Lovely guided tours packed with info. Amazing encounters.
You get the possibility to thouch cheetahs with a reasonable price around 180 zar.
Worth the inexpensive entry to support protection of these beautiful animals. You can choose to opt for a variety of "experiences" that gets you closer to cheetahs (and other animals in sanctuary), but the entrance itself allows you to see these majestic animals close by.
Handlers are very informative and animals are stunning. Great place. Take a hat and sunscreen
Enjoyed the experience of being with the cheetah
You pay more to be with it
Very basic but they seem to be doing ok. Just wonder why some of the animals like the dogs are here. It makes it more like a zoo of unnecessary captivity. Although it is good to see these animals, it just seems a pity
Beautiful, caring facility. Very mindful of the animals.
Its a great place for the kids and very educational.
Too bad to see the animals, they look like bad care.
If you want to pet a drugged up cheetah then it is okay!
We had the cub experience and whilst it was very educational and fun to do there was very little else on offer. Also the girl on reception needs educating as to what you actually offer. She advised us incorrectly and we would've spent more time and money if she knew what she was talking about.
Definitely go though, as it really helps to spread the word about the plight of cheetahs in SA.
With the family to discover and help the local fauna
The place was underwhelming. We had to wait for almost 3 hours to rum the cheetah's back for 30 seconds. Plus they sell a Tin Tin book with a blatantly racist caricature of a black boy.
What a rip off. I know more about cheetahs than any of the guides
Will never recommend it.
Good initiative but not the best interaction in my opinion as you have to walk in along the fence, quietly and around the back of a sleeping cheetah and stoke it whilst it's sleeping. Not much of an experience. Not very big enclosures either. Very protective of the cheetahs which is fair enough I guess but still nothing like seeing them in the wild.
These guys are doing great work with these beautiful cats.
Awesome experience, will recommend anyone to check it out and support those beautiful animals.
Great experience go and learn something. This organization trying to savevthe Cheatah in the wild by educating tourists and locals.
Tourguides were excellent with large group of students and a educational insight in reservation of the cheetah.
A nice place with a good cause. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The cheetah encounter is short and sweet but this is better for the animals! They really take good care of the animals hete
A great cause and program which not onlt includes rehabilitation and care but also programs to help cheetahs in the wild. Well maintained facility and the staff was knowledgable.
Amazing half-day trip! Work this outreach center does is amazing- ask them about their Anatolian dogs, it's actually about them, not the cheetahs directly :) very interesting. Volunteers from all over the world help out and that's great to see. Some can be a bit clumsy however, and mix up which encounter you've paid for, or where to go, where to wait or who to ask... seems communication between staff isn't very good. Overall I loved it! Great work and the encounters are lovely, if the animals are willing to meet you :)
Well run. Enthusiastic guides and great for a quick visit.
Exciting place to visit although we had to pay to touch the cheetahs.
Great place! Really the most exciting thing you can do here is touch a cheetah. Which is super nice and neat, but it is a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Experience the sweet spirit of the tigers
But very few can only 2 to 3.
And there are other animals.
The entry price is nominal only 5 rand.
Great place, very cheap and more animals to see than what i expected! Great coffee too!
A bit dissapoimting. Very few animals and very little to see
The animals are beautiful but it would be good to spend more time. You must pay for each species separately.
The staff seem dedicated to looking after these animals, very reasonable entrance fee, Enjoyed the stroll around and getting close to these wonderful animals.
Amazing experience, really friendly staff/volunteers. Absolutely loved it
What a informative and well spent Saturday afternoon. Entrance fee is R5 and we opted for free tour. We first watch a video and then proceeded outside with our guide. The tour is about an hour long and they have personal encounters also...10/10 for the staff as you can see everybody there is dedicated to helping this animals. We were greeted by each and every staff member as they were busy doing there daily routines. There is a gift shop and even an ATM on premises with a cafe...My children were informed and entertained and enjoyed themselves.
The people were very nice with the children. They were over the moon when they could have a close encounter with the cheetah.
A lovely educational experience. A pity that you can not walk in between the cheetah cages. No play area for children and limited activities
A place where so much good work is done for conservation. Basic entry is R5. You can also have encounters with cheetah at an additional cost. Really worth the visit
Nice but you get to pet the cheetah for less than a min, ticket price is to help save the cheetahs
Areas are well kept and clean.Entrance is a nominal fee of R10 per person each for walkabouts and R140 per person for encounters. There is a viewing deck overlooking the compounds affording some photo opportunities as well. There are other animals as well like jackals,a caracul cat and bat eared foxes.Enclosures are clearly marked with the animal's information and are well kept and clean. There is also ample parking available outside the entrance
Amazing variety of animals. Opportunity to spend close up time with Cheetah cubs and adults. Not expensive. Great coffee bar outside. Not a place for small children.
A bit far from the city but it is a beautiful drive. You can take a picture with an adult cheetah or with Cubs. You can bring your child too! You can check out Monkeys town nearby so you have a full day of adventures.
Locals teaching you about the Beautiful Cheetahs and what they are doing there to help and rehabilitate them. The Bonus is being able to touch them and come up close!!! Amazing!!
Fantastic programme. They do so much good and have great facilities. It's wonderful being able to experience wildlife knowing that there is no hidden agenda. The staff are wonderful!
Wonderful place to see wildlife that is so well taken care of.
Great place to pet cheetahs, cheetah conservation site.
Good to see so many people care about these previously injured or abandoned animals. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All the game rangers work there voluntarily. It's clear to see they love what they do and are very informative and helpful.
It's hartwarming and comforting to know that rehabilitation centres like the cheetah outreach exist.
I saw mostly foreigners there.
South Africans should put in some effort to go see these animals. Besides entrance is FREE!
We made this a stop before touring wineries in the area. It was a perfect way to learn about some local wildlife and a fantastic cause to be supporting.
The staff were all very well versed in facts about the animals. They treat their animals with such respect. It was reassuring to see that care of the animals was most important, not using the animals to impress tourists. Definitely a must see.
Worth the visit. They need the support for the beautiful animals.
What a beautiful experience. Its great that there are people doing such good in the world. Keep it up!!
What a great project ! Never met more caring and dedicated people ! Their love for animals knows no bounds !
An amazing place doing amazing work. Well worth visiting
We enjoyed it, the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because we were not informed of the griund tours when we bought our tickets for the cheetah encounters, things seemed unorganized and hurried at the front of house. The sanctuary itself was in good form with good information signs about each individual animal. The animals all looked healthy and the tour guides was well informed and could answer all our questions.
Informative. Small and quick to get around. Cheetahs are beautiful
Great objective, lovely staff, great experience all round.
Very informative and knowledgeable tour guide. Saw caracals, jackals, cheetahs and other animals.
Dawn and her team takes great care to assist with info and care for all wild creatures!
If you want To tuch a cheetah or other animals that is the right place
Great place to experience a cheetah. The staff is knowledgeable and will help with all questions.
it was a very lovely place to visit , the people are very friendly .
Very poor show. So disappointed, we saw 1 cheetah which my family paid R150 each to have their photographs taken together. Less that 2 minutes and taken into the enclosure with another family .This ADULTCheetah was18 months old. Far superior when it was at Spier. Don't bother visiting
As far as captive animal experiences are concerned this one appears to have fair motive and reasoning.... definitely worth a visit
The place does what it says on the tin.
A star deduction, because really all animals do not live in large enclosures and were very sleepy when you were allowed into the enclosure.
Entry is super cheap. The park only earns when you pay to pet a cheetah.
