Cute place, although it wasn't busy, I had to get the attention of their one & only server to give me a table for 1. There were only 2 other tables occupied at the time. Food & service was ok. Presentation of food was interesting. Happy hour 5-7p prices were tempting.

Unfortunately I don't recommend this restaurant! Wait for food was not acceptable after complain nobody really care to apologize or explain anything.
Very poor service. We will not come back and suggest everybody to find different Thai restaurant.

The service was good. The appetizer was nice- above average. The young ginger chicken was delicious. If you don't like spicy, let them know. Even the mild had a sturdy kick to it. Loved it. The sticky rice with mango was pretty much amazing.

There is something unique inside this place. The food is creative. You can tell the food is made by someone that truly loves food. The ingredients is fresh. The selection & presentation are very nice. You can tell a lot of thoughts went into this. My favorite are Pad Thai Shrimp and Pad See Ew Chicken (picture). Love the way chef stir-fry noodles. The best Thai food in town. Highly recommend.

Excellent place, good food, warm and friendly staff. The ambience is nice, with light acoustic music playing in the background. There is a also a nice fountain in the middle which adds to the sensory pleasure.

Went for SD Restaurant week and really enjoyed the green curry - insanely full of flavor and spicy like curry should be! Also tried the lamb stir-fry, which was a little tough but lamb tends to be. King triangles were also delicious and I highly recommend them as an appetizer or side. The desert options left something to be desired, but it was a good experience overall and I'd recommend it.

Mediocre overall, with many dishes being different for the sake of being different, but mostly not for the better. Pad-see-ew and pad-tai average. Calamari was disappointing with a piece tasting fishy and the next one not, bbq chicken was OK. The place is clean.

Food is consistently FANTASTIC here. I haven't tried anything I haven't liked and I have been for both lunch and dinner. They do a wonderful job with all of their dishes and truly take pride in the quality of their food. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Thai Crispy Calamari isthe most popular appetizer which is also in Happy Hour menu for $4 and
Pork Chop is awesome! Available in $10 Weekday lunch along with 2 appetizers

My suggestion for fresher to try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Delicious Thai dinner...even tastier than food in Thailand..coconut soup is outstanding...as is panang...reasonably priced...lovely atmosphere...check out happy hour with $5 appetizers and $5 wines...a real bargain...especially for La Jolla...highly recommended!

Atmosphere could be cool. We got up and left after waiting for several minutes for drink s to even be offered. DID I MENTION IT WAS A FRIDAY NIGHT AND WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE PLACE... service was poor at best.

I was very disappointed with my experience. I had to wait for 45 mins for my order! Meanwhile, A group of men, who ordered after me, got their food first. Now, how in the heck did my food take longer than 3 mens.. I order yellow curry, rice, and spring rolls.. That shouldn't have take 45 mins to make. Once I actually tried the food, it was way too salty. Not worth my time. I most definitely will not be coming back. #disappointed

We went in this place in August first week and were disappointed with the service and food. There was this one male waiter who didn't understand a thing in english and got my daughter the wrong dish. On top of he was RUDE and didn't bother smile or even fill glass of water. I gave 2 stars only because the male waiter was replaced by another sweet lady who understood us and finally got us the right dish.Overall food is BELOW AVERAGE and need to give some CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SERVICE TO THE MALE WAITER

My first experience was this past Tuesday. All the other Thai restaurants were closed so our group decided to give place a shot. Surprisingly, their menu awesome. They have a great lunch special for 10 dollars. This includes two appetizers and your main dish. I'm glad we came here for lunch as this was a good deal for the amount of food provided.

These Drunken Noodles DO NOT TASTE like Drunken Noodles...it's the worst thing I've ever tasted. There's no taste of chili, the sauce tastes more like a mix of fish sauce/soy sauce and tomato and they decided to call it "Drunken Noodles".

This honestly tastes like Filipino pancit...if I didn't order this off of Postmates and I was actually in the restaurant, I'd ask to take it back and order something else. This was not worth $14, more or less the $30 I had to grossly pay for this terrible dish to be delivered to me since I just got released from the emergency room and can t drive.

If you're going for quality, taste, & authenticity, look anywhere else and NOT Chedi Thai Bistro.

The food was decent but not preferable to spice&rice down the way.
They DO however put valiant effort into their decor.

Here's the problem: I don't really go out for Thai food on dates and if I'm not on a date I can opt for better taste better value and zero romance! (Sab-E-Lee!!!!) And so, Chedi does not land on my list of places to return.

Cozy

Thai food is tricky...there is such a range of quality and price. Here the prices were on the high side of average and the food was on the low side of average. Too much sugar is usually the downfall in a Thai place. I'd like to see the quality go up a little and the prices come down a little.

My GF and I decided to eat here for restaurant week! It was amazing. The food is tasty and the establishment is fancy and clean! I recommend if you are at La Jolla to come to this restaurant and eat wonderful Thai food! Awesomeness!!

Good food, a little pricey but okay as this was in La Jolla. The vegan options with mock meat were really tasty. Lots of variety to choose from. Nice ambience and not too crowded on a weekend.

Spring rolls and short ribs were fantastic. The panang and pad Thai were average, squid mango salad wasn't phenomenal. perhaps a little expensive for what's being served but a very nice atmosphere nonetheless. All in all a good experience.

Visited 7/26/18 for dinner at 7 pm. Arrived and awkwardly waited in the front of the restuarant, no one seemed to notice us. Finally the waitress asked how many of us (5) and had to think about what to do next. Then a person we came to find out was the chef, came out behind the waitress and asked us again how many there were, all very confusing. Finally sat us and didn't come back for another 5 minutes. Meanwhile, there was a table of 4 women behind us who seemed to get all of the waitresses attention, the chef even made a few trips out to talk to them and serve their food personally. As near as I could tell the waitress was the only one working the entire restaurant . There were only about 10 people total in the restaurant when we were there, but it took the waitress a long time to run between the tables and finally get to where she could take our order. The food came relatively quickly, maybe 10 minutes . But the food was not worthy of the price. Only three fried wantons, served warm but not hot. Chewy shrimp (with cashews), duck was stringy and greasy, no hint of Jasmine in the jasmine rice. Asked for their "three star spicy", came out and was the same spicy level as my wife's mild "one star". I watched another couple come in and go through the same experience we did, waiting at the front door to be noticed, then being seated and the server never coming back. After about 5 minutes the couple quietly got up and left without ordering. Meanwhile, the table with the four women, who clearly knew the chef/owner, got all of the attention of the waitress and occasionally the chef too. Finally, I was waiting to pay the check but the waitress had not been around for some time, so I walked to the front desk and stood waiting to pay. The waitress saw me standing there and came up and said "I everything okay?", I just commented that I would like to pay for my meal and she seemed surprised but committed to go get my bill. Every member of my family had something negative to say about their meal. I can see now why there were only 10 people in the restaurant at 7 PM. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for first class thai food.

The atmosphere and location of this restaurant are great. My friends all enjoyed their meals, but my meal was so salty I could hardly eat it. I expect crab legs to be salty, but it was too much. Maybe the problem was that it was Restaurant Week in San Diego, and they were trying something new, but it just didn't work. It is unlikely that I will go back.

My husband and I decided to grab some Thai food and we are so happy to have tried Chedi. The food was very good and our waiter was so attentive and friendly! Our food came out hot and fast, seriously no complaints. The hours are wrong as they open for dinner at 5pm so beware but man happy hour was great with $4 appetizers. A+++

The Thai restaurant was very good. The pod Thai with shrimp was about $15 and well worth it. We also had the red curry with duck and coconut milk. I think it's the best I've ever had. Thanks so much to the staff there.
