Awesome Luau Out! The food was great and the show was amazing. Highly recommend.

I ve been to two other Luau s and Chiefs was the best hands down. I attended with my elderly mom and / children and they had a blast. We got the most inexpensive package and we waited maybe 15-20 minutes more than the everyone else who paid more. If it s your first time sure splurge, you can eat first and get a different set of beads but if those things don t make a difference the normal package works great. The entertainment, crafts and the early appetizers were excellent. The food was also very good and plentiful. Overall great Luau. If I bring anyone else to the island, this is the Luau I will attend.

The Chiefs is the best Luau I have seen. The Chief is a fantastic entertainer.

When we arrived we had to wait at least 20 - 30 minutes before we got seated. There was an elderly couple that should have been seated before anyone. She had a walking cane. The seating was totally different from what you are first shown on the pamphlet and pay for. The food was ok. The noodles had no taste. The drinks were small and made poorly. Since we were seated all the way in the back we could hardly see the entertainment. This was not organized well. I was disappointed.

Chief's Luau was amazing. The food was great and Chief was so entertaining. The scenery was beautiful and the dancing was amazing. Our bus guide K was so friendly and helpful. I would go back to this Luau in a heartbeat.

The Chief is funny, gracious and entertaining. The dancers were excellent. Food was very good. A wonderful experience and lots of fun.

It was amazing!!! I came all the way from Australia solo and I met great people during the luau. The way other cultures cook and prepare their food makes you think why don't we do the same. It helps bring families together

This was so much fun!! We paid for the paradise upgrade and it was worth it. Got to eat at the buffet before everyone else and had a great view! My husband was pulled up on stage to do the hula which was hilarious!

It was entertaining and a lot of fun got to spend time with a friend and family

By far the best luau I have been to. The food could be better but there was plenty of it. The chief is funny in subtle kind of way. The best fire show I have ever seen it's like 5 minutes long but it's amazing. Everyone is kind and helpful, no matter where you are sitting you can see what's happening on stage.

Awesome show with a wonderful dinner. We've been to all the Luau's here and this is the only one we recommend. Well worth the money.

The show was great and the food was okay and plentiful. Drinks were limited and overpriced. Do not get the royal package soooooo not worth the extra $$$$. If you want to be entertained and learn a bit of culture this is it.

Fantastic evening... started with a welcome drink, made our own headband, enjoyed some wonderful food with some new found friends then settled back to a night of awesome entertainment highly recommend this Luau.

We had such a great time at the Chief s Luau! R originally were going to go to the Disney Luau but it was booked. We are so glad that this was the one we ended up going to! Great food, funny show, and such talented performers! We loved every minute of it and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area!

Overview of Hawaiian culture and Polynesia in general. Interesting enough, but overall disappointed. A few years earlier, when I was on Easter Island, I liked a similar show much more. There were some glamorous moments, but as a whole it wasn't something that I would go for again. Insertions with the audience were completely unnecessary. On a big plus - the leader. Food good but not crazy either.

My husband & I were a little disappointed by the food & half of the show was only ok. The best part of the show was the fire dancers but the performance was a little short lived. Everybody was really nice though.

This was a blast! Go for the expensive one, whatever color that is... You get in the front and can see everything great! You get your choice of Lei and the buffet is not too bad. It's almost impossible to start the fire, you will see and understand . The Luau is really well done, all are extremely talented. There may be other Luau options but this one was really awesome!

A must do event. Proud passionate people sharing culture, food, entertainment and love. Take the tour bus it was also enjoyable.

Absolutely the luau to go to! It s a little bit of a drive from Waikiki, but very well worth it!!!

The Cheif's Luau is sure to meet or exceed your expectations. I'll start with the good: The Cheif is hilarious! His cadence and delivery while teaching you about the culture and history of the polynesian islands will have you in tears. He involves many members of the audience, you feel like you're part of the show. The activities before the show are so much fun. You don't have much time so have something in mind before you get there. There are a few booths for vendors that are very reasonably priced. Save your money and wait until you get to the luau to buy authentic souvenirs for yourself and family members. The food was amazing. You'd think buffet style for 400+ people would take you back to high school or church camp but they really knock it out the park. Be sure to get the mahi mahi and try the papaya dressing for your side salad.
My biggest complaint for the luau is the location. You are literally in a water park. For me it pulls away from the authenticity of the event. Until the sun goes down you can see water slide directly behind the stage.

Absolutely great entertainment!!!! The royal Luau included steak and China plates and 1st buffet service. not sure if it's totally necessary. It also included 3 drink coupons. But we went for the entertainment not necessarily gourmet dining. Lol

Really enjoyed the luau! Was a little skeptical when I first saw that it was in a waterpark, but once we were inside it was a gorgeous setting! The dancers mingled and had other things they did prior to the actual luau, and were really personable, and seemed to truly really enjoy what they were doing. Food was terrific, although we never saw the steaks (we were in the middle group so maybe that wasn't part of our meal?). There was plenty to eat, even without the steaks though. Totally enjoyed our evening & would highly recommend!!

This lualu was fantastic if you are coming to Waikiki I highly recommend that you do this.

The chief was awesome! We were some of the last to arrive and still had plenty of time for pics with the Chief, temp tattoos, and to learn how to make palm leaf head bands. A bottle of wine was only $16. We did have one vegan in our group & the food options weren t great for him.

It was a great experience. We did the combo that included admission to Sea Life Park. A nice bus picked us up near our hotel and took us to the park in time for the dolphin show. After we finished up at the park we checked into the luau. Pre-show activities were fun. The food was delicious. The entertainment was great. The chief was hilarious. At the end of the night a bus took us back to our hotel. Worth every penny and far more economical than other shows that were available. Will come back next time we are in Hawaii.

We loved Chief's Luau, one of the best things we did all week on our vacation. The atmosphere was nice, the food was great, and the entertainment was great. The Chief was very funny and entertaining, but also put on a great show, the fire show at the end was awesome. I looked into other Luau's before booking, and this was the only one that not only didn't charge for my daughter (she's 3) but still gave her a seat and her own meal. She's a very picky eater, so not having to pay for the tiny bit that she ate was awesome, and while she did fall asleep in my lap, it was so nice to have a seat for her so we could enjoy our food and the show. Definitely recommend, especially for those with small children.

Such an amazing show and every person involved in the luau was so personable and inviting. We laughed so hard and had such a great time! Even cried a little during the love dance! Fire dance was so exciting!!
Chad was our bus guide and he made sure to personally remember each of our names and have actual conversations with us. Such a perfect experierence and thank you isn't enough. Mahalo!

Chief Sielu touched our hearts with his stories. I appreciated how he honored his parents, and shared love for our anniversary. Except for the umu pig which was awesome, the food was a bit underwhelming (though I totally understand the challenges of catering outside). I wish we had a bit more time with the vendors (I probably would have purchased more items), but Chief's presentation is what made the entire event well worth it overall. Mahalo nui loa!

If you are going to Hawaii you have to do a Luau, once. I would recommend this one. The people involved are "real" they are not just actors, the are involved in competitions, traditional methods, it was a fun show... I do not remember the food but to be honest I went for the show.

A great way to end a vacation

Celebrated my mom and aunts 75th Birthdays. They enjoyed every minute of it, from the hotel pick up to assisting my seniors being seated, the headbands, the food, drinks, and the show was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended. Ask for "Cousin" Calvin

The Luau was very poorly organized. It happened to rain on the night we went. The staff knew it was going to rain that night, but did nothing to prepare. We sat in the rain eating our dinner with no protection from the rain. There were babies and people in wheelchairs that were getting wet because no protection from the rain was offered. Everyone sat in the rain and ate wet food. The Chief asked if we wanted to continue the show and we all said no. The show still continued where everyone was miserable and wet. The next day we asked for a refund, but they told us we would not get one because we stayed for the entire show. We did not find out until the next day that we could have left and gotten a refund. We were never told this at the show and were forced to stay. The Luau drove us and the transportation cost was included in our ticket. Thus, the only other option for us to leave would have been to call an Uber at an additional cost. We were very unhappy with our experience, and we do not recommend it isif there any chance that it might rain.

Great experience enjoy every minute. Are tour guide cuzin mafi really funny made the shuttle ride funny. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Ask for cuzin mafi as a tour guide

Out of all the Luau that I have been here in the island this would be middle to low end. Food is ok, activities are really low. Drinks are expensive, it does not compare to others.

Had an awesome time. Best show from any luau we have attended. The food was great, the pre show activities were well done. Only qualm with Chief's was the drink selection of the included drink tickets. But not a deal breaker by any means. Will be coming back on our next trip here.

Chiefs Luau was highly recommended to us by our hotel concierge. We chose the royal package and were not disappointed! We started with a 45 minute bus drive to the location, our Hawaiian ambassador K spoke throughout the ride, sharing stories about growing up on the island, his family, and the islands history. When we arrived at our location we were kindly greeted by crew members who provided us each with fresh flower leis and mai tai s! Our seats were so close to the stage, we had a perfect view! The food and drinks were delicious! There were little stands throughout the area where you could sample fresh coconut, have a coconut leaf headband made, or shop for souvenirs! We purchased a small tiki statue and the man offered to carve our names on the back of it! Everyone who was part of the crew was so kind and welcoming! chief was hilarious and the dancers were all amazing! I must say though, our ambassador K really made this experience all the more meaningful. We learned so much about the island, it s native people, and their culture. K s stories truly touched my heart, we all shared many laughs together and even some tears. K reminded us all that night the importance of being thankful for what we have, loving our family, and appreciating the simple things in life. He is such a special soul and I m so happy that we were lucky enough to have him as our guide! Definitely check out Chiefs Luau it will be an experience you will never forget!

Wow this is a must see while you're in Oahu. I wasn't expecting much but it was amazing. The food was excellent and the show was even better. The chief seems like a really down-to-earth person as well as everyone on staff.

What a an amazing experience! It all started on the tour bus where cousin Beau lead us on a fantastic trip to the luau. Full of laughter and food, itll be one to remember. The show was very entertaining and activites before hand made it more than just a luau. The best part was when I was left on stage with my then boyfriend who proposed! The staff did a great job with making sure I had no idea what was going on! Thanks again for everything!

I love this luau. The chief keeps you entertained the entire time, the show is hilarious, the crowd interaction is awesome, the food is amazing and the view is spectacular.

Nice show, so so food, great lead by Chief. Worthy only the discounted price, would not pay list. Good entertainment.

It was the Best one that I have seen ever and I have been to 5 different ones when I lived there. By far the best............. Must See....

It was very pricey despite mediocre food. Entertainment was great though. The atmosphere was also enjoyable, although not perfect considering it was held at a waterpark.
