always full and I have been on the wait list multiple times. I do come here to practice my swimming since their drop in rates are reasonable. The facilities are dated and could use a little upgrade. The price is what makes it feasible for a novice swimmer like myself.

This place is right by Sunset Beach. You can swim, take swimming lessons for a very good price, ideal for low income families. There is a separate area for smaller children as well. The hot tub is great, not too big, but very nice, regardless. Pay parking only.
Right after swimming, you can continue your day with a bike ride or a little walk on the beach.
Bus stop is right in front of this facility.

Just okay, - not so clean when it comes to whirlpool. many homeless people just taking for granted without having a bath or shower and use the pool directly some of them have skin diseases. Most people i have meet has their own mental issues like depression. The customer service / staff members or receptionists are not so friendly. but in fairness some were nice.

Great neighborhood pool. Toddler pool is great for the little ones to get used to with the best thing on Earth! Playing with the water, of course. Staff is friendly and prices (standard Vancouver parks pricing) are very reasonable. Two adults with a baby is under 7 bucks. I am so lucky and greatful for having access to such facilities in walking distance

I always get what I expect here. The staff are friendly when I arrive, I grab a wristband for gym access. I use the locker rooms, which are always clean, and I workout for an hour or so. Then I switch into my bathing suit and shock myself between the sauna, hot tub, and cold showers for like, an arbitrary amount of time. Best value facility in the neighborhood: on any given afternoon, you can hog as much equipment as you like, you have the gym to yourself.

I liked how the pool can be sectioned for various swimming levels, or made into lanes for straight swimming. Bonus there is a diving pool with 3 boards of varying heights and 2 of normal height. Stadium seating as well as tables with chairs on street level. A great place to exercise.

One of the best pools for drop in lap swimming in Vancouver. They often have 5 lanes of 50m but sometimes only 25 yard swimming. The facility is a bit dated and closes for 2 months in the summer every year for maintenance.

The water is really cold comparing with the rest of the pools in Vancouver and North Vancouver. I actually called to get an answer regarding this but I've got transferred to an answering machine ...??? So I guess poor for the customer service, too

Clean change rooms, though with push-button showers that are a little too low and have a weird pressure. There is a family and trans welcome change room. The lap pool is great when the 50m lengths are open, but often it runs width-wise, about 20m. Make sure to check. The diving board area is awesome, with a 7.5 and a 10m platform. The hot tub is a little small and is weirdly out of the way: you have to go through the changerooms again to get to it.

Needs updating. The provincial swim meet is
held here. The number of people attending is staggering, there is not enough room for all. The restrooms are pathetic. Vancouver should be ashamed.

Do you like aquatic activities? If so, this is the center for you. They also have less aquatic actives too, like a gym and a basketball court. So there ya go. Maybe they should call it the Vancouver Primarily Acquatic But Also Terrestrial Center

Super disappointed about discount dip not including the fitness center anymore. This has been working fine for over a decade I've been going to the gym/pool on Saturday's. The gym that time is only half full and a normal flex entry includes both so it's not like it's a logistical issue. Trying to give more fitness access is only for people that know how to swim. Nice that you standardize this block across all centers. Good for you.
