This is a 50 meter swimming pool that is kept at racing temperature. It has a 10 meter diving board and great sauna and jacuzzi. It has an interesting architecture tucked away under the Burrard street bridge, I think it was Arthur Ericsson in fact. They don't make pools like this anymore and I am not sure how many more years of life this one has, so enjoy it while you can!
Great pool, great staff, they do an excellent scheduling job and the 50m lengths are usually open.
Good for length swimming in the morning. The public swim is pretty crowded on weekday mornings until about 7, when the club teams finish and the lanes open up for public use.
Amazing Olympic size pool. Really clean and good value.
A very affordable pool to frequent (about $6-8 a swim depending on if you're a senior, child etc). They have Olympic size lanes available with different speeds. I like to keep in the slow lane as I've got a bum knee, so I like being able to take my time without being rushed by those who are a lot more physically fit. The pool is set down lower, and though there are bleachers, it never feels like you're on display. Be sure to check the times for free swim, as I've made the mistake of not doing that and getting bombarded by children's classes!
I will say that the locker rooms and whirlpool are in serious need of an upgrade!
well. There is a swimming pool and a diving pool. Slightly old.
Good place to take swimming class if your kids like it.
