Thee most calming place I've ever been to. You'd swear it's not a casino. It is well built and the traditional feel to it makes it even more exciting

The whole area gives you a feel that you are in Italy. Beautiful architecture and tons of stores to view

Love Monte Casino as a one stop place where you can see and do so much in such a small area.

Great when you are entertaining guest from another province or country. Ample parking is available and a variety of shops.

Just rember to have R10 cash for parking, although you can now use the QR code to pay for parking as well. If your a Tsogo Sun Rewards member (free membership) you can apparently take the parking slip and go to their help desk where you get a partial refund that is then added to your rewards card.

Still need to figure out where the help desk is, as it would be great to get something back.

I love the shows here. They are always of an excellent quality and I love the feel of this theater. But the guys behind the counter screaming "drinks and snacks" get a bit much sometimes. But overall a really awesome experience!

I love the atmosphere and the fact that it's all covered parking. It helps cause I'm a mom with a small baby. Also enjoy the variety of restaurants

The place always has a certain ambience. It's easy to lose track of time in here because of their beautifully painted ceiling that looks like an evening sky.

I found it really good. The place was very big from shops, restaurants to arcades and the main highlight is the casino of course. You are not allowed to take photos in the casino for security reasons but it is big. The only thing I would say it has a lot of slot machines than table games. I think it would have been more fun if they had more table games as when we were walking around there are loads of slot machines not being used but a lot of people liking to play the roulette tables.

The inside they designed it looking like Italy which was brilliant. You can actually spend a whole day there. Just make sure you have loose change.
They have dining in restaurants to fast food places I. E KFC.
It's suitable to bring kids and for all ages.
Highly recommend to pay this place a visit.

We took an Uber to this place and very easy. If you drive there is car park.

The decor is amazing, with an "old Italian town" feel to it. There are many shops and restaurants. A great place to bring family, friends and kids for a day out.

It's like being in Italy! Loved the shops and the vibe of the place.

It's a beautiful place I just have issues with their lighting. You can't really get great pictures when inside but that is part of the overall theme I guess

My family and myself went to Monte casinos dorito haloween festival last night, we paid R200 per ticket, that's R1600 for all of us, there were 2 stalls selling horrible stuff, the food selection was horrible. My mother went to show my nephew the big teddy bears and had one of the staff screaming at her "get off the grass your not aloud there!" instead of asking nicely, she wasn't aloud to smoke even in the smoking section, and my sister went to return her card at 7 pm and got screamed at when asking for her R20 refund she got promised, literally the only thing you were premoting was DRINKING around children! That was NOT, I repeat NOT a family event and I am disgusted that Monte casino would host such a poor event. The amazing Monte Casino, will never ever see my money again.

Monti is a place Joburgers will always visit for its food, cinema, theatre, casino and other attractions. (Does not resemble the actual Montecasino in any way)

The South African Las Vegas! Too too dope with everything you need under the sun and then more. Multiple dining areas, shops, play areas, theatre and movies, Casinos, clubs and so much more! Absolutely worth visiting again and again!

Leisure complex designed like an Italian village, housing a casino, 2 theaters, cinemas and a mall. I was very shocked for the 1st time; when I visited this place because inside it feels like an artificial Italian village from 1960s . This place provide Casino, 15 cinema hall, theater to held many shows such as drama and magic show from illusionist.

So they force you to become a member to go spend some money at the casino. Not just fill in a COVID form and let you go gamble, no you must sign up to become a member. I don't gamble a lot, and becoming a member ( and be spammed for the rest of my life ) is pointless. We walked away.

The place is a must visit if your in Johannesburg

Always enjoy coming here. If you're looking for a place for the whole family look no further. From arcades and movie theatres for the kids to unique restaurants and casino for adults you can always find something fun to do here. Facilities are top class, always clean and never had any service issues. Ample parking and great atmosphere even when it's busy.

Very beautiful. Looks like you're in Italy and even more beautiful during the Christmas season. There's lots of restaurants, there are theatres, a bird park, arcade, bowling alley, laser tag, gigantic book store, casino and much more. I think it's a place worth going to and there's stuff for all kinds of people, whether you want to spend big or small. I love this place.

So Monte only gets 4 stars from me, not because it's not impressive but because it's one of my local hangouts. Its decor is top notch, staff are awesome and such a variety of things to do. But I think because I have done most of them and it seems to be fairly static with what they offer, I cant in good conscious give them 5 stars. But dont let that stop you, it is such a wonderful place and great for any day of the week. Monte, keep up the great events and good work!

Monte Casino are not just for Gambling. There are plenty to do for the whole family. movie theatre, plenty restaurants,book store a variety shops to visit. They do shows and host competitions. it's so lovely just walking around looking at the cloud painted roof. Always a great family outing. clean restrooms and secure parking.

Where can you nake so much money in an hour. Atmosphere is good. Day and night looks the same. Drinks served on the table. Helpful staff.

Great place for hanging out or to catch a movie or for bowling that is of course if you are not trying your luck out at the Casino which is open all night. The architecture is really beautiful, resembles an Italian village with painted sky. You can also do some shopping.

Really enjoyed our out of the ordinary daytime Valentine's day movie at the Casino. Even if you're not a gambler the casino has loads of entertainment for the whole family. The theatre is on par with any national theatre in size and the quality of the productions you can see there. I recently heard that you can book any of the movie theaters as an event venue as it is privately managed. What a great idea!

A lively, vibrant place that I highly recommend.
Plenty of places to go have a nice family meal, or just chill with friends. You could even have a solo night out and still have lots to choose from.

The security at the main gates say they can't let you in and make one feel like they are a hobo coming off the street for warmth. Have to walk from there through a parking lot to get to the other entrances.

The Meat Co has the best oxtail poitjie. Loved the festive lights throughout Montecasino. Beautiful festive vibe and ohhhh what a great outing for kids and senior citizens
