A lovely initiative... I believe in preserving animals and this place is doing great. The cheetah encounter was also amazing (i mean how many people can say they got to be that close to a wild cat?)

It's got some great animals to see (not to many - about 15-20) that makes for a nice, short (and inexpensive) visit if you're not paying to touch the animals. The various encounters you can pay for are quite expensive but then you can touch a cheetah, bat-eared fox and other animals.

Guys this is a tourist trap, you can clearly see the Local Guides support this place full on, but to be honest, you pay a lot for a few strokes of the animal and thats about it.

But the people are friendly, very informative and very knowledgeable. BUT this is a business in the end, therefore its no surprise they try to make as much money as possible without causing problems to the animal welfare people.

Good luck

It was an educational place. We each paid R160 for an adult encounter but was disappointed that the encounter was only for shorter than 15 minutes. The advertisement was a bit misleading. Encounter from 10:00 to 1:00 pm made people falsely think that the encounter will be for 3 hours but in fact, it is within those three hours, you can have encounters each of only 15 mins. I understand that animals need privacy and that we shouldn t invade in their personal space but then the price still doesn t reflect the value from the experience.

A bit of a wait to get in with only one lady handling the entrance fee and fielding questions, particularly being peak visiting season. Would recommend a prominent display at the main door with pricing which would enable those waiting in the queue to make up their mind before getting to the reception desk, thereby avoid delays from visitors trying to decide on their options.
Highlight the animal activity times i.e. at a low midday in summer season. For a good cause and trust the revenue will be put to good use.
Pleasant day trip and the children enjoyed the cub interaction.

You can encounter various animals ans especially cheetahs here. All money made goes to saving Cheetahs in South Africa. Only voulanteers work here and they are happy to explain interesting details about the animals.

An unforgettable experience with cheetahs that aren't being exploited or doing anything they're uncomfortable with. The centre offers a range of various experiences at very good prices, the highlight being the cheetah encounter, which allows you to spend a few minutes and pet the cheetahs in the enclosure. They have a photographer too but if you dont want to buy the pictures the staff are happy to take some on your phone. It was fun afterwards to look at the other animals that live in the centre which include meerkats and tortoises.

Our kids did a meerkat experience, which was amazing for them. The handlers were excellent and I liked that it was left up to the meerkat to go to them. It was certainly not forced, and it took to my son very easily. Super gentle animal. The facility itself is not large, so if you don't do any of the extra activities, you may only spend a half hour there. The animal areas looked well kept and had plenty of shade and housing for them to hide away. Deducted a star as I felt that you didn't get a good idea of what they did the unless you had a personal guide to show you around. I think they should have a tour that starts every half hour that people could join before or after exploring on their own. And if that is available now, the info was not visible as far as we could tell.

The animals needs are put first in this amazing sanctuary. So no forced encounters of any kind. I loved the place so much, I went twice during my stay. Everyone that works there truly loves the animals! It s a wonderful place!

Leopards are difficult to raise. At present, they are only 10 in size. There are other medium-sized animals such as the Bobcats. Some of them know that they are giving up. This training uses artificial feed to avoid wildness. They also try to train them to obey. Food is learning

Great experience, great conservation work. I really enjoyed the encounter, the Cheetah purred the whole time and looked very happy, thank you for letting me meet him. I very wonderful way to protect the wild living population

Arrived on a public holiday, a huge amount required to be close to the cheetah, then did the casual walk through. Was so unfair that the staff kept the cheetahs at the furthest points of the enclosure and could not even see one. Extremely biased if you ask me. I understand they have to make enough money to look after the cheetahs, but at least give joe public a sporting chance to viewthe cheetahs.

Neat place, but fairly small. Tours are supposedly available on the 30 of every hour, but often the guides are busy hosting encounters, so they don't do them. We didn't feel right about petting cheetahs (yes, these are all breeder on site, but...), so opted for just entry and a tour but no one was available. Without explanations, it's 20-30m max there.
