Great vegan food spot! We had an absolutely delicious just egg omelette with biscuits and gravy. When I'm back in Denver, I will be coming here again for sure.
Soooooo good! Food was well made, waitress was well informed. Very good veggie options and very flavorful! Lattes we had were fantastic, and the atmosphere was fun. New favourite!
Yummy place lots of choices! I git the chicken less wings and they were good!
Our server was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was so delicious too!! Creative dishes and vegan!!
City O City is the first place I ever ate when I moved to Denver, and I immediately felt right at home. This place is cool, homey, affordable, and delicious. Highly recommend the happy hour, seitan wings, oyster mushroom po' boy, and bbq bowl! Also, their Hail Seitan swag is amazing.
Would give it more stars if the portions were bigger and the wait staff more attentive. The food is great though.
The first time I visited, I didnt realize that it was completely vegetarian! Order the chicken and waffles, it will blow your mind how similar they look to the real thing. Plus, they're just as delicious! There is usually a bit of a line when you visit here but it's worth it to wait.
A friend suggested we eat here during a layover in Denver, and I am grateful. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. So many Vegan selections. Will visit again.
As always, the food does not disappoint and nourishes mind body and soul. Service is lovely and the atmosphere swell. I'm grateful for a place, within walking distance even, with good food I can feel at peace eating
Great selection of vegan and vegetarian , inspiring bar selections.... just wish they don't have to keep on tell everyone to wear mask. Other places in Denver don't, they get it and for that reason, I'd choose somewhere else.
It is a vegan restaurant and there is usually a wait here. The food is good quality. I tried the Waffle Sliders and took some time to come but all at once including the drinks which were a little cold. Otherwise, good place to bring a date or small group of friends.
Patron here occasionally, the food is good and fairly consistent but the service is hit or miss, which is disappointing.
No more "California-style vegan cafe chains" for me.
Clean, friendly, I was able to order tasty vegan food. I had curried carrot soup for $4 and pineapple sticky rice for $5. It was tasty & beautifully presented. I am defiantly going back.
Great environment. Been here for a quick coffee, breakfast, and happy hour. Always left happy.
I like this place because they try not to disguise their vegan food as meat, they present it as what it is, good food that is vegan.
Came for the gluten free food, and while there is a reasonable selection, it's not as good as, for example, Shine in Boulder. I left full and happy, but I will look elsewhere tomorrow lunchtime.
The service here is always amazing! Being plant-based I love all the food options! Have yet to try something I have not liked a favorite place to take my wife when we are in Denver or on special occasion.
long wait but well worth it! I had the chicken and waffles, it was amazing
One of my favorite veggie friendly places in Denver. Hard to choose something bad on the menu. Go here, you won't be dissapointed.
Unique environment! First time in and was amazed to say the least! I would and will recommend this to anyone trying their first vegetarian restaurant! Thank you for a great dinner and an amazing first experience!
Without question a Denver classic and some of the best, most flavorful, and creative vegan and vegetarian options available in the metro area. That being said in my 10+ years of eating with City O City to-go or dine-in I have Never received my food in a timely way. There estimates are often off by 20 minutes and as much as I love the food and atmosphere the hassle isn t worth it outside of special occasion. In addition the toast Togo option they have now applies an undisclosed auto gratuity to the tab and asks an additional gratuity on the toast close and when you pick up they present you with another receipt to sign and tip. I am never opposed to tipping generously but I want to know when I m tipping someone and I don t want to be asked two more times to do it after an auto gratuity has already been applied.
Summarized:
Long waits delicious food veg/vegan option. Undisclosed Auto grat on all Togo order with two more requests for tip when the transaction is over.
Sausage & Peppers pizza was DELICIOUS
I'm still hoping for the El Jefe burger comes back on the menu!
Amazing vegan food and a somehow even better staff! Our waitress, Jess, was so sweet and very attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be back! Even my non vegan boyfriend liked it
Great place for vegan options and drinks. Excellent coffee and pastries
Always loved this place. I always come back for a visit when I'm able to get back to Denver.
Best best ginger beer. Pizza is outta this world. Haven t had a bad dish in many visits. Plan to have some wait time. Worth it!
Great food. Only subtracted a star because the wait times are awful.
The food is always an otherworldly experience. I truly never considered eating vegan until I ate here. The ambience is pure Cap. Hill (which I love), the staff are lovely every time and the prices are totally reasonable. If I could give more stars, I absolutely would!
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat on a busy Friday night. I was really impressed with the service and quality of food! I got the buffalo seitan wrap and onion rings. The atmosphere is charming as well as unique and the menu has a wide variety of options. I m so glad I found such a fantastic plant based restaurant in Denver! Will definitely be back again.
This place is perfect, local, and delicious. I love the atmosphere and the staff. The food is amazing every single time and don't forget to order one of their awesome bloody marys.
I'm not really into vegan food, but this place has an amazing atmosphere and an unbeatable location. I got a caesar salad and it was pretty bomb.
I'm a carnivore and still liked the place. Food was original and delicious, drinks were great, and the service was pretty good too.
The service isn t always great but I love the food!
Incredible and delicious my favorite place in all of Denver, and I say that as a part-time meat eater
The service was decent. The server was friendly and offered to help us with our selections.
Another place we visited twice because of the atmosphere and delicious vegetarian food during vacation. Good service, great meals.
Legendary. The Udon Bowl. The seitan wings. The burgers. Try this place, even if you arent vegetarain. The flavors are on point and the beers are good.
one of the best restaurants in Denver (bold statement, I know). Watch out for epic savory waffle specials and try the seitan wings. Plus, one of the only places I know that serves both beermosas and strummers (red wine and coke, trust me they are delicious).
Kitschy vegan and vegetarian fare, fairly busy and popular. Was able to find a tasty and filling meal, even as an omnivore. A little on the spendy side but overall enjoyable.
We (4 of us) had lunch here today (first visit), and everyone really enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious, very presentable, and there are plenty of options. Vegan and vegetarian friendly, the service was prompt and knowledgeable, and the price was very reasonable for the generous portion of food received. We would definitely eat here again.
I really love how in-depth their menu is, as far as what is allergy-containing, what doesn t contain them, what your options are, etc!
Favorite restaurant of all time! Used to come here every time we drove to Denver. Now that we live in the city we come here every week and it has yet to disappoint! They are a scratch kitchen so the food is always amazing. Great service for how crazy busy they always are! Tends to get a bad rep on the service front but anybody who wants their butt kissed by their server all night should just go to an Applebee s or a Chilis or something.
10/10 recommend:
BBQ wings with ranch
Breakfast burrito with avocado and sour cream
Tacos (for a light meal)
Fried ravioli
Brussels sprout salad with avocado
Good vegan options. Chick'n and waffles is super good!!
Best biscuits and gravy I've ever had, vegan or otherwise!
Friendly barista, strong coffee.
Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. I had the chicken-fried cauliflower and waffles (traditional style, with maple syrup) and they were phenomenal, even as a meat eater. Our waiter was attentive and polite. The wait was a bit long, but we enjoyed walking around the nearby area while we waited for our table.
This is a hip happening place. We went on a Saturday during brunch. It took 45 minutes to seat of party of four, but we were able to get coffee and tea while we waited.
The vegetarian and vegan options were plentiful. We ordered three sides to share amongst a couple. The portions were sizable and we barely finished them.
Overall, great experience. Menu items are pricey. The sides are as expensive as entrees. Parking is limited to street or a nearby lot that charges $7/hr on weekdays or $8 on weekends for a half day pass.
Food was mediocre, and service was off. The girl who brought my beer out practically dropped it on the table and walked away without saying anything, even after I thanked her
Every time I come here it is amazing. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly and make for a very enjoyable dining experience.
My best friend was in town from San Francisco and being a vegetarian, I wanted to take her to "Denver's Best Vegetarian Restaurant." The customer service, ambiance, drinks and food were spectacular! We were very happy from the beginning to the end and the staff is phenomenal. I don't go out of my way to post positive reviews if I don't truly feel like it is well deserved so this restaurant definitely deserves the highest accolades. This place is a MUST to experience in Denver even if you aren't a practicing vegetarian or vegan. I eat meat, but I didn't feel like I was missing out AT ALL. The flavors and dynamics of our entrees were spot on! I ordered the Chipotle Quinoa Bowl (highly recommend!) and my bff ordered the Pumpkin Curry Pasta (also delicious)! Their drinks like the Bruise Cruise are stunning and ignite your taste buds. Even their hot chocolate is divine. Take my word -- go here. Go out of your way if you have to. It's worth it and you will be leaving happy.
So good! Went with a group of six some vegan/vegetarian and some not and everyone loved their meal. I had the chicken and waffles and would highly recommend!
Great service, friendly staff, and tasty food!!! The food was very flavorful, definitely exceeded my expectations! My brother is also one of the servers so stop by and show love lol!!
Seriously everything I've ever had is good.. but some things are just mind blowing.. DELICIOUS!! Like cant believe its VEGAN.. yay its vegan.. even non-vegan friends love the food. Amazing favors!! Mmmmm mmm mmmm. Friendly staff.
Check them out!!!
Not sure why it took me so long to try this place while searching for vegan options in Denver. Incredible selection of vegan food and drinks. Open very early and very late. Not too pricey for the portion sizes and food quality. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the view of the capitol building. Can not wait to be back in town just to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner here.
Fast service, delicious cocktails, great seitan wings!
The food was awesome but I'm not sure how many times you have to ask for extra catsup because I have up after two
Best vegan food ever great portions great staff. I recommend this place all the time.
I stayed nearby while visiting Denver and love it so much I ate there twice.
**Vegan heaven**. Two in our group of four were so overwhelmed by all the choices that we ordered three meals and two desserts each. The pizza, ravioli, mac & cheese, and ho ho cupcake were all DIVINE. My friends said the buffalo tofu wings (might not be the correct name) were amazing. I enjoyed the ambience and music as well.
We live about an hour away but are already planning our next trip and will return often. We are lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in Denver!!
The food took forever to get to us. It's fine if your drinking but we weren't. My beans were cold. I will never go back.
I admit I use Google a lot to check out ratings. I decided to give this place a try on my way out of Denver and I am glad that I did. Parking can be a little tricky and limited depending when you go it's worth it. I tried the one brussel sprout salad and I also had a small portion of the vegan mac and cheese both of dynamite. For drinks I had a local small batch whiskey and a local ale as well. Service staff and bartender were very attentive food Super Fresh will go again
This place is amazing. They have the best food and great atmosphere. Every dish is exquisite and the one you should try is the bbq tempeh and macaroni dish. There is always a wait so get there around 11am.
Sausage & Peppers pizza was DELICIOUS
I'm still hoping for the El Jefe burger comes back on the menu!
Delicious!!!! Great food, great service, funky atmosphere. My new favorite in Denver <3
I ve never gotten anything that didn t disappoint. Every once in a while you get a server that may not be the friendliest, but the food always has me coming back to take that (small) risk. Chicken and waffles are bomb. Always get the seitan wings, vegan breakfast burrito is out of this world and everything else has been spot on.
A go to for all the veggie folks and for all those that need to try a better way to eat.
Came in on a late Tuesday morning to grab a quick bite. The food was incredible (I ordered the vegan hash), and the service was similarly impressive. As a vegan visitor in Denver I was not disappointed!!
Best vegetarian/vegan restaurant in Denver. Quick service and food, friendly staff. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and drinks!
The manager is an amazing person. I come here a lot so having a manager that looks out for his customers is super dope. Also I love the Caesar salad and biscuits no gravy . Also the poutine fries with cashew cheese is bomb.
Such a fantastic place. Atmosphere is amazing and the food options are numerous. (especially for vegans!)
If all vegetarian/vegan food tasted this good, I could make it work...
This place has phenomenal food and great happy hour. It has a very "edgy" atmosphere.
Don't leave without having some of the pastries!
Absolutely incredible place. Staff is very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Everything is delicious. I actually went there twice yesterday and left so happy each time! Love the design elements and the creativity with freshness.
Lunch: Had the 10" La Chagall Pizza, City Sage:
Old Overholt Rye, Lavender-Earl Grey simple syrup, bitters and a sage leaf
Dinner: The Crudo Board and French pressed Pablo's Coffee.
A miracle on earth. I was so excited to come back to denver just to be able to have this goodness again.
Cozy with friendly staff. The chicken and waffle is an amazing vegan option. The chicken fried cauliflower tastes just like chicken. Yum!
