Great place for kids! Pros: Free covered parking, fast, easy and affordable ticket purchase experience. Clean and organized "learn and play areas", perfect volume of employees on the floor. They are helpful and aware of the kids and adults within their area, they spark conversations, are encouraging and recognize children's efforts. Easy to find restrooms and water fountain. Grandma needed assistance due to bad knees, they provided her with a large, comfortable new wheelchair. Areas for opportunity: For us, it was a bit difficult to understand the layout once we entered the facility, a small pamplet upon entering with info on areas to visit, emergency exits, available utilities etc would be amazing. Although wheelchair was easy to use, due to its size and the layout of some areas, grandma had to be left behind in an area where she "would not be in the way", watching grandkids learn and discover from far. Although not summer yet, this particular Saturday temps were predicted to a high of 94 degrees, yet the water fountain water inside facility was Luke warm? Really? Considering the weather and all the running around, cool/cold water would help both kids and adults. Last but not least, I understand this is a Museum and not a mall, I myself have visited many around the country and abroad, but even after a healthy nutricious breakfast, 3 hours later, kids were HUNGRY so we had to leave. A large snack, resting area would be great. Kids and parents could grab a snack, rest, recharge and be able to go back out there and continue to let the kids enjoy each area. If such area exists, we would not know since we could not find it in this perfectly organized confusing layout so unfortunately we left to a restaurant close to home. Perhaps too much to ask? But couldn't that additional revenue benefit the Museum? Other than these small issues, kids had an Amazing time and we would definitely rerun and recommend!

The kids love going here! If you are on WIC or food stamps, you get a discount. Otherwise, definitely look into the Pogo Pass or a museum membership for discounted entry. We go here quite often since it's always a blast and a great escape from the heat.

Locals with NV ID, there is a discount and here between us, because it is a secret if you have your library card, Clark's public libraries are giving up 4 free passes for a family with the condition that at least one child does, ask at the reception of your bookstore

Went for my friends sons birthday party and even though my boyfriend and I do not have children we could see the appeal to the place. Be prepared for the place to be packed but the employees there looked like they were actually enjoying themselves interacting with the families and making sure everyone was being safe. This does not mean let your offspring run wild thinking the employees will keep an eye on your kid for you!!!! I wish more people that have procreated realized this. Other than that this place is great for children and toddlers! Another bonus. Free parking at their garage and the place was clean!

Lots of fun for the kids ! Pretty much everything in there and it's fun for all ages !
They have discounts for families on WIC or food stamps, tickets are only $3 per person for up to 4 people. Completely worth it or regular admission is $12.50 still worth it.
The only think is the scheduled they are only open til 5 PM.

The Skinny: a great way to spend a few hours on a weekend afternoon (5); Protip: Bank of America card holders can get in for free the first weekend of every month, parking is free in the parking garage (5).

We love the Discovery Children's Museum for our little one. Although she is just a toddler, we are able to find lots to entertain her for a couple of hours. Whether it's crafts, STEM or cultural activities, there is something for everyone here.

My little one loves the water area and loves experimenting with the plastic balls that they have there. She also enjoys the numerous "pick a job" opportunities which include health care professional, banker, grocer, construction, and mechanic. She also has a lot of fun with the ATM to cash in her paycheck.

She hasn't really expressed interest in the fantasy area with the pirate ship and the castle as of yet however that area is really well done as well.

Toddler Town is a nice little sanctuary for the younger children as some of the other exhibits are dominated by the older kids. The kids seem to get a huge kick out of putting fake rubber coal into large green wheelbarrows and wheeling them around. There is a smaller quieter area where a mom can go breastfeed her baby.

I really like the fact that have a rotating exhibit 3-4 times a year. From nanotechnology to a cultural tour of Japan, she's enjoyed every exhibit so far and it keeps the museum interesting throughout the year.

Overall, one of the best places to go with a young child here in Vegas.

Wow! Wonderful trip. We visited this museum while in Vegas for a wedding. We have a great museum in Dallas called The Perot Museum and this museum is just as good if not better. My 18 month old enjoyed it as much as my 4 year old. Great trip

We love it and just bought a yearly pass for the family. However why does it close at 4pm on week days? If it stayed open an extra hour or two at night we could go after school and it would be very convenient.

Our favorite things to do is take our children to museums on our free time. Where we live we have places like Kidspace, Skirball and the Discover Cube and our little ones love them, however after visiting Discovery Children's Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada we have discovered what we now cosider to be the best Children's Museum we have taken our little ones to. Very well kept, no outdated equipment, being a multi level museum and having twins and a toddler in their strollers is always challenging for us, but getting from floor to floor was a breeze because the elevators are huge. Parking was free on Labor Day weekend. We will suggest that you bring your own snacks or lunch because they don't have Cafe, but they do have a large eating area, along with sinks to wash your hands before and after. We normally point out one main thing we liked, but in this case we "Are astonished and amazed" with our experience here. Highly recommend to take your children here. Will not disappoint.

It's a nice place, looks a lot of fun but I'd definitely wait till things go back to normal. Most play area was closed and the centers we over crowded . We just needed up leaving. Perhaps they should put a timer on the places where it's over crowded for other to play too.

Fun place for kids and was having a good time this morning with my 11/2 year old until a volunteer at the pirate ship/ castle area decided to be a jerk to us. My toddler was holding a cannon ball and a sword near the castle and the young volunteer insisted the cannon ball needed to be in the cannon area. He followed us around the castle like we were thieves until we took the cannon ball to the cannon area, then asked if the sword belonged to my son. I asked he had a problem with my son playing with the sword and he finally walked away and left us alone. I took my son to have a good time and unfortunately this negative experience ruined it for us. I was so disturbed by this young man s behavior toward us and asked 2 young staff what the young man s name was so I could let management know, but they didn t know his name and said he was a volunteer. Personally, I don t think people should volunteer at a children s discovery museum if they have problems with children playing with toys.

I have taken my nieces and nephews here for a few years. It is so much fun for them!! They always have a great time. If you have little ones make sure you bring a change of clothes as there is a water fun room in there that they will get wet in. They do have raincoat smok things to try and keep them dry but they still get wet. The floors are designed for different age groups and the upper floors may not be for the little ones but who knows they may enjoy it.
All in all if you have kids in your party whether you are visiting or live here you should definitely go to the Discovery Kids Museum!!

I absolutely highly recommend this place! My 4 year old and I were here for 4 hours and could easily have spent 4 more hours there. There are food options and a little room for eating or a quieter space. I even had a blast!

Very well designed and staffed. Most of the exhibits are functional. Plenty of educational and fun activities for children of a variety of ages. There was a lot of organized programs or demonstrations that looked good, but we did not do them. There were a few exhibits in the engineering area that looked a little bare -lacking the toys that originally came with the sets.

Beware of losing distracted kids, especially in the summit, which is not well lit, and has many exits and entrances on all three levels of the museum, even within itself via slides, ropes, and Bridges.

I gave the museum a 4 but the employees are too overbearing w the whole mask thing and give them a 1. My daughter in law pulled hers to below her chin to try and get the baby's attention for a picture and she was immediately yelled at but a staff member! "Put your mask back on! Masks are to be worn at all times!" We all jumped bc it was so abrupt and he even scared the baby who then started crying. This all happened within 3 mins of entering building. Between the few 30 extra people they hired to police for masks staged everywhere and the interrogation before you even enter the doors on the sidewalk to temps being taken and having to walk through a metal detector. ......... I can honestly say this was our first experience here and probably our last until virus is done. Just leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

I brought my 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter on a Sunday at noon. My kids had fun, but essentially it s indoor playground. I thought it would be more educational but it did lack in my opinion.

There are plenty of floors to keep you kids busy for some time and if you are looking to try some place new I say go for it. Would I come back, probably not.

The restrooms were nice and clean btw. I paid $58 via their website. They do have some snacks but very limited. Bring your own snacks

Its very expensive, especially paying for not only children but adults too. The kids had a good time. It seems most everywhere we went most the the young staff were having their own personal conversations and were sitting on and playing with some of the stuff. Which made my little one not want to go over . I did encounter a handful of amaxing staff inside the giant climbing tower, every time we went to a new level rhe staff was so nice and kind. But as far as the water room, music/science, grocercy and the theater area the young staff was not interactive, not social with anyone but eachother. Some of thwir personal conversations were not appropriate for the environment.
