I struggle with not giving this restaurant 5 stars, but in the end I have to. Our waiter didn't fill our glasses, never checked up on us, and only came back a second time to deliver the check. It was the first time I left a 15% tip in a long time. My starting point is at 20%, so I don't know if the waiter got the point or not. The food is outstanding!

Good place, decent atmosphere, expensive but typical dc pricing. Happy hour is great, nice choice of alcohol.

But, they can definitely work on their customer service. Once this waitress told five of us that we can't move a chair over so we can sit at a table outside even though there are plenty of chairs out there.

Another time I was asking a few questions about the Caesar fries and this waitor was getting very impatient and when we finished ordering he turned around and said very loudly"Jesus Christ!"

Service at the bar was good. Ordered the $14 bagel sandwich and the bagel was tough, ruining the egg, cheese, and bacon which were otherwise good. The potatoes were excellent. Not worth the loot. Go to Au Bon Pain.

Eh.

It's unfortunate that you come to an airport, sit down to eat and realize the menu does not have one item on the menu that is gluten free. Staff were accommodating but for the price of the meal it needs to have better options. It is also shameful that #Prioritypass allows this.

The food that I ordered was delicious but over priced.

Happy hr is the only time I went to this location, on Monday-tuesday its all day, wed-sun its 3-7pm, not all beers are on the happy hr menu, but the food for the happy hr menu is def worth the price of 6 bucks max. Overall I rate it a 5 star BC for a nice service.

I went there a couple of months ago with my girl friends and got table outside for the happy hour. Our waitress was very friendly and when we asked her if some of us could smoke, she didn t see a problem with it. Then , once we got our drinks a couple of my friends lit up cigarettes. The manager on duty that day came storming out and in a rude way told my friends that they needed to put out their cigarettes right away or we would have to leave. We were all very stunned with the way she responded to us. But my friends started looking around for something to put their cigarettes out in. Total time 1 minute after the way she talked to us. As she was walking back into the restaurant, she turned around and screamed NOW.... I was so upset that I yelled back at her. If I had had any sense that day, I would have slapped that look off her face. But I didn t want to make a scene. Do we told the waitress we wanted our bill and would never come back again. The management at chef Geoff is really horrible. Never going back again

It's an airport restaurant. Food is OK. Service is OK. It's all OK. Nothing to write home about. Everything is overpriced (as they all are at the airport because they have a captive audience). Decent place to sit while you wait for your flight.

Fairly basic American gastro-pub type items. Service was on par for an airport and prices were inflated similarly. Items we tried were not better quality than a chain "family" restaurant. Overall unimpressed, but acceptable given the lack of options in the terminal.

We dine out a lot and decided to try Chef Geoff having read favorable reviews. Sorely disappointed that I brought friends to dine here for special occasion. They very well agree with my assessment. Ambience is nice. I ordered Atlantic Salmon. The portion was the size of an appetizer served with an overcooked baked potato. Way overpriced for what you get. Still hungry I ordered more bread to fill the spot. Service average at best.

Context: we descended on Chef Geoff's on mother's day for a graduation celebration. 12 adults, 3 children. We were loud and just this side of obnoxious. Staff remained friendly and attentive the whole evening, taking great care of us. The cocktails were amazing, the food was phenomenal. Fantastic experience all around.

One of my favorite restaurants in DC because the menu changes every so often, allowing for a new dining experience that is always consistently great. The food is always tasty, prepared well, and well portioned. Great for any meal (brunch, lunch, dinner). In the past, I ve really enjoyed the chicken & waffles, avisado toast, and shrimp grits.

This restaurant has an amazing Happy Hour menu with good food at cheap prices. However, if you come here to eat for dinner, then the menu prices will be much higher than average. The staff is friendly enough, and the ambiance is good for almost any occasion.

We were told that the wait was 45 minutes for a table and if we go to the bar we would not be able to move to a table unless we closed our tab. 2 minutes after ordering food two tables behind us cleared and the hostess told us that it was okay to move so we paid the bill. As soon, as we sat down the manager came and quite aggressively told us to go back to the bar. She then proceeded to yell at the waitress and the hostess in front of us and the entire restaurant. When the food came, the salad didn't have dressing on it (it usually does). When we were done dining and left the restaurant, the manager was blocking the entrance speaking vulgarly on the phone. overall quite a sloppy experience at Chef Geoffs. Their management has always been a bit off, but I have never experienced such an inconsistent service from a restaurant before. Step up your game - Al Dente is doing it better.

Chef Geoff's has good food. I got the BLT with avocado and it was delicious, but the sweet potato fries were overhyped. For a place with white tablecloths, the menu is a little basic. They should definitely be a little more creative and refined or lose the tablecloths and stop trying to be high class.

Our server was very nice and the food was mucho bueno! I highly recommend the delicious shrimp dumplings and the steaks. And the steak was cooked to perfection! Not a Morton's, but at least it's cheaper and it's local!

Probably the worst burger I've ever had! Burger was soggy (cooked medium rare as requested but that simply seemed to defrost it in the middle), fries were cold, bun was overly sweet and the cheese was a nasty gelatinous mess. Has put me off Chef Geoff's for life.

I came here because I have a priority pass. The service is actually really fast, food comes quick, but this place can get pretty crowded. I've only been here between layovers and had only 20 min to 1 hr each time. When it is busy, there will be a long line but fear not, the line moves quickly. You can also seat yourself at the bar. Priority pass folks, don't forget to tip! The Baja burrito (breakfast) is pretty solid here.

Been here twice thanks to the Priority Pass perk -- fine for a drink, think twice before getting food.

The first time was a quick afternoon stop for a beer which was a fairly standard experience. The second visit was for food, and I was served one of the worst breakfast burgers I've ever had in my life. A clearly frozen patty that was burnt and tasted like gas, an undercooked egg that rendered the entire burger a soggy mess (I've had eggs on burgers before, this was unusual), and they forgot the bacon that is one of the main stars of the burger -- think DWade on the LBJ era Heat!

Definitely will be back for drinks, and I might order a food meny that is more forgiving to lack of skill in the kitchen (like chicken tenders or a cold sandwich).

Priority Pass perk is pretty legit though -- $28 towards anything you want on the menu. Bring cash for tip.

Mediocre food at the grab and go area in the airport. Unreasonably slow service! I picked up a chicken csaesar wrap (pre-made) and bottle drink. 2 people in front of me. First one took 5 minutes (no exaggeration) to place the order and had to wait for her soup another 5 min. (wow). Next person paid with cash and it took another 3-5 min to pay. She ordered a banana and chips. Next it was me. I paid with a credit card and it took a reasonable amount of time. How this place will stay in business at this pace in an airport is beyond me? Oh and while I was waiting another 5 ppl queued up and were waiting to order. I wish them luck because I'm a fan of the sitdown restaurant in Tysons. Just pick up the pace and be a lot more sensitive to customer needs please...
