Very beautiful area. Just to think it was where Jesus spoke to the multitudes. Beautiful little church. Side note, there is a 2 shekel charge per person to use the facilties.

Very serene and peaceful over looking the Sea of Galilee. Quote small considering the religous religious significance. However, beautifully maintained. There is a little snack bar there to quench your thirst, which can be imperative in such a warm climate.

The view outside on a beautiful day is quite the site to see. The church is nice, but I highly recommend spending time in the gardens and taking in the view

The Beatitudes Church is a church built to commemorate Jesus' preaching about Beatitudes on the Mount Sermon. Jesus' sermon, called the Sermon on the Mount, is recorded in the Bible chapters of Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6. The places in each record are slightly different, but they coincide with the hills on the shore of Lake Galilee. Today, believed to be either the Boksan or Suhun Mountains, on the northwest coast of Lake Galilee, located between Capernaum and Gennesaret, about 3 km from Tabgha, where the five miracles of O'Brien are said. It is the distance (Matthew 14; 13-21, Mark 6: 30-44, Luke 9: 10-17, John 6: 1-14).

The church was built in the fourth century to commemorate the place where the Byzantines preached the Beatitudes, but in 614 they were destroyed by Persia. Today's Beatitudes Church was built by the Franciscan Sisters in 1939 on the summit of Baptist with the support of Benito Mussolini (1922-1943), designed by the famous Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi (1884-1960). . The roof of the church has an octagonal structure, symbolizing eight blessings, and the contents of the Beatitudes are written one by one in Latin on eight glass windows. The pavilion in the front courtyard of the church is engraved with six symbols of faith, mercy, patience, justice, thoughtfulness, and self-control. It also houses a cloak worn by Pope Paul VI when he visited.

Stunning place for its location. Very careful and orderly. The Church, small but very beautiful, connotables details in the central altar and a wooden crucifix. On the way of entrance in different stones the 8 beatitudes are read.

Beatifull and holy place, the view to Galilea Sea is lovely. Is one of the most beatifull place in holy land.

Reading the Beatitude stones where the sermon was preached was amazing.

A place of great tranquility and impressive beauty. Easy access has good structure for walking and parking. The impressive architecture added to the natural beauty around it. Just needed to heed the Catholic rules and norms to enter.

The place is interesting. Worth a visit. Beautiful view of the Kinneret. Many tourists, entrance is paid. After 5 pm the gate is closed. Monks are engaged in growing bananas.

The Mount of Beatitudes is where Jesus gave a sermon on happiness (Matt. 5: Luke 6:20). The mountain is above Tabcha, 175 meters above the Sea of Galilee, but 35 meters below the level of the Mediterranean Sea. It can be reached here from a road that goes up from Tabcha, on Vered - Hagalil, to Rosh-Pina and Upper Galilee. The Sermon on the Mount of Beatitudes has 9 verses, each beginning with "Blessed are you" or in Latin "Blessed are you." The Latin word gave the mountain its name - Blessed - Blessed. In this place there is a Franciscan Catholic church, a monastery, a hotel, some gardens, a farm and a tourist center. Located on a small hill in front of the Sea of Galilee, near Tabcha, the Mount of Beatitudes is the traditional place where Jesus preached, probably one of the best known in the world. Pilgrims have been attracted to this place since the 4th century.

Stayed two nights at their hostel..Such a worthwhile experince. Highly recommended.
