Very nice but really over priced for the food. Better go to a Michelin star, same price or less and better.
Still the location is awesome and some of the staff very friendly and yet professional.
So if the food/price is not the top priority, you ll really enjoy the place.

We had a great memory of our last visit 5 years ago, but we were very disappointed.
Starting with the waitress, who seems straight out of a reality show on the subject of elocution and elegance.
Then she turns over the carafe, and the knife ... awkwardness that happens to everyone, but that detonate a little in this type of restaurant.
She then tells us that the dish ordered is not available with a very distinguished "there is no" without a word of excuse ...
Finally, the dishes arrive, presented in a banal way. The very salty risotto, looks like a bowl of soup. The chateaubriant excessively peppered, with fries reminiscent of those of a fast food, thrown in bulk in a cup evoking the paper bag of the same fast food ...
In short, it pays very expensive location, and it makes you want to test the small restaurant next door, which enjoys the same view, but does not try to pass for what it is not.

Really rude to tourists, tried to bully us into ordering more food by saying that there were other customers waiting when half of the restaurant was empty. Terrible experience just take a photo outside the restaurant if you want to go.

Not horrible, certainly, but quite disappointing. Bad value for money. Nice place. Overall: I do not recommend.

The food is good, but nothing special. It's good, but pretty amazing that for that price there is no more research into the flavors. It remains extremely basic.

The service really leaves something to be desired.
Unfortunately, like many Parisian restaurants in the center, they decided to leave the local population and make a "tourist stuff" to be in all the guides.
Everything must go fast, everything is a little done at the chain: the waitress insists that we give from the beginning all the dishes of the formula, impossible to change the filling, etc. In short, the servers are not there for you to enjoy your experience, but only to make everything fast and chaining dishes. The moment you put your fork, we just take the plate and bring you the card to go after. Quick ! Quick ! Quick ! We go on!

Note however that the setting is nice, the room is bright and it is obviously pleasant to stay there.

Very good mocktail.
If the waiters were clean on them, it would inspire confidence in the cleanliness of the kitchen and would have made me order a dish ...

It's expensive, it's not good, it's heavy, greasy and sometimes dry. It smells warm or kept warm. The place is nice and the terrace is beautiful but it is definitely a tourist restaurant, if possible not French. Tourists who would not seek the taste of products.

Restaurant cramped too dim, noisy, cleanliness dubious toilet ... a service that is not up to the proposed kitchen. Mille feuille 15 = bad. Note made to the server, answer: it was a "trial run"! Ignorance of wines.
In short it is a bad value.

Very enjoyable typical brasserie with a nice terrasse. Located between the South edge of Le Marais and the Seine. Very friendly staff too. Only had a drink there but told that food is good too.

Between the Marais and Ile Saint Louis, a small passage to lunch outside and enjoy the sun without being bothered by cars! In full Paris: TOP! It's good and the servers are adorable! What more can I ask to feel like a tourist in his Capital :)

Beautiful setting and pleasant waiter and service.
The dishes are good but not very generous, value for money really too excessive. We pay for the setting but some upscale restaurants are more accessible.
I will not come back, the addition is also incomprehensible.

The venue itself is really nice and for us, it was the best thing... that is as good as it got.

My wife is pregnant and has a Gluten intolerance. Consequently she asked for a well done steak. Despite explaining this to the waiter the steak came rare and bloody. We sent it back 4 times before giving up.. how hard is it to cook a well done steak... the chef obviously thought he knew better. They did take her meal off the bill but only when prompted.

Portion sizes for the rest of the group were also very small; some went for more food elsewhere afterwards.

It s quite hard to recommend visiting Chez Julien, but if you like small portions and steak cooked how the Chef likes it (not you!), be my guest.

Restaurant with quiet terrace. Bold and tasty cuisine (I tested the excellent veal tartare with truffles) but prices slightly high in my opinion. Pleasant waitress. Good wine list (I recommend Pinot du Languedoc).

If you like to throw your money through the windows, the noisy places, the rude waiters, be badly received, and a medium quality cuisine, go for a walk at Julien, you will not be disappointed. I went there once, I was shocked so much it was a bad experience.

Beautiful setting. Our waitress was very kind, we were with two young children.
We chose to go out on the terrace so as not to disturb the interior which is smaller. The dishes are correct.

After sitting on the terrace, 20 minutes later, the waiter arrives with an arrogance typical of those who do not need to be there. We waited 10 minutes to be served, but they forgot the fries that my daughter asked. Shameful! You must avoid

Great location. Quaint building, most likely of medieval origin, reflected in the odd shape of the rooms. The decor is beautiful and as soon as you walk in you know you're in for a treat. Service was efficient, some waiters being more warm than others and clearly familiar with some of the customers. The food was delicious and really well cooked, even if portions were on the small side. We went for the Chateaubriand. Deliciously cooked meat. I had the cheesecake for dessert.

Beautiful terrace but placed next to the service hidden by plants, we dined to the sound of the bottles balanced with conviction .... The service was hardly more friendly and expeditious. The plate is good but the prices largely raised. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Formidable! This place is characterized by the beautiful setting combined by the great kitchen and the wonderful staff which is professional as well as informal (and they are good firefighters as well, the way they reacted when a tent across the street was set on fire)

Staff was great, ambience was great, food was great. The price however does not reflect the experience, for nearly half the price I've found equally good food in Paris. A solid restaurant nonetheless.

Horrible experience, very rude staff, we waited over half an hour to get some coffee and juice .. the worst was see how they served the rest of the guests who arrived later than us, we Had to wait so long as the other guests left and we still did not have breakfast. I do not recommend it at all.

We dined my husband and I in Chez Julien's restaurant. The evening was just perfect. First of all the setting of the restaurant is very friendly and quiet. Really ideal for a romantic dinner. By the way, the service at the top, the waitress was very nice and smiling. Then the best for the end, the kitchen. Excellent dishes with fresh products. I had the St. Jacques carpaccio as a starter with the truffle risotto. A real treat, I think it's the best risotto I've eaten! For dessert the vacherin of red fruits: breathtaking! Thanks to all the team, we will come back!

Chez Julien's food is neither very good nor suitable for a lunch on the terrace in a summer heat. The dishes are granted in a hazardous way, and the products are buried under the sauce (the fish especially) which prevents to evaluate the real freshness. The service is neutral, impersonal, and very, very slow. And like all these places ideally placed, it is obviously much too expensive. The best is to make a very brief stop for a drink.

The venue is really lovely. Prices are expensive but not that bad. However the service was very very slow. After we were seated it took 15 minutes just to get a menu. The staff (two of them) also seemed unimpressed we just wanted drinks The bathrooms were the worst I d seen in Paris. Very unclean and with no hand soap. You would expect better from a dodgy dive bar. One of the staff members was dresses for a nightclub- very tiny leather skirt & cleavage exposed. I m all for wear what you feel comfortable in but it really did not seem appropriate with the intended vibe of a classy and expensive restaurant. The food looked nice and the location is beautiful so for a afternoon out I m sure it would be okay (as long as you don t need the bathroom).

Superb culinary discovery in a subdued atmosphere. Dinner in the chadelle, "old-fashioned" , very romantic.
Expect mainly French cuisine
Everything is very good and the dishes relatively well stocked.
There is certainly a bit of a wait between two dishes in terms of service, but this is still very correct.
The place is worth the candle

Birthday dinner for two - it is overpriced for the quality of food you get. Though tasty, the fish was overcooked. Service was not excellent, or friendly. A sparkler was added to dessert as a birthday extra, but that s all. Can t complain about the setting. We found the starters better than the mains (mushroom soup and foie gras)

What about this restaurant if not "but what are you waiting for?" We eat well, it jostles in our hungry brains as the dishes look good, the vintage decor makes you look like those actresses of the 1960s, or so it was the wine .. One thing is sure, I would come back , if only for the reception. A big thank you to all the team for this wonderful evening. I recommend !

Its typical french cuisine in a charming atmosphere. I had the chateaubriand and was cooked as I liked it but it wasn't melt in your mouth quality and sauce on side was just ok. Nothing fancy , but good.
