Have a private beach for them self, that's the main attraction. Away from all typical Goa mess... Very peaceful enviornment

I visited the place last year along with my colleague as I was here on some official work for a span of 2 days. Our company decided to keep the client meeting there so we were told to stay here.
We then came to know it was property Of Taj hotels itself we were amused.
Talking about the services we got we just amazing and great as we were on official work.
The place is nicely built near the Dona Paula area of Goa a well known tourist place.
The look on the beach with the mixture of solitude which the place offers is just wonderful.
We had amazing staff to cater our services.
The food here is good not that great as far as other local restaurants are concerned.
We had an amazing stay here with complete services and full care was taken of us.
Would love to visit soon.

Proper 5 star resort... private beach.. kind staff.. overall superrrr place for relaxation

My family and I had a lunch buffet this afternoon. Good selection of north indian veg and non veg food. Quality of the food was good however there are no beverages included in the buffet package. Ambience is great and the staff really look well after the guest. Will visit again in the future.

We are here from UK and stayed at the Cidade Hotel in Goa. Saumalya at the reception was very helpful, curtious and friendly. He resolved all the matters in a very professional way. We were very impressed with his service and manners.

I had visited this place for my cousin's wedding. Although I cannot talk about the rooms and such, the service is top-notch with polite and friendly staff. The property is very picturesque with beautiful views of the beach. The food was exceptional too, simple yet very delicious.

Place is good, but not compared to Taj.. Its basically Taj acquired property.
Need to improve their standards to be at the next level.
The ambience or natural beauty is really amazing as its connected to a beach
The rooms are little compact.
The food was amazing.. Especially mutton roganghosh
And goan fish curry.

The trip was sponsored by someone so no idea how expensive it is but this location is one of the best one in Goa

Yep.A very nice resort,with a secluded beach ,a pool, a fitness center ,A lot of nice restaurants and cafes and very nice and maintained rooms.It could be stamped as VERY costly,but it's a 5 star resort, What'd you expect?

Just Great Place to stay. Costly in a way, but not in the way it serves. It's worth it to stay even a single day here. The place is so beautiful and we'll designed but the famous architect. Many restaurants serving different types of cuisine. Choices of accommodation available.

We stayed next door at Sandalwood but frequented the restaurant and espresso bar here multiple times a day for a week until we attempted to walk over using the same walking path as usual but this time with a couple local friends. For seemingly no other reason we were turned away and told we could only access the facility through the lobby which is about 1km up hill. Their reasoning for this is they need visitors to go through a metal detector. Since we had a car we went back and drove up to enter as they asked us. Our friends car is small so it took us two trips to get everyone there. On the first trip up only euro looking people entered the building and they were not required to pass through the metal detector. Once the other half of the group arrived which included our Goan friends they were all made to go through the detector which was triggered by every person who walked through but no one monitoring the device seemed to care and let everyone walk into the facility.
It made absolutely no sense to make us jump through these absurd hoops to spend money at their establishment. While we really enjoyed the food and service at the espresso bar and restaurant we decided not to frequent them any longer due to their ludicrous & clearly biased security rules. The walk between hotels is only a few hundred yards but since we d have to grab a taxi each time we wanted to eat we decided to frequent establishments that were inviting and actually wanted our business instead or just eat at sandalwood which is also adequate.

Edit: while I appreciate the time taken to respond this was not a single incident. It was just the one that convinced us the bias we were experiencing was not a coincidence. If you want to make a show of your security as you clearly do but have multiple ways of accessing your open to the public eating establishments perhaps set up a screening option at all of them rather than forcing your most likely clientele to walk up hill such a distance to spend money with you. Altho after hearing about our granddaughter being served food with worms in it I highly doubt we or anyone we know will be back regardless where we stay.

Location is nice . Food was also nice, you can also enjoy beach but only thing I felt was room is not value for money. It doesn't seem to be that good 5 star hotel. But if you get some discount then just enjoy it.

Everytime i visit goa i stay only at cidade de goa, it genuinly describes the meaning of one stop for all you need to relax. From rooms to resto's , pools to beach everything is just fabulous. Not just family hotel, you can stay there with your friends or can organise a business meeting over there.
At last i can only say that if in goa then stay at Cidade de Goa only..

The Architecture by Charles Correa compliments the sea and the vernacular architecture of Goa with a modernist touch

Very good place. Bit highly priced. 7 star prices at 3 star facilities

Beautiful hotel....very good and polite staff...food is also nice...only one major minus point is this place is great for luxury stay....but if u want to explore goa than its very difficult as situation of cidade is quite far from baga and calangute beach....u have to take transport from hotel itself which is costing approx INR 2000 for 5 hours....except this.....worth of money ....great hospitality...
