We love Cau. The food is excellent and they have good veggie choices for a steak restaurant. I'd certainly recommend.

Ordered a well-done steak came out rare. Sent it back brought me a new one and it was still pink throughout. But they eventually took off the bill without asking. Everything else way great

The burgers are delicious and the service is great. We had french fries as a side dish. The ketchup must be tried. It is not a comparison to the "German" standard ketchup.

We were traveling Europe and were only in Amsterdam a short time. My husband and I were SO thankful we chose this place. It s been over a year now & we still wonder what on earth is in the truffle mac & cheese that makes it so good. Literally the best we ve ever had.
Everything else was perfect including the service. As two very obvious Americans we felt welcome which I can t say for every other place we went to in our travels.
If we ever find ourselves in Amsterdam again we know we will be back.

A decent experience, CAU has a limited but still good menu selection with a choice of quality beef cuts. Pricing is a little on the high side although it is in the central district of Amsterdam and offers better quality food than your average tourist restaurant surrounding it. Service was excellent during our visit and they cater well for larger groups. Drink and wine options were quite extensive and desserts on offer were both unique and creative. All round an above average experience and would suggest you give them a try.

I came here for the steaks, they didn t disappoint. I order rib eye 220, with salads and grilled corn for the sides with a glass of Argentina red wine the sommelier recommended. The staffs are very nice and the steak was cooked perfectly. The ambience was chic and modern, not too loud, a good mix of tourists and locals, I would come back again. :)

Steaks amazing, place has a great vibe and staff and friendly and accommodating. The place to go if you don't want pub / pizza meals!

One of the top three burgers I have eaten; ever. Great place to sit down and have a meal. The Espresso Martini was fantastic as well.

Real steak restaurant with good quality. For lovers there is a steak of almost 1 kilo to order.

Cau is one of if not the best stake houses in Amsterdam. The meat was very fresh and juicy, we had a ribeye and a marinaded house specialty stake both were excellent. The onion rings have a sweet aftertaste and are very crisp, the sweet potato was baked to perfection it was almost falling apart but wasn't burnt or dry. Recommend you give it a try.

Food Poisoning! Also did the waiter ASKED for tip! I think the customer will decide if he is willing to give you TIP or NOT!

An amazing experience, great food, we visited twice within 2 days and the Latin Burger, the Steak sandwich are amazing, not greasy at all and full of taste. Qasim is a great restaurant manager he was very engaging and entertaining.

Great selection of wonderful food! The waiters are awesome, super kind and seem to be speaking all languages of this world! Loved it!

For NL a reasonably normal price level, even if you get in the neighboring countries for less money more on your plate.
Service? Well, it stays at his Amsterdam, so deduction of 1 star ...
Example: we walked past to order a table (for 2). I walk to the desk, says Miep that it can only be reserved by telephone.
I walk outside, call them and see through the window that the same Miep picks up, and now I can suddenly make a reservation! Do you still understand?

Excellent restaurant, excellent meat and high quality and not particularly expensive

A huge compliment to the staff, super nice and very professional.

The humus eggplant caviar was really delicious I would order again and again.

BBQ was delicious with good products. The medalion was very tender I can only recommend.

The meat could be better served but everything else to my taste the local very nice.

Great Argentina steak franchise. A bit expensive but you get to taste the real meat.

CAU was great as usual. I recommend Tira de Ancho medium rare.

Bad service, gave us a wrong starter, forgot a main dish, tried to charge us some beers that we didn't drink, and tried to charge the bill twice. Meal was really simple, basic cuisine, meat with a poor quality, could improve the empanadas, so many problems. You're a joke for Steak cuisine. Too expensive for something so basic. You deserve 0 star.

Here you can eat the best beef in city. The prices are average but the service and the quality is supreme. You can locate it easy as is in the centre of city. I tried ribeye , onion rings and frities. The ribeye was tender and very well cooked. Highly recommend.

Bad experience. I was ill and I vomit all my meal a few hours after diner.

Food is good but expensive. The service is nothing special and it is often overcrowded.

We were very fortunate to get in on a Sunday night without a booking. The staff were very friendly and made recommendations from the menu. The steak was great, the sides were very tasty. Probably not the cheapest steakhouse around but definitely one of the tastiest. Great selection of beers as well.
