Leaps and bounds better than Olive Garden, but a far cry from some of the truly great Italian food found in MSP.

The last trip to this location was fraught with poor service, including a couple of screw ups on food prep (missing elements and too cold). It's not terrible though, and pretty good for a suburb.

The food was very good. The service was not terrific. We had reservations that we waited an extended time we waited for our table. The whole time, four employees stood behind the host desk talking with one another and not making eye contact with any of the waiting guests for the additional 30-45 minutes we waited for our seats. Once seated, our very young waiter repeatedly called my sister and I "Dear" throughout the evening. Much too condescending.

So far my wife and I have had great experiences here, have been very happy with the food and the staff. large menu with plenty of options, great drink menu complements the food. Lunch buffet although small, never disappoints, and is a great value.

Chianti's brunch is fantastic! You get to try a good variety of their foods in a cozy environment. Their Italian Lemonade is fantastic. I've also been here for dinner, and their pasta is delicious as well. Definitely worth checking out, if you haven't been there.

Nice, restaurant, food prepared well, steak tender and juice, but being a cook myself it really did not stand out. Had to remind staff serving of an order that did not come out (chock it off to new employee or back to work after a long lock-in mistake). Will I come back. DEFINITELY. ;)

As soon as I walked into the restraunt I was able to be seated. The service and food were outstanding. Everything was fresh, hot or cold as required. The price was well within an acceptable range.

We arrived at this place for a meeting. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, it was very successful. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we shall absolutely come back again. Recommended.

I felt like I was not welcome here. I am in a wheelchair and I felt like I was not welcome. I had the same experience the last 2 times I've been here. I love the food, but it is not okay to be treated with disrespect.

Tonight was the second anniversary in a row that my fiance and I have spent here for dinner. After our old favorite restaurant closed down, we were looking for amazing food and atmosphere to rekindle and capture our love again for our anniversaries. We couldn't have found a better place! Both inside and out on the patio have an inviting, stylish, and enchanting atmosphere. If the atmosphere wasn't already selling us, the food is too good to even describe! The timing our waitress had was also impeccable, we never had a moment of wondering if/when she would be back. Thank you for being our new special dinner location!

Three people: one excelent dish (Penne Toscana), one very good (seafood Caneloni), and one (mine) pretty good ( Mostaccioli). I chose also the soup (Ministroni) but it eas bad - tasted like can. From a nice Italian restaurant like Chianti I expected food made from scratch and more care put into the preparation... not canned beans and canned tomatoes put together in a pinch. The water brought to the table tasted like chlorine (and I could taste it in the soup, too). Bread was served after the main dishes arrived, and only because we asked, for the waiter had forgotten. He brought us bread sticks, though, for the bread machine was broken. And no butter. Waiter was excessively and artificially "nice" and way too present (i.e. annoying). He also decided to clean the floor around us, while we were eating. That's also irritating and he could have waited. The floor was not that dirty, it was after 2pm and the crowd was gone. It was lack of common sense to be around us cleaning the carpet while we were eating. I still like Chianti Grill, maybe today was not a good day. But the soup should definitely be improved (hint: made from scratch with more love and care, and filtered water) and the waiter better trained. Excess attention and hovering around while we eat is intrusive. There's my "tip" for the manager.

Disgusting. I ordered their Spicy Chicken Penne for takeout, and the chicken was as dry as the Sahara, which was odd and funny, seeing as how they think drenching the dish in oil is wise. If I had a dog, I would ve gave them this, but the trash is where it belongs

The food is cooked by Chef Mike (aka the microwave), and it tells. Nothing is fresh. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day with this disgraceful restaurant

If you re looking for an early death via heart attack, then this is your place. Another reason to go is to pick up food for your dog, or feed it to people you hate so they avoid you

Very clean and accessible restaurant. They serve large meals and for inexpensive rates. I loved the meals very much and the waiters were very friendly and chatty. I recommend this place.

Reservations were made for two. We were seated at a table set for four. Obviously the reservation didnt mean much to the staff. Service was ok, atmosphere nice. Once we ordered a plate with bag lettuce and not much other effort added was served almost immediately. The pasta fagioli was good. Ordered two steaks. One cooked perfectly the other way over cooked. Wasn't offered the dessert menu. Went to celebrate our anniversary and this restaurant is managed for fast service for fast turn over. Not a place to go for a fine dining experience or even a relaxed dinner

Favorite restaurant for sure. Our special request for a private booth was honored and we were seated timely. Birthday celebration. Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere, fabulous service and fair price. We had the Shrimp & Lobster Linguini with asparagus in a brandy cream sauce - $25.95. It is an exceptional dish with lots of shrimp and real lobster meat/lobster claws. Done to perfection, server comes around with fresh ground parm and ground black pepper. Cannot say enough about this dish, ample portion to take part home. Comes with salad - the Balsamic Gorgonzola is worth the $2 upcharge, loaded candied walnuts. Delightful bread basket. Divine finish with Tiramisu - omg, yum - comped as birthday treat. Corking charge for special bottle of wine reasonable $15. Our server, Kathy also was top shelf - efficient, attentive, great personality. We are doing the happy dance!!

Chianti Grill always has good Italian food. There's nothing too exotic, but the dishes always taste great. Adult beverage selections are also plentiful whether its wine or beer or a cocktail you're looking for. I won't comment on service or atmosphere because this visit was soon after the post COVID shutdown.

Love the flatbreads and apps, and have always enjoyed th pasta dishes. Good food, good service, little pricey but you pay for consistency here which seems worth it these days. Happy hour pricing is always a plus.

Every time we visit Chianti Grill in Burnsville, the food and service is always exceptional. Our most recent visit, last evening, was as expected -awesome. Our server, Johnny, was excellent. His recommendations were spot on, even down to which wine to have with my meal. The food was terrific and my wife and I had a very enjoyable dining experience.

Very friendly accommodating staff & great food. We're never disappointed. Love it! My husband & I eat there 1-2 times a week. I just wish they had Caprese on their summer menu, especially with all the homegrown fresh tomatoes out there.
