Beautiful church with altar in the center with qualities that the Christian should cultivate. The golden dome inside and matte on the outside emphasizes that the Christian must cultivate his interior, not appearances.

We got there 10 minutes before it closed and stayed until the last buses started leaving. The gate was closed, but we're able to follow a bus out. The church is beautiful and it is a wonderful spot to see the whole Sea of Galilee.

In the Kloster der Bergredigt you can spend the night in a guest house like you would in a hotel: free WiFi included, the meals kept rather simple. However, from here you have a very mountainous half-hour path to the lake shore with the Church of the Multiplication and Capernaum. But the view of the Sea of Galilee is very beautiful.

A lot of business !!! To take advantage of it, one must be well concentrated in the pilgrimage. The Laura guide ignorant of many basic things, besides hiding so they do not see her smoking

The Eight Blessed Church is the eight blessings Jesus spoke to his disciples. If you take the Bible lesson seriously ...
Then you / you come here, you must feel deeply and very touched ...

One of the most beautiful and serene places I have ever visited. The nuns run a tight ship so any conversation that are too Loud is controlled.
It's such an amazing experience to walk around, revel in the scriptures and daily words and see people from around the world.

The gardens itself are well taken care off.

Beautifully landscaped gardens and beautiful church building. Whether Jesus really kept His Sermon on the Mount here is of course only a guess. He hadn't planned a sign about it in the grass. It must certainly have been in that environment and there is therefore everything to imagine. Beautiful to be.

During our round-trip we've visited this monastery. Its well build and maintained. Although not very interesting to visit in itself the location is very nice. You're able to look down the slope of the mountain towards the lake. I wouldn't visit this again, due to the fact it has to few interesting things to see.

We arrived at 1140 about twenty minutes before closing so we couldn't really delve into the content. We spotted some photographs around the Abbey and the Basilica of Happiness Mountain. It's worth a visit sooner and Eli quietly joins one of the many tourist groups who come here to hear the story or just read Wikipedia (that's what I did - a little bored of the kids in dry facts. But not bad)

Definitely worth of seeing, beautiful gardens around. The Mount of Beatitudes (Hebrew: Har HaOsher ) is a hill in northern Israel where Jesus is believed to have delivered the Sermon on the Mount. A Byzantine church was erected lower down the slope from the current site in the 4th century, and it was used until the 7th century. Remains of a cistern and a monastery are still visible. The current Roman Catholic Franciscan chapel was built in 1937-38 following plans by Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi. Pope John Paul II celebrated a Mass at this site in March 2000. The Jesus Trail pilgrimage route connects the Mount to other sites from the life of Jesus. /wiki
