I have bought furniture from here multiple times. Really good selection, and there lots of randoms item you can find for around the home. Would recommend checking it out, if your in the market for furniture. The building is really old, so prepare for stairs if you interested in looking at furniture.

Massive 3-floor experience, with everything from "soup to nuts", as they say. Seriously, if it is made out of glass, they have it. Unique furniture pieces, great accessories for the home - new and rustic - friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back!

I would like to acknowledge your customer service. I purchased some furniture and arranged for delivery, but had to change the delivery date several times due to home renovations. Every time I called, the staff were polite and understanding. On the day of delivery there was a mix up, understandably, and I was not on the delivery schedule. I was quite sure that I was not at fault, and I was not happy, party because I was expecting company. I was initially told my delivery would have to wait until the next week, but to their credit, the sales person, the warehouse manager and the delivery men all hustled to get my furniture delivered that afternoon. It was not a large order and I didn't become irate. It would be easy to say that their response is exactly what should have happened, but too often it isn't. I hope these individuals get to know that their efforts to provide good customer service are greatly appreciated.

My first time in yesterday I was frantic to find a sofa for my empty apartment. I needed it delivered same day or else I'd be sleeping on a floor as I'm still waiting for my bed to be delivered. By chance, I ran into Pam on the floor and asked if delivery was at all possible (since it was busy and already more than halfway through the business day). Lucky for me, Pam is one of the owners and she went above and beyond to fit my same day delivery into a day that was already full and I wouldn't have been able to fit into otherwise! Her staff are amazing too, I worked mostly with Quinton, who was so positive and helpful.

Plus, this place is FREAKIN' HUGE. I don't think I'll go anywhere else for furniture again. It's like Powell's Books if they sold furniture. There's a great mix of new and used furniture as well as tons of unique pieces and oddities. All are reasonably priced.

I ended up having a full size sofa, matching chair, end tables, and a TV stand delivered within the next hour and a half. AMAZING.

Lots of stuff you might want and other things you didn't think you'd ever find, pretty cheap. Just a few steps into this crazyily arranged store, and you will find things you'll find items you already bought and paid more for. Furniture, household goods, used office furniture, lots of tacky items to gawk at. All in a ancient historic Portland landmark building under a bridge. The place looks like it's going to crumble to the ground, but that is just part of the charm and obviously they have low overhead. Besides, once you step in, you will find that you spent more time in here than you ever thought you would just looking at all the quirky goods that line the rabbit hole of winding aisles. Love this place.

This place is packed with interesting items and furniture. If you have never been here its definitely worth visiting just to see all the stuff they have. Its not a boring old chain store and has a large variety of items to appease all tastes. They have both new and used furniture items. There are 4 floors filled with stuff. The 4th floor is mainly scratch and dent items. Truly a unique shop.

This place literally has everything...but a bit stuck in the past. Being a Portland establishment, hoping the evolve with time so they can survive in the post ikea USA but they will really have to up their showroom presentation.

My first experience here was very good, the gentleman working seemed flustered and like he had a very bad day but set it all aside and helped me find everything I needed. He also worked on the pricing with me and gave quick service. The selection was vast although I was only there for a few specific items. Would definitely return and recommend.

Quality furniture and accessories, kitchen items, office furniture, you name it they more than likely have it. Their price are reasonable, affordable and their customer service is nice. I've always enjoyed shopping there for many years and have recommended it to others in Oregon and relatives, friends visiting from out of state.

After researching several other furniture stores, we ended up purchasing a 3 piece leather sofa set from City Liquidators. The quality is OK since it's not 100% leather. Just make sure that you absolutely love the furniture because they have a 3 day return policy. Most stores are 30 days. I think Costco would have been a better choice to buy furniture from. Their return policy is way better.

Leave a trail back to the door - you could get lost browsing the several floors of miscellany. Household goods, large supply of office furniture. It's sort of like s HUGE rummage sale, with some really good find sand lots of "junk".

BUYERS BEWARE

BUYERS BEWARE

We bought a bookshelf and made plans with them to come back to pick it up. When we got a truck, we were told they had sold it again (we had already paid for it). They said they would keep store credit for us but didn't give a time limit, so we saved it for 7 months until we were bought a new house. When we came back, the woman was obscenely rude, lecturing and constantly repeating things like "next time don't wait a full year to take care of your mistakes", even though it had been *their* mistake, and we were not given a clear policy for how to use store credit when they decide to sell items already paid for. We were only coming in to browse that day, but she told us if we didn't buy something immediately that we would forfeit all the money we gave them. Horrible business practices, horrible customer service; do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

Love the items, BUT i call to ask questions and the person didn't even know what a futon is!!! Then transferred me everywhere in the store. Then states they do not carry futons? Even tho the websites has a lot of futons? RIDICULOUS. They need some one who actually knows home furniture to answer customers questions.

Incredible selection of furniture and various homegoods. Has a lot of great deals- I bought a silk shirt for 2.49! Make sure to also check out both buildings, as there are two (which we didn't see until they were 5 minutes from closing).

The craziest, most surreal store I have ever been to. Need a giant bolt of fabric in white or brown? Need a used gurney? A whole bunch of school desks? Used autopsy table? Or some reasonably priced new comfy furniture? Then this is the place for you! The furniture is in the west building in the back, and upstairs, the weirdness is everywhere else.

The only reason they get 2 Stars is because of their crazy HUGE inventory at all times, including new & popular trends. Other then that.. staff is scarce & few & far between. Prices have at least doubled if not tripled vs a year ago, too bad to!

A must stop by and check out the cool fun and funky furniture for offices and homes. If you a antique buff they have some old radios and toys.

The owner she was super nice, right when we got upstairs all employees asked if we needed anything. The daughter was very patient with us into making sure I was happy and got what I wanted. They went above and beyond with customer service and gave me a great deal that beat all prices in PDX that I went to and had them in stock. I love how it was a family business, you can tell they take very good care of their customers. Delivery was easy and they were on time. I am very happy with my living room set. Thank you so much!!! I will be back again!!!

Cheapest new furniture around.

Cheapest new furniture around.
But at what cost?

First, this place is enormous. There are huge floors of everything you could imagine, from antiques to hardware, furniture, dishes, you can't even describe how much stuff is here. Its all so random that its almost too much to take in.

On the second floor is the furniture showcase, which has really great brands for low prices.

My wife and I wanted to order a new sectional plus ottoman from Stanton. We went through City Liquidators because they beat everyone's price.
We found the exact model on the floor we wanted and ordered it with different/upgraded fabric.

About a month later it was ready so we picked it up with a U-haul. Upon getting it home we realized while unwrapping it that it was ordered BACKWARDS. We had already sold our other living room furniture so they let us use that furniture while the order was replaced. In about 5 weeks they dropped off the new set for free and took the incorrect one. I was satisfied.

Then when the ottoman wore out prematurely, we had to take it to get it replaced. They copied my original receipt and filed an order, but gave me no paperwork for the replacement, which was odd.

When I called back a month later, sure enough, no one could find my order. They told me everything is paper filed and if someone lost the order there was no way to retrieve it. Great.

After about 3 hours and 4 people later, they found the ottoman in the warehouse. Because it matched the color on the receipt I brought in they were able to locate it. However I feel that if I didn't have my original receipt it could have just been lost.
This experience really freaked me out because it was the first big furniture purchase for me.

I think with some better organization this place could really give great service along with the good deals. It all turned out okay for me in the end, but was a giant hassle and I'm wary of doing it again.
I'd recommend copying/verifying everything yourself if you order something through them.

I love this place. They have good prices and a wide selection of home furniture, office furniture and other random goods. I love to check this place out a couple times a year to see what they got and also pick lots of stuff up from here for my office.

From start to finish my entire City Liquidators experience has been five stars. The staff listened and understand my needs, budget and personality when looking for a new sofa. They were patient as I took photographs, moved pillows and snuggled into each couch ensuring it could hold up to hours of Netflix. They were so gracious when I pulled different fabric swatches and brought them into different light and compared them to wood tones.

I've had my sofa for about a month now and it is beautiful, comfortable and so classic.

Friendly staff at this family-owned business are very helpful, and the wide selection of goods is hard to match. Always a fun visit, whether you truly need to find something or just want to browse.

Not a great experience. Bought. Take and 6 chairs and paid for delivery only the table and 3 chairs where delivered parts to a 4th where also delivered. Was told they ordered a char to replace the one that was delivered with only some of the parts. was told I had to plick up chiara 5 and 6. So forward 5 months and several phone calls they finally have the chair I ordered. I have to lick it up of course. You can see in the picture huh ow I received it.

Unparalleled selection, prices and service. I bought a chair the day before Easter and when opening it the next day, the screws were missing.

I called that afternoon, and David (who had helped me the day before) found the screws in the warehouse and went completely out of his way to deliver them to me after work at 5:30pm on Easter Sunday.

I ve been coming here for office furniture for years, and will continue to for years to come! Highly recommended.

We were sold a chaise and were explicitly told by Tina that we were not buying the floor model but that we were of course buying and paying for a new warehouse item. Because we bought it at the end of the day and didnt have our truck, my boyfriend was told he could return the next morning to to pick it up if we didn t want to pay to have it delivered. He got there alone at 9:45am Sunday and they took his load ticket and loaded up the FLOOR MODEL even though we paid explicitly for a new piece they even left the feet on the couch, which can result in damage when moving such a piece of furniture. He gets home and I instantly call them asking what s up and without hesitation say they can offer $50 off (but they never offered this to my boyfriend who had already paid the night before and already left the store with a floor piece they knew they loaded for a person who had purchased a new warehouse piece). I went down to the store to discuss the issue since it clearly was shady from my perspective and only was offered the $50 discount I was offered over the phone. Which not only seems a measly discount for a floor piece but also shows no respect for the dishonest loading of a used piece, discounting it only after I complained and not even the moment they realized I wasnt getting a new piece, and then wasting my time having to ultimately drive it all the way back just to return it. I felt cheated and I told the customer rep (not Tina this time) that I felt that way, but she didn t care she filled out my paperwork for the return while chatting about lunch with a coworker, no apology for even a miscommunication. If you are a pushover, I don t recommend you shop there; they might see a nice person like my boyfriend and decide that they can just take advantage of that.

This is a VERY unique furniture store with a little of everything- no, seriously. There is an overwhelming amount of household goods, furniture and random knick-knacks. Some of the furniture is gorgeous and very high-end, some of it is lying in a broken pile in the corner and looks like it's been there for centuries. It is a fun store to just walk around and see what you can discover. If you are looking fot a unique statement piece, definitely go and have a look around! If you like orderly, organized, new furniture stores, this is not the right place for you!

A really fun place staffed by great folks. We really love our new sofa. We shopped around and City Liq had the best price by far. If you don't visit with these folks you're missing out and don't forget to say hi to Henry. Thank you guys!

Warning, their website is not up to date for furniture. I have bought several items from here, I like their selection. Service quality and friendliness is always hit or miss, but never really a big deal. Prices are usually reasonable.

They should really have 10 stars. I've been going to City Liquidators since I was a freshman in College (1982) because it was a great (fun) place to go gift shopping for birthdays, Christmas, etc. After graduating college, I moved into More
