Fire dancing was amazing! I wish that portion was a bit longer. I thought the food and drinks were very average for the price of the event. I'm glad we went, but it's definitely a one and done event.

It was a great show with lots of pre show activities. The food was alright nothing too special, except for the pork from the Imu it was very delicious. The drinks were mixed strong and very tasty. Chief is very entertaining and put on a great show and the dancers were fun to watch as well. We paid for the upgraded royal package and were a little upset by our seating. We were off to one side but close to the stage, our problem was we had no idea that there were fire dancers going up the waterfall due to our limited view. I think they should keep the royal more limited to provide only premium seating for those who decide to upgrade.
The show was wonderful but doesn't come with drinks of your choice. The food was good and show was entertaining. Do not ride on the bus with Chad as the ambassador! Chad plays bus games on the way there and back home. Unless you like participating then ask before you think you will be able to sleep for the 40 min. ride.
Great entertainment. They put on an amazing show. The food was awesome (chicken, fish, and pork).
Only small negative was an unpleasant smell in the air after dinner.
I would recommend the Chief's Luau! Excellent entertainment, we were fully entertained from the bus driver, guide & of course all the entertainers.
AMAZING. The show was very entertaining / thrilling at times. The Chief was very funny, the food was very good and there was plenty of it. They honored a young girls "Make a wish" request and the words used by cheif were so heartwarming, you could tell he has a very good and kind heart! I strongly recommend going.

It's a great show with a very charismatic Chief running it. Considering it was a buffet, the food was very tasty and none of it dried out. The bus ride and guide on the bus were very good as well. My kids and wife all loved it.
Good night out. Talks about the story of his culture and has decent food. Has plenty of polynesian dancers and shows. Just didn't see them use the knife tricks on the night we went.

This was a very nice luau. Lots of activities to keep you busy before the eating and show begins like making leaf crowns, trying to start a fire by rubbing 2 pieces of wood together, spear throwing, air brush tattoos, etc. The MC was funny and very likeable. The live music was fantastic and the backdrop behind the stage of the ocean and island was breathtaking. The show was exceptional with many different types of Pacific island dancing showcased. They also had kids/adults come onstage to learn a dance and separately, had honeymooners and anyone celebrating an anniversary come onstage to dance. Personally, we found these two parts a little drawn out and boring, but tolerable. The fire dancing at the end was fantastic and definitely the highlight of the show! The buffet of food was fine, quite a long line to get to the food (we had the Aloha experience, so last to the buffet) but they had 6 lines going along 3 tables and so did their best to keep things moving. Fresh hot food was continually brought out. The pineapple cake and bbq chicken were delicious! The rest of the food was fine but could use some more flavor. Overall, I would recommend this luau for sure.

This was our first luau and I reviewed many of them on line. Several were rated as show was good but food was bad. How come you can't have it all. We got all and more at this Luau. It seemed odd to have it Wet & Wild but my feelings evaporated after seeing how professional the luau was run. The costumes were beautiful, men & women both made us fill like we were apart of their family. The food was fantastic, the pig roasted underground needed no spices and the pineapple cake, Wow! I went back for second's that's saying a lot since I am on a low carb diet. The show was not just good , but very scary. To watch these men with fire knives, yeah knives not batons, spinning them faster then I've seen a baton majorette doing. Best luau ,very happy to find.

Absolutely spectacular event...a Must Do when you're in Waikiki. Exciting dancing from different islands, fire twirling batons, lots of humor and storytelling, great buffet style food and island drinks!
I was quite disappointed as it was a classic tourist (nap/) attraction. There are guides everywhere to show you where to go.
Busses full of tourists and you have to stand in line.
The show itself is about one hour. Poorly nearly half of that hour is no actually show by actors but more of an entertainment where the honeymooners and married people get encouraged by chief to come on stage.
Don't get me wrong, the evening was entertaining, the food is okay and the chief is funny and charismatic, but you have to pay at least 100 $ for this, which it is not worth. Sorry to mention that, because the staff is actually very friendly and nice.

A great night's entertainment from the moment you get on the bus. Yes, Hawaii's genuine Polynesian heritage is fairly diluted by 2019 but other countries are explained and celebrated in a really nice way. Fire twirling finale was amazing! The Chief was very entertaining and funny. Kids will and adults will love the humour and sincerity of the party and its message.
Could only be improved by the quality and volume of food. Many times we were told to eat as much as we liked, but the food ran out before we could return for seconds.
The show was excellent but the service was very poor. If you didn't pay the premium price you got ignored. The food was okay. Our highlight was the bus ride there and back.

Best thing I ve ever done on vacation, was skeptical at first about the price but was well worth it. Food was good, entertainment was extremely fun and then you got to learn about the culture of the people and everything. Amazing!!!! Only downfall was drinks were on the high side about $12 for something mixed. Overall though this place is a must for those visiting the island a 10 out of 10.
Most amazing show we saw! Just great. Get the royal package so you can see better with kids. Unfortunately the royal comes with great flower souvenirs that die. The basic package has the nuts necklaces that last longer but the flowers are very pretty. The show is great. The pictures aren't included and neither are the tikki cups, but you can buy them. The show is great. The food was limited because of the pandemic so maybe eat beforehand if you have kids. Dancers are so impressive and the chief is very sincere, funny, and just a wonderful man. You can feel how genuine he is and what a big heart the man has.
Our tour guide, K, was witty, funny, and took care to make sure we got the best seats in the house

Best luau experience yet! This show keeps you engaged and laughing the whole time. My face muscles hurt so much from laughing and smiling so hard. If you want an extremely authentic experience the go to the cultural center but if your looking for a really fun luau then this is the spot for sure!
Show was nice and they had lovely pre luau activities for the money but the food wasnt worth it and we had the most obnoxious group of people sitting next to our table who only cared about talking and drinking. Picture taken with the dancers was expensive and should be part of the package but you dont have to buy it.

They really make you feel welcomed and its impossible to not have a good time! The food i think could use a bit of an upgrade as far as presentation but it tastes pretty good. All of the events are well constructed my only complaint is there isnt enough time to do them all! But i was very pleased over all.
This Luau was FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! The tour ride there was fun. The tour ambassador got everybody into the mood. Upon arrival we took pictures and walked around. After taking our places at the table we then got drinks, viewed crafts and listened to music. Next came the meal. We all got stuffed off of the pig, chicken, fish, rice and salad. Can you say STUFFED. While eating the show began and it was great. They definately got the crowd involved.

We had such a fantastic evening last night at Chief s Luau. We braided coconut tree headbands, and my kids each got a shark tattoo. From the time we arrived until the time we left we were entertained. Every single staff member was incredibly warm and friendly. The entertainment was absolutely SPECTACULAR! I loved getting to see all the different dancing from all the Polynesian islands, and the fire dancing was so impressive. Chief was hilarious, and kept the crowd in stitches. I loved how you honor the military, as well as the fresh newlyweds, those celebrating an anniversary and those who have been married for decades. Overall an amazing experience. Best luau on Oahu!!!!!

Chief s Luau was a wonderful family experience. I booked it through the concierge at the Wyndham Resort, and had a bus pick up all ten of us from the front of the Trump hotel in Waikiki. The bus ride there took about an hour because it was during peak hour traffic, however the host who checked everyone on the bus, kept us all entertained with stories about her life, family and the island. Thank you cousin. When we arrived, we realised the Luau was being held inside Wet and Wild. We were greeted with leis made from different sized shells. The sizes depended on the price we paid; the more you paid, the bigger the shells. We then had our photos taken which we could purchase for $25 at the end of the show. There was also frames and T-shirt s that you could purchase. Once seated in our designated spot in an outdoor section of Wet and Wild, we were offered drinks and pu pu appetizers as well as fun activities to join in on. We made headbands with leaves, got temporary tattoos, learned traditional dancing and tried making fire by rubbing two sticks together. Chief and his staff were all very friendly and amazing entertainers. They brought out a whole cooked pig to be blessed before offering us the very delicious, all-you-can-eat buffet. We had fish, chicken, pork, taro, salads, bread, pineapple and cake for dessert; it was all surprisingly very delicious. tge show was beautiful, funny and extremely entertaining. At the end of the show we had the opportunity to take photos with Chief before getting back on the bus and heading back to the hotel in Waikiki.

Was good, but the long waits killed it for me. Also the seating arrangement wasn't so good. If you get the cheapest tickets, you're all the way in the back which is alright but you're sectioned off and you don't really feel like you're part of the show at all.
THIS IS A MUST DO! Could not have imagined a better Luau experience, amazing people, delicious food (seriously, so good!), and the BEST cultural entertainment! My husband and I WILL DEFINITELY be back, with all our family and friends!
