Went there on Sunday to buy a chocolate box for a family visit. The shop is in a high end area and well decorated but the Philippino lady working there has not been trained on how to pack up a simple chocolate box, after spending more than 15 minutes waiting for her to pack it(I had to tell her how it should be done), she told me the cost of everything and added the standard 5% VAT, after payment she proceeded to give me the bag of chocolates and did not provide a receipt. As anyone in the UAE would know, this is extremely fishy, I had to ask for a receipt to get one. There are 3 possibilities as to why this would happen:

1. The business takes VAT from customers and does not declare it to the government
2. The employee will keep the money and not inform the owner about the purchase
3. The business has not properly trained their employee in the most basic area of selling

All of which are reasons to never step in this place again, stay away.

The best chocolate I have tasted in Dubai- the customer service was amazing!! And their prices r sooooo reasonable ! Definitely going back

Chocobon is a beautiful space I love visiting because apart from a warm, knowledgable staff, their gifts are customized exactly to what you need with care and expertise. They are the love child of an elegant Willy Wonka married to Michelin.
