Okay, local neighborhood diner with some local options. The place is quiet and allows for a nice business setting! I was there and enjoyed a burger and ribeye sandwhich that didn't break the wallet. Beer & spirits available!

It is exactly as I remembered. The fish sandwiches are a lot more expensive at a price point of $10.00. The service was a little slow, but we were sitting outside and had to deal with unreal number of flies.

I like this local neighborhood bar. We went for their fish and was not disappointed in the food at all. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place just for people who want to have a drink or two or a meal

Went here because it was recommended to me. I got a Reuben and coleslaw. It was delicious and they got the food out fast so its great for when i'm on my lunch break. Will definitely be back.

Menus are not readily available. You order at a tiny bar where you are partially ignored due to other employees talking to each other. Hopefully you don't have any questions because you will be rushed away and maybe get your answer. If you want coffee after dinner you will not get it here. Doubt I will be back or recommend it.

I enjoyed the food and the environment it's a great place to eat the only thing that I have to complain about is I don't care for the table being cleared before everyone else is finished I was finished with my mule and my companion was not and they took my plate before she was done I prefer having everyone have their plate in front of them until everyone is finished eating

Checks is a staple of the Louisvillian experience. I remember eating there with my grandparents, and now I take my niece and nephew. Checks has something for EVERYONE, served with the love of family.

My wife & I have been once & it was karaoke all night. We didn't participate, but the couple we were with did. You put your name & song in with the DJ & wait for your turn. It was very crowed that night but everyone was still very friendly. That particular night it was mainly an older crowd with a few younger folks mixed in. Still, we had fun. Lots of people dancing with every song. Thought the burger plates were a bit overpriced but they were pretty good. However, the wings tasted like they were cooked then dunked in bbq sauce before serving. Regardless, we will still do it again.

This is a gem tucked into the heart of Germantown and it is chalk full of Germantown flare. The staff is warm and welcoming into their stories establishment. The food is fresh and comforting. With a wide selection of options you can never go wrong with the daily special! It is fast, big and always good. Be it a stop in for a spot of lunch or a quick bite before a game, you can never go wrong with Checks! Have a pint while you are waiting and chat up the friendly staff to know all the goings and comings of the area. They are a wealth of knowledge.

I recently went to this place and was actually surprised by how good the food was! Customer service was great as well. This place is popular with the locals so you see the same people almost every time you go. I usually get a dressed cheese More

When I first moved to Louisville I loved the food here. Now it's just alright. I don't know if they changed recipes or their cook or whatever, but it hasn't been the same in a while. Regardless, it's still perfectly good food, I just long for the good old days. And if you've never been to Louisville, you have to visit just for the experience.
