Quite the place! Great location if you are trying to avoid the strip and get that gritty feel of Vegas. Staff and customer service was great but rooms were a bit dated. Stay here instead of the strip!

WATCHOUT FOR THE BELLHOP!

WATCHOUT FOR THE BELLHOP!
My husband and I usually stay here when we visit Vegas. Our last stay, we stayed for one week, checked out, and came back a day later to stay again.
A bellhop named Nick took our things from Valet. We got a room but weren t satisfied with it so we requested another room.
Our items were taken to the first room because I saw the bellhop returning to the front desk. After heading to the second room, it took 45 minutes for Nick to bring up our items, and some luggage was missing, $1,080 worth to be exact.
We plan to not go back to the Plaza ever.

It's pretty clear once you get to your room that this hotel has seen better days, but it's fairly cheap and has quick access to Fremont Street. The elevator from the parking garage was malfunctioning, and forced us to use the stairs with all of luggage. It was quite windy on the night we got there, and the doors to the stairwell have nothing to soften their swings close, so it slams violently behind us, so much so that the door literally warps from the force. The casino and lobby are pretty desolate even on a Friday and Saturday night. The room smelt strongly of what I can only describe as shampoo that has dried in an isolated room with no ventilation for a week straight with a sprinkle of bleach. It was unpleasant, but after running the air conditioner for a couple days it became tolerable. The sink in our room was plugged up and water barely trickled through, it also had a bad smell, seems like it needs some work. Also, the hotel seems fairly cheap, but they hit you with a "resort" charge for each day when you check out. Seemed pretty shady.

This casino could be a fun place but something seems to be lacking. Maybe the problem is that none of the beer on tap tastes right. Maybe the problem is the overwhelming small of air freshener that hits my nose upon entering the building. I hope they figure it out!

This hotels goal is total customer service while trying to make a buck and survive. I admire the staff and the young CEO and what they've accomplished since I started staying here 3 years ago. Even though there are places with more flash and bling that want my business, I will be a life long customer of the plaza because of their warmth and friendliness. They have made the pool area wonderful and just added a simple restaurant for people who don't want pretty hash house food all the time.

Fremont Street is now charging for parking at ever...

Fremont Street is now charging for parking at every Casino in the Fremont Street Experience area. The Plaza DOES NOT have free parking. Their Valet parking is only free for guests staying at their hotel. Visitors who wish to valet must pay $12 for 0-4 hours and $15 for anything more than 4 hours. It was a tangled mess trying to park. Only two guys were working the valet area. The worst part was that there was only one tiny sign explaining the parking fees near the main valet station and we were not able to read it until we were one or two cars from the front of the line; we had already been waiting for fifteen minutes. Take an Uber or Lyft. The traffic and parking nightmare will taint your evening.

Slots tighter than the other casinos in the vicini...

Slots tighter than the other casinos in the vicinity. The background music is horribly loud, and makes it difficult to hear during conversations. The house band is amazing, but very loud as well. Not a good place to hang out with friends. Most tables are full of people who obviously want to give money to the Plaza you hardly ever win, even at Blackjack. Employees are not very friendly inside the casino, girls rarely bring drinks to the slot players. As for the "Upgrades" they did to the rooms recently, it isn't even worth mentioning. The beds are still uncomfortable and the bathroom is so small you can hardly turn around. It is an iconic hotel that is conveniently located at the end of the Freemont Experience, so it is a busy place. My suggestion is to look at the other hotels in the area, it's not worth the money to stay here. Absolutely nothing special about it.

The Plaza Hotel was once the bain of the Fremont Street Experience, it no longer is. I've noticed a lot of casinos near Fremont Street have gone through something of a renaissance. At one time I was afraid to be around the the Plaza Hotel for fear of my life. Now the hotel is fairly nice. I ate at Hash House A Go Go which was a good experience. My waitress was professional and my food was very good. Along with the nicer enviroment comes prices that a little higher than what you would find at the old Plaza. I assume the higher prices are a deterrent to a crowd you may have found at the old Plaza Hotel and Casino. Overall I would recommend the Plaza Hotel as a nice place to have a nice lunch if you're near Fremont Street while visiting Vegas.

IT STILL STUNK. I GOT high on smelling the fumes of msrajuna in this hotel. NO COFFEE POT IN HOTEL AND WATER PRESSURE sucked. WOULD NEVER RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE TO NOBODY. terrible!

It was nice and has been upgraded and remodeled. Friendly employees. But I am a local and parking was a rip-off. I went there for a timeshare presentation and then walked the Fremont experience. I was there for 4 and a half hours and Parking was $25. There was no posted amounts for parking so it was SHOCKING!!! What a rip-off..

Really outdated and not so clean. People there are not that friendly and when you have an issue they say the manager will be contacting you and they don't. I will not go back because for a few dollars extra I can stay somewhere 10 times better.

Th Plaza has an excellent location, but even with the remodel, our room was showing it's age, with a bathroom door that could not be closed without lifting the toilet seat, a noisey a/c, a weirdly archaic tv system (tune to channel 2 for the scrolling guide like it's 1999), and easily the worst and most obnoxious to use parking garage I have seen in Vegas. The room itself is alright, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view.

The experience was quite awesome. I did my booking for JusCollege and I love being on Fremont Street. The Plaza is one of the cleanest hotels to stay at if you're on Fremont. Unfortunately, during my stay, something was wrong with how the elevators decided to pick up passengers. Sometimes it took a whole 15 minutes for an elevator and it happened all week, not just one day. Besides that, awesome rooms and Hash House a Go Go is awesome.

fast check in, clean rooms, Great low rates on the rooms, just keep in mind that they are pretty dated and some even need remodeling. You might recognize the front entrance from TV shows, movies and music videos. Parking is strictly just for hotel guest and you will get towed if you don't stay there. If you get a room facing the front you'll have a great view of Fremont street as well as walking distance to all the area
