It is not exactly the exact point in which Jesus preached the beatitudes, but surely the mountain is just that. The Christian temple is built on the model of the one depicted in the famous work "The Marriage of the Virgin" and stands out elegantly in the center of a large flower garden, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea of Galilee below.

The Beatitude Monastery is incredibly beautiful! It has a wonderful view and beautiful areas to sit or walk and contemplate. We arrived a little after four, discussed the beatitudes, and took some time to wander the grounds, knowing that they closed at 5pm. At about 20 mins to five, a loud and pushy man shouted at people to leave. He chased people down, verbally abusing them with his volume and fierceness, if they didn't move fast enough for him. I was incredibly grateful that I was not in his path. I am fortunate to have had peace in my soul, or he could have completely undone the whole site experience. His fury was inconceivable, and I wouldn't have believed it possible for him to have had authority in such a holy place if I hadn't heard him myself. Five stars for the site. Zero stars for this man's terrible attitude.

Always an awe-inspiring place to visit. The new thing is the Tagalog version of the Beatitudes, given to the Filipino people by the Vietnamese, for welcoming the boat people when they needed it most.

The traditional place for the Mount of Beatitudes is on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee, between Capernaum and Genesaret (Ginosar). The exact location of the Sermon on the Mount is uncertain, but the current site (alternately known as Mount Eremos) has commemorated the event for more than 1600 years. The site is very close to Tabgha. Other suggested places have included the nearby Mount Arbel, or even the Hattin Horns. (Wikipedia)

Unfortunately, it is not always open. Should you experience this situation, then don't run away again straight away. From here you have a beautiful view over the See of Galilee, over Capernaum and Tabgha to the Golan or Tiberia. All of this, of course, only when the weather is not cloudy. From here you also have a view of the many banana plantations in this region.

I think that in these places every review depends on the mood with which you visit that place.
For me this Monastery located near Tabga, very beautiful but certainly not breathtaking and, among other things, recently built, represents a holy place where Jesus revealed who the blessed are and this is enough for me.
In the church the eight beatitudes are reproduced and, on the floor, the virtues.

The church is on Mount Nahum (known as Mount Happiness) and is also known as the Mount Happiness Church. Mount Nahum is about 150 meters above the Sea of Galilee, which is about 60 meters below sea level. It is said that here Jesus delivered the "Sermon on the Mount" which describes the essential teachings. Around the church is a beautiful garden with lots of flowers, trees, grass and stunning views to the Sea of Galilee. The entrance to the church is accessible to the disabled.

Beatitudes Church located on a hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee
Famous place where Jesus taught the Beatitudes
Built in the form of an octagon in honor of the Beatitudes

The Beatitudes Church is a church built to commemorate Jesus' preaching about Beatitudes on the Mount Sermon. Jesus' sermon, called the Sermon on the Mount, is recorded in the Bible chapters of Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6. The places in each record are slightly different, but they coincide with the hills on the shore of Lake Galilee. Today, believed to be either the Boksan or Suhun Mountains, on the northwest coast of Lake Galilee, located between Capernaum and Gennesaret, about 3 km from Tabgha, where the five miracles of O'Brien are said. It is the distance (Matthew 14; 13-21, Mark 6: 30-44, Luke 9: 10-17, John 6: 1-14).

The church was built in the fourth century to commemorate the place where the Byzantines preached the Beatitudes, but in 614 they were destroyed by Persia. Today's Beatitudes Church was built by the Franciscan Sisters in 1939 on the summit of Baptist with the support of Benito Mussolini (1922-1943), designed by the famous Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi (1884-1960). . The roof of the church has an octagonal structure, symbolizing eight blessings, and the contents of the Beatitudes are written one by one in Latin on eight glass windows. The pavilion in the front courtyard of the church is engraved with six symbols of faith, mercy, patience, justice, thoughtfulness, and self-control. It also houses a cloak worn by Pope Paul VI when he visited.
