Pizza Contadina was truly outstanding. Cannoli looked too good to pass up and indeed it was. Waiter was excellent.

I went here for my birthday on a recommendation from a friend and the atmosphere both inside and out is wonderful. The only comment I had on their outside dining experience was that there was a lot of bees, so we moved inside. The waitress was understanding and let us know that they are working on getting rid of the bees. Service and food were great!

Quaint,nice restaurant across from the mission. Food was delicious, thoroughly enjoyed the lasagna It was a generous portion but $17. Wonderful hot to start with delicious olive oil to dip.

Love this place. I was VERY surprised, my first time. Kept going back. Love the staff and the owner too. Great food and great service! Sit at the bar and have Luis Carlos serve you the most delicious cocktails and great conversation too!

Simply Delicious! The fresh baked bread with Wonderful chopped Olives and oil. The Salmon salad was very good as well as the Ciao pasta with chicken, mushrooms and pink sauce.

This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. It's a great middle ground meeting place between us in Oceanside and our friends in Orange County. You can sit indoors or enjoy the lovely outdoor patio. Seriously good Italian food!

Just okay, not a bit more. Ok if you like a very small dish of plain lettuce as a salad, and a main dish that is presented luke warm and without much flavor. My grandmother was Italian and she would have laughed at the quality and presentation of the dishes. Too bad, as the atmosphere is nice. Also, the bill was confusing to all at our table as it included both the gratuity and a service charge (couldn't figure that one out!). Restaurants that automatically include the gratuity are an insult to the customer and indicate to me that the service must be less then desirable on too many occasions.

Went here for the happy hour. IT is good cause they have it everyday of the week even Sunday from 4-7p. Everything is about $5-$8. There is pasta, pizza, calamari, and several other selections. Only downside is you have to have the happy hour in the bar only and their bar area is small. So expect to wait for a table to open up. I fell this was a minor inconvenience for what you get in return. I waited about 15-20 mins.

I ordered from them through DoorDash and I have to say, the food was very good they made DoorDash looked like Angels to me. The margherita was flavored the way it should be, true Italian style. We will definitely try dining with them one day for the experience.

We went for our friends rehearsal dinner. It has some great food. The pizza was really authentic Italian pizza. The atmosphere was great too. They have two buildings and we were seated in a longer one with the bat right in the middle. The staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend going to eat here.

Took my family here for dinner for the 1st time after reading this was one of a handful of exceptional Italian restaurants in Orange County.

I did my research vs. those listed in Newport and Costa Mesa.

I selected Ciao Pasta because Pasquale, executive chef, was from Southern Italy, near Lecce, and my family is from Southern Italy also.

We made a terrific decision!

Our family ordered Meatballs, Chicken Parmesan, Calamari, and a Pear Salad.

Pasquale was a pleasure to talk with and the staff and waitress were awesome.

Our meals were perfect and our seating was well distanced from others.

We talked about our visits to Lecce, Matera, Santa Maria and all the other great Italian cities.

Go visit Ciao Pasta and leave room for their dessert.

Sit in the patio. Have a glass of eine and enjoy delicious Italian food.

Great wine, better food and amazing company. We will be back again soon.

Finally real Italian cuisine. I ate fried calamari, pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, sliced with parmesan and balsamic arugula, tiramisu and I found everything not Americanized. Fantastic

There were six of us dining and we all ordered something different. Everything was delicious! Be sure to order a glass of wine, or better yet a bottle from the chef's region of Puglia, Italy. It's rich, dark, and smooth. The bread is wonderful with the olive oil for dipping. Beautiful atmosphere inside.

Excellent!! Had the Rotelle di Pasta, and I gotta say it was to die for! I live in Michigan and was visiting with family, I can't say enough good things, great food, great atmosphere!! Wish they would open a location here!

Food was great. I had pasta with fresh tomatoes and olive oil and it was delicious Bread was warm and fresh great service. Owner was attentive very crowded prices were mild. Parking is tough that is the only bummer but highly recommended They also have a bar behind the dining area that I never even knew about it is well hidden and great idea! We had reservations and asked for outside seating when made the reservation. However there were no tables available when we arrived which was ok because it was still good atmosphere

This place has a great decor and a great atmosphere, the service was impeccable without being overbearing, and the food was delicious.
Everyone agreed that the dish they ordered was fantastic and tasted really good, myself included. The variety of dishes is not huge but the dishes included are what you would except to eat at an Italian restaurant. They have a good variety of wines to pair your food. 10/10 totally recommend

This spot is a gem. With real authentic Italian food that hits the spot, attentive and friendly staff, generous outdoor seating and at a beautiful location by the mission, we were so happy to find this place. We went to celebrate our anniversary after Mass at the basilica with 3 under 4, one just a few months old, and had no problems. The highchair was good, they had crayons and coloring paper plus the table cloth has paper covering they could color on, and had kid cups with lids which they loved. Lastly, our waiter brought us our a complimentary tiramisu which was to die for. We highly recommend this place and will be back when we visit the area again.

Perfect atmosphere inside and out on the patio. It feels "fancy out to dinner" special. The gravy is great, the bread, good tasteful oil full of flavor. One of the best of San Juan. I am a local here in town.

My wife and I got married nearby and we wanted to host a lunch the day before. We talked to Pasqual (the owner) and he set us up in his outdoor patio for a lunch with about 70 people. He was great to work with and the food and drinks were fantastic as was the service from his staff! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We love Pasquale & Ciao Pasta! It has been our go to neighbor restaurant since it first opened many years ago. The wait staff is first rate, the food is well prepared & the ambiance is perfect.

I didn't care for my dish. Pesto perogi dumplings.

The service was excellent. Our needs we're accommodated by enthusiastic servers who helped make our dining experience pleasurable. The food was good and the canollis we're heavenly.

First off the food was great. The only thing I had an issue with was that as a single guest after signing my check and stepping away to use the restroom before getting on the road my table was cleared within minutes when I'd left my bag of leftovers as you don't want to take that to the restroom with you. It was a little upsetting to find the table ready for your next guest when I was coming back to grab the food that I'd Paid for and was planning on taking home. As a single dinner it's not like you can leave things at the table (like a phone or purse) someone might steal your personal effects. Frustrating as a single guest.

Service was mediocre along with the food very salty

Late lunch was perfect today. No crowd (1:30 lunch). Great food. Very attentive service. What more can you ask. Oh ya ..a wonderful house red!

Decently priced, everything was excellent from the flavors to the service. The restaurant itself also has a very authentic look and feel to it. I had calamari and the ciao pasta.

Food is Great and the staff are amazing people with awesome customer service. It is the kinda place that people will order for pick up then ask if its possible to eat there instead because of how amazed they are when they come to pick it up. Prices are higher but average for a dinner location and this i consider a fine dining location so yeah prices are overal low for what you get in return.

Great pasta. I love Alfredo pasta so the two times I've been there, I've ordered Alfredo Capinelli with shrimp. Can be a bit expensive for a party of 6, but if you ain't broke, it's worth it!
