I ordered a Chef Geoff burger with a side salad; it was by far the worst $13 burger I've ever had, and the salad didn't win it back any points. The burger was a dripping, greasy mass; why was the top of the bun covered in grease? I ate the whole thing because I'm a cheapskate, but if I'd paid less for it I would have thrown it out. The salad was ok, but I only ate about half of it because most of it had too much dressing (maybe some kind of fruity vinaigrette?).

It's been several hours and my stomach is still annoyed with me for putting it through that.

Attentive cook staff! My wife ordered a black bean burger on gluten free bun because of her wheat allergy. The cook staff noted the gluten free bun and knew the bean patty contained wheat so they came back out to let my wife know the patty contained wheat. They made her a lovely grilled salmon burger instead. Thank you for the attentiveness and concern for your patron's dietary restrictions!

Good service at this restaurant but extremely slow. Food was expensive as expected for airport food, but it was pretty average tasting. It took about 30 minutes before this salad came out. The bill also took a while even though it was pretty clear i had finished my foods.

Update. Stopped by again he. Food came out much faster this time and the buffalo chicken wrap was quite good.

Do not know how to cook scrambled eggs, first attempt, dry overcooked with large curds of whites and yellow, like started to fry and changed mind, second attempt also dry and oily, unfortunate combination. Coffee not so good either. Service is good though.

Fun and comfortable atmosphere. We even sat outside during the winter and the lights and space heaters were nice. Hosts/waiters are always super nice. Pricy but good quality. Decent amount of vegetarian options.

The food here is rather expensive as it is the airport and oh so delicious! The only downside was that while the servers are very kind and sweet, overall service is rather slow - not what you want at airport when you re looking to make your flight.

My first time there. It was great. The food & waitress were much better than I'd expected. Especially the appetizers. Could have made a whole meal just on the pita & humus, I'm getting that again..

Update: I gave another star back because they've been really good since

My friend and I were literally charged for the wrong check. I have nothing against the restaurant, but considering the limited tables during corona, it is shocking that it happened. Even more shocking, we weren t offered anything more than a meh apology! They just charged us for our actual meal without fixing the issue, putting my debit card below zero. I would only later get refunded the money I paid for someone else s meal.

I do feel bad for giving this place 3 stars because they re great members of the DC community. I m sure they ll regain my trust in due time but this was not a good look.

Excellent food! I had the salmon salad and the salmon was cooked perfectly. This place could be 5 stars with a little better service and little faster food delivery. It s not a place to go if you re pressed for time.

Watermelon gazpacho was FABULOUS! All food was wonderful. Our daughter just moved into a condo in the area, so this was our first visit to this Geoff Tracy location, but it won't be our last. Looking forward to a nice evening so we can sit outside!

Airport.. . Waitstaff slow and inattentive. One lady even slammed my glass of water down when I asked for a refill because she cared too much about rolling silverware than making sure guests are happy. Food and wine were good. Overall... probably wouldnt go back because of the waitstaff, ( ive worked service industry before... so I feel like I can base my judgment off that)

For being voted one of the best restaurants in Dulles the food was average at best, had the turkey club which was thick cut basic deli turkey with flavorless bacon and cheddar that had nothing too it. The beer selection is average at best. Co-worker had fish tacos which he didn't bother finishing since they were sub-par. The staff was friendly and attentive which saved this being a 1 star rating. Credit to the staff for making this a better experience than this restaraunt deserves.

My experience was at Dulles. The double margaritas we ordered were overly sour, so we added Grand Marnier to be able to drink them. Then my wife had ordered a toasted bagel that came out white, after 2 returns. The third time someone actually paid attention and ran it through the toaster twice. It was finally toasted, just past medium for a home toaster, but took half an hour. We spent over $110 on 2 double drinks, a breakfast burrito without the wrap, a fruit bowl and a bagel. The manager stopped by at the end and made nice abut noticing the bagel issue, but didn't use his discretion to reduce our bill. We still gave a decent tip.

We went for Restaurant Week last Saturday (DC location). I am a first timer. EVERYTHING I ordered was amazing! Sweet and Sour Cauliflower was amazing. The waitress suggested Ranch dressing to help with the spiciness...she was right. The Madras Curry Chicken was great. The Chocolate Bread Pudding with espresso toffee ice cream was a happy ending. I will definitely go again to try the Shrimp and Grits. The ambiance was good. Service was good. We were happy!

Chef Geoff's has been one of my go to restaurants for years. Consistently good food (my favorite dishes are the Black Bean Burger and Madras Curry Chicken) friendly service, and great value. I especially appreciate the nice outdoor patio.

We came to this restaurant with a big group of 10 people after a conference ended on Friday. The restaurant was prepared and placed us in a great location for our large party. Our waiter was fantastic (wish I remembered his name) and the food was delicious. They had plenty of vegetarian options for me, which I always appreciate! I am not commonly in that area of DC, but if I were to find myself there I would definitely eat at Chef Geoff's again.

Their sandwiches are stale, and they leave them on the shelves overnight. I only ate the ham and Swiss cheese out of my sandwich. The tomato and lettuce were disgusting.
I wouldn't recomend this place.

The service was slow, not because they were super busy, but the waiter was not attentive at all. We had basic needs, no special orders.. Just asked for beer and food and hot sauce. Well, other than having our food delivered by a food runner, we had to chase him down to get beer and hot sauce and the check.
Burger was subpar. Fritta was ok.
Waiter never came to ask is about our food or bother to check in.
It is so down service... Not serve yourself, as this current experience felt like.

Two apps and an entree was pricey. Parmesan brussel sprouts not worth the money; but the blackened tuna nachos totally were!!! Got the salmon wrap and was poorly put together but the taste was there! Last but not least, our server said she'd "take care" of the parking ticket for us. Which I thought meant we wouldn't have to pay it when we left. The $4 charge showed up in my bank account this morning, two days later. Decent experience but probably wouldn't go back for those prices unless I just got the nachos!

Great neighborhood restaurant, validates parking reduces rate, attentive staff, families, students, owner often on site. Enjoyed great Holiday party in the back room with great wines, crab cakes, rissotto balls, chicken skewers, guacamole, chicken wraps, mini pizza, fries for kids, mini mushroom quiches, fruits, desserts...Lovely friendly atmosphere. Tvs at bar. Great happy hour specials. I only took picture of the wine to buy it.

For an airport restaurant, the service was incredibly slow. My $10 vegetarian salad was supposed to have black beans and avocado to make it a "meal." It was the size of a side salad and had 7 beans on it and two thin slices of Avocado. The flavor of the dressing was good, bit overall it was a disappointing experience.

Chef Geoff's offers the best deal for the annual Washington Restaurant Week (WRW) - they are one of the few DC area restaurants that extends their WRW menu to include weekend brunch as well as being the only restaurant group with the most More

Lots of seating options, including tables by the bar with outlets. I ordered the Chef Geoff's burger, medium. Came out cooked perfectly, on a warm toasted roll; it was a good airport burger. Fries were a little tired, as if they have been sitting around for a while. But even though the restaurant was practically empty, the service was extremely slow. They ran out of diet Coke so I ordered a water, which came out after my burger, which itself took over 20 minutes.

I've been coming here frequently since I started school at American University 3 years ago. The happy hour menu is fantastic. Most of my friends get supermugs whenever we visit, but I really like the sangria. You are never going to go wrong with the Chef Geoff's burger or any of the pizza options. Service has always been friendly as well. Overall, a great place to relax and catch up with friends over drinks and awesome food.
