Great food! Great service!! Loved8 this place for years!!
Ok food. Ok service. High prices. Decent margaritas. No one brought me a real menu. Gave me a kids menu. What??
Chuys is what I crave when I have been away from home for more than a few days.
Excellent non commercialized food - clean cut and great queso happy hr
Loved this place until i learned they let my favorite server go, Devin. Wont be going here anymore
Try their 4 o'clock happy hour. Nice chips and salsa to Munch on.
One of the better Chuy's I've been too. Quick service and tasty viddles!
The steak burrito with hatch green chile sauce was great.
I mean, it's Chuy's, come on. They have great food and the whole atmosphere thing is welcoming and enjoyable here. As with any of their other locations, expect a wait time for seating during peek hours.
Helpful Tip: Feel FREE to grab some Chile Con Queso from the bar area while you wait, then more after you've been seated... unless you don't mind being charged for the exact same product delivered to your table by the server, then by all means spend away.
Excellent service and great food, always a favorite for some good Tex-Mex food.
Chuy's is definitely in my top 10 favorite places to eat in Austin. Fantastic staff, good food and not overpriced.
I love this Chuy's. The location is great for me as it's near home and close to the places I frequent. The seating is spacious - you're not sitting on top of other people and there is plenty of parking. If not in their lot, the nearby shopping area is an easy walk to the restaurant.
I've never had bad service here - usually it's fast and friendly. The food is what you expect from Chuy's - hot, fresh and very tasty. I love the food and the atmosphere here.
The drive-up and pick-up for take out is fantastic. The only problem I've experienced with this service it that sometimes there are more people picking up than they have reserved space - but it's an easy walk inside to get to the pick-up order team.
This is definitely my go-to place for Tex-Mex in SW Austin.
Classic Austin Tex-Mex, great frozen drinks, excellent wait staff, nice outdoor seating under the trees.
Great place to eat . Fast food great price and they load you up on meat
The emptiest I've ever seen the parking lot ever. Seating every other table. Very limited menu. But everything available was on point. Especially customer service.
Love the food and the atmosphere. The creamy jalapeno ranch dip is the best!
We love chuys! Food is always great and service is fast. Drinks are a little pricey but their margaritas are solid.
Not what I expected. Truly bland. The service was so good that I will be back though, yeah, that good.
A can't miss Austin staple for Mexican food, Chuy's never disappoints! I have never had a meal here I didn't love. I am particularly fond of their hatch green chili dishes. I had the street tacos today (Saturday special) and they were very flavorful and perfectly sized. The margaritas here are much better than most. But, most importantly, you MUST eat the jalapeno ranch with your chips. There is almost nothing better in this world. You're welcome!
Worst experience came first time to cheuys ordered vegetarian food chalupa n enchiladas n while eating we found something wiered n when we ask what this inside they told sorry about that it shouldn t be there inside it s chicken
They didn t charge anything but they should take care while serving people.
Great time for my moms birthday
Our waitress was awesome.. She handled our party of 17 alone...
Panda your badass....
Love their fajitas. When I am here I feel like time in Austin has stood still even though this is a new location at least to me. Friendly efficient staff.
Amazing food! The service was great too! My husband took advantage of the online wait list so we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a seat. My only complaint (that had absolutely nothing to do with the restaurant) was that we were set next to a table of college age kids with no filter on their mouths so my kids got to hear a lot of colorful words that I wasn't too fond of. I would definitely still come back....just maybe opt for a table away from the 'wall' next time.
Because sometimes you just need some Creamy Jalapeno.
The food is fresh, I really enjoy their fresh salsa. The atmosphere is busy.
The waiter was very nice and professional!!! Chips and salsa fresh!! Food was served promptly and atmosphere was fun! A great family friendly place for dinner. Not to mention prices are very reasonable
Every chuys has its own original theme and this is no exception. The food is great quality and an Austin original that can't be passed up.
One of my favorite Mexican food chain restaurants. Always free chips and salsa. The wait staff is always attentive and accommodating. Delicious margaritas and one of the best happy hours around, for sure, with free chips and salsa plus free tortillas. And don't forget their super creative t-shirts.
Great restaurant for families, this Mexican restaurant is quite popular, in multiple locations, but this is my favorite. The staff is cordial, the service is fast, and the food is great. Definitely worth trying out!
Service was bad....for was decent usually has better atmosphere brought a out town friend.
The food is good. Lots of variety of Tex Mex and texan foods. The price is high but the quality is good
Good food at reasonable prices with nice servers and strong drinks
Good food, decent service, nice atmosphere, great frozen margaritas with many flavors to choose from.
I always have a good experience Here! Food is great and drinks are as well!
Very Charming Mexican restaurant...Great Food, Great Drinks ,Great Service!!!! Thank You Jessica!!
An Austin favorite. Sit outside under the trees on a nice day.
Fed 21 people relatively quickly with great waitresses.
Chicken Flautas are the best! As usual, the service was awesome!
Poor customer service, bartenders acted like they didn't see us, took other customers orders. Fool came out cold, you can tell it had been sitting for awhile, tacos were cold like the bartenders. If you are darker pigmentation you were not going to get the same leave of service as others. I'm sure they will continue to do well, but we will not be eating at this Chuy's again. Lot of places with better services in this south austin.
Worst beef fajitas ever as if they use a cheaper cut of meat
Go here for a drink and free nachos.
And varieties of Tacos and Mexican. I like their green chili friend rice with boom boom sauce alot.
The foods was great as always. Today was even better because we also had the excellent service!! Maribel was our server today. She started with a nice attitude and a smile. She knew every dishes from the menu to match my special request for foods, quick service and swept the floor while not serving tables. She would be the person I want to hire if I own a restaurant. This 5 starts review is for her!
Get the jalapeno ranch dip for your chips, it's the best sauce they have (consider getting it on your food too, I like it with the chimichanga)
This place is a NO GO! Service was not good. The food was greasy and below average. The flauta is literally plain chicken wrapped in a greasy fried tortilla that was coming apart it was so greasy one soaked through 3 paper towels. Plus our waitress never came to our table after we got our food. We saw her when we ordered and when we got our ticket. We kindly asked another waitress for a drink refill and our food landed on the table next to us before coming to our table from another server. Not a good first experience at all. I would not recommend this place, seriously, don't go!!! Spend your hard earned money and precious time somewhere else!
Great service. Food was really good as well. Drinks flowed like the Mississippi River. Great outdoor seating available.
Want to give these guys a shout out for doing so darn well from the start of COVID. I've seen other restaurants struggle balancing the need for change with maintaining quality and speed of service. With this Chuy's, the only concession I've seen was a more limited menu. They've done an awesome job enabling (a very efficient!) curbside takeout and enabling socially distanced seating when able to do so. Awesome!
Good enough food, great cocktails, lovely setting and concept, and service can be average to great.
Excellent place to go with friends and family very tasty margaritas and excellent martinis of the house. Do not miss it.
Ask for the beef tinga
Always a min of 30min wait. Meh! Their Chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas are the best!! I love mine with fajita chicken! Love their jalapeno ranch! Yumm!!
The waiters are the greatest. Love the Green Chili from Hatch and the New Mexician martinis are the best,
Always great food and drinks, reasonably priced and unlimited chips!!
Food Poisoning. We ate beef and chicken Tacos on Saturday Night October 19th at this location and our entire family got sick!!
service great baja shrimp tacos excellent jalapeno sauce awesome
The food is decent and the service was good. Get the chiki chiki boom boom sauce.
They have always been in Austin classic but know before you go the menu is extremely limited right now
Great place to eat and enjoy conversation. Something for everyone. They added lighting which makes for a better experience. Check out their t-shirts! It only takes one visit to make you a loyal customer.
5:30pm on a Saturday. Very crowded. Parking lot full. Hostess estimated 20 minute wait, or find a table yourself in the bar section. We got on the list and then checked the bar area. Two empty but dirty tables. Servers ignoring them - even when we stood by one and tried to get a server to stop or at least acknowledge us. Eventually almost grabbed one who said to sit at a dirty table and eventually someone would come.
Self-serve chips and salsa. Chips all broken into small pieces and hard
Food did come quickly and portions are large.
Three people, no alcohol, were there 90 minutes from entry to departure without dawdling.
Good happy hour special. Great dessert
One of the best Tres Leches in town.
If you're looking for Austin tex-mex, this is is the place to go. Always has great food and excellent service. The drinks are awesome too.
Chuys is an austin classic Not the best Tex Mex but none the less
Green Chile chicken with boom boom sauce extra boom boom on the side yes please.
As of today Google maps does not show this Chuys in the correct location. It is south across from the Costco. I had to use Waze to find it.
