We really liked the pool! We went all summer. Warm water is comfortable for all growers. Savior always look closely at the children. There is one minus this few seats! They need to wait until you get free. And still it is not convenient to change clothes. It is necessary to go beyond the territory of the pool to the toilet. It's very uncomfortable .. I think this should be fixed for the next season !!!

Love going for a walk at and around Second beach. The trails are great cruising grounds, which are nearby, the Seawall obviously runs right past second beach. The Seawall is fantastic walk around the entire perimeter of Stanley Park (Vancouver's Crown Jewel), linking it with Vancouver's downtown core (the West End), right around the inlett and all the way up towards Vancouver's West Side (Kitslano Beach, Spanish Banks etc).

Great place for inexpensive family water fun..

Great place for inexpensive family water fun..
Huge pool with lots of space..nice shallow wading area with different slides of varying difficulty..
There is separate area for laps so everyone can do something..
As expected it very busy in the summer so parking in the area and lines at the concession are challenging..so come early and pack a lunch.
Can also be a bit colder then expected if the winds are blowing..so bring extra towels

Clean and spacious, it is a good place to exercise during the summer. It costs around 6 dollars per day per adult, but only around the same 6 dollars to a family of two adults and two children.
It is worthy.
Don't forget to get a stamp before leaving so you can reentry during the same day and being a towel because sometimes it gets windy.

Love this pool!

Love this pool!
It's cheap, close to the west end but could do with a facelift.

I genuinely hate swimming.

I genuinely hate swimming.
But if you get drawn into it by your 8 year old, this is a good place for it to unfold.

Clean, cheap and well frequented
I was at the Second Beach pool and found the structure amazing for a public pool. The water is very well treated and clean, the place is well frequented and the location is great (within Stanley Park, close to English Bay). Worth a visit on sunny days! The prices are great, I believe there is a government subsidy so that the prices are so inviting. I recommend it, especially if you have children!

My family of 3 visited this pool while vacationing in Vancouver in August. We arrived on a Tuesday at 11 am and found a parking spot right next to the pool (parking was $13 for more than 3 hrs). This is a GIGANTIC pool, the biggest I've ever seen. The pool water was super clean, the cleanest I've been in in a long time. The temp was just right and you can't even tell it is salt water. Most of the pool is around 3 to 4 ft deep, with the deepest end being 5 ft. Here are some tips and highlights:

1) Bring your own chairs as there are very few available at the pool. Also bring your own beach towels.

2) There are bathrooms and changing rooms onsite. They aren't the cleanest or the most private, but they work out fine.

3) There is a concessions stand by the pool's front entrance which serves burgers and fish and chips. The food was fine, but a bit expensive.

4) It wasn't too crowded on the Tuesday we visited, but even if it was the pool is so huge there's plenty of room.

6) Food is allowed in the pool area.

In summation, my family had a great time at the pool with no issues. A perfect afternoon day.

Great pool! Great location. Since it s right on the water it can be much colder than you might expect even though the water is heated. The change room facilities aren t the best (no family change room).

Just OK - and only for a sunny afternoon with the kids. Actual swimming lanes are quite limited. And much of the pool is vast open space, essentially wasted because not used for length swimming and only used by limited numbers of kids traversing from one slide to another.

Fun pool for everyone. There are no toys supplied so bring your own balls and floats. There are a few Adirondack style chairs on the deck, but there truly are only a few so I recommend bringing your own chairs or towels to relax on. There are 3 water slides that appeal to different age groups and swim abilities: pre-school, younger elementary school aged kids, and older elementary school aged kids/young teens. This is a chlorine pool, which some may find surprising as it is on the shore of Second Beach. There are nice, organized lanes to swim in if you would like to work out.

There are warm, outdoor showers within the pool area but the change rooms are outside the pool, next to the food kiosk. There is not a lot of shade to be had so if that is import to you, bring an umbrella/beach shelter. You are allowed to bring your own picnic into the pool area and you can come and go if you get your hand stamped. There are drinking fountains near the pool entrance.

This is very economical family fun... parents and children can visit for just over $3 per person. Punch passes are available for multiple visits and I believe season passes are as well.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because it is somewhat inconvenient for the bathrooms and change rooms to be outside of the pool site, but they are only a few paces away.
