Great college, unfortunately very far away from the rest of the world, all the instructors are well very trained and have a lot of knowledge, food has a reputation amongst the trainees for giving you a bad stomach, and unfortunately can back this up, food is very hit or miss

About CITB

CITB: Building Competitive Advantage for the Construction Industry

CITB, or the Construction Industry Training Board, is a non-profit organization that serves as the training board for the construction industry in the UK. It was established in 1964 to provide training and development opportunities for workers in this sector. Today, CITB is a partner of ConstructionSkills, which is a Sector Skills Council that aims to build competitive advantage for the construction industry and its workforce.

The construction industry plays a vital role in driving economic growth and development. It provides employment opportunities to millions of people worldwide and contributes significantly to national GDPs. However, it also faces several challenges such as skills shortages, low productivity levels, and safety concerns. CITB recognizes these challenges and works towards addressing them through various initiatives.

One of CITB's primary objectives is to ensure that workers in the construction industry have access to high-quality training programs that meet their needs. The organization offers a range of courses covering different aspects of construction work such as health and safety, plant operations, scaffolding, bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing among others.

CITB also supports employers by providing funding assistance for apprenticeships and other forms of vocational training. This helps companies attract new talent into their workforce while also upskilling existing employees.

In addition to its focus on training provision, CITB also plays an important role in promoting innovation within the construction sector. The organization invests heavily in research projects aimed at developing new technologies and techniques that can improve productivity levels while reducing costs.

Another key area where CITB makes significant contributions is health & safety management within the construction industry. The organization works closely with employers to develop best practices around risk assessment procedures; it provides guidance on how companies can comply with relevant regulations while ensuring worker safety remains paramount at all times.

CITB has been successful over many years because it has built strong relationships with stakeholders across all areas of the UK's construction sector - from large multinational corporations down through small independent contractors working on local projects - everyone benefits from their expertise!

Overall then if you are looking for an organisation dedicated solely towards improving your skills or those within your company then look no further than CITB!
