It was horrid! I did not have my disabled son (47 years old) ID and therefore we were not allowed in. We were very disappointed and will never ever go to Monte Casino ever again.

It's a casino made to look like an old Italian town. It makes for a nice outing when the weather is bad outside. There's a nice selection of restaurants and coffee shops. Entertainment to be enjoyed from movies @ Monte, the Teatro, Pieter Toerien theatre, and Parker's comedy and jive. Not really much to do for toddlers but for older kids there's an arcade.

Monte Casino is one of South Africa's best Casinos and entertainment centers. I would definitely recommend anyone that visit Johannesburg to spend some time there.
There is a wide selection of restaurants rangeing from inexpensive to expensive. Upscale to casual. Everything under one roof.
If you want entertainment, food, drinks, gambling or just a place to walk around and enjoy the lovely layout and design I would recommend Monte Casino.

Due to Lockdown the place is a bit dull and empty, but I really enjoyed every moment of it.
