I used to love Charlie Brown's but the manager is horrible, confrontational, and rude if you can even get his attention. We asked to speak to the manager after our waitress started yelling at someone in my group, over my back, while dripping the contents of a glass on me. She then had the audacity to say it was my fault for choosing the seat I was in. (After loudly bragging about being drunk while working.) On the way out, she and the manager were on the back patio smoking and loudly joking about the encounter. These people are trash human beings and make a formerly great establishment look awful.

I've worked in the service industry for 15 years and I have never seen anything like this. Keep in mind, she started yelling at my companion AFTER he had tipped more than 20%.

Disgusting behavior and absolutely the worst example of customer service.

Listen, you want a local, no frills, classic jazz bar...here ya go! Charlie Browns has been maintained very well over the years. The tables and chairs are reminiscent of an old cigar lounge and the drinks are consistently good. Great place to listen to some live piano music!

Large menu with a lot of options for everyone. I had the Charlie Brown's mojito and it was amazing! We were hoping to take part in the actual piano bar part of the restaurant, but it seemed like you had to get sit in that section. I gave 4 stars because we didn't get to experience the piano bar at all. Also, the patio was reserved for a wedding party, but they never showed up.

Wonderful place to eat. It was hot outside, so their misting system was quite affective.

Aside from that, their waiters/waitresses were phenomenal. The bathrooms were clean, the beers were chilled. Like...actually chilled. Above all, the atmosphere was amazing.

The only complaint I have is that sometimes the service is slow. Although when that service gets to you its usually pretty good.

Other than that, the food is amazing, great atmosphere, its a little pricey (I am a cheap college grad so I am 100% biased here.) AND you get a $30 bar tab on your birthday!!!

Will definitely be going back here again :)

Barely crossed the threshold when the smell of cigars/cigarettes made it impossible for me to dine here...it's a shame because I have been here before and enjoyed my meals inside, smoke -free.

Great atmosphere. Some bar flies around pianist though. Some wannabe"s and never was try to hang around night after night. You'll know quick whether its going to be a goodnight or not at the place.

The bar/resturant has been Charlie Browns since the early 1960's. It is rich with celebrity history from writers to actors. Come and enjoy the older style ambiance with tasty, filling meals. Tonight we enjoyed the French dip and the chicken, bacon wrap. Delicious. The staff is friendly and the service is timely. Enjoy!

Such a VERY cute and welcoming place! Great neighborhood, too! We sat o the outdoor, covered patio and had a VERY relaxing and DELICIOUS dinner, appetizers and desserts for 4 and it was surprisingly affordable! The service was PERFECT! The food was excellent! My grandsons recommended it and I am so glad they did! I highly recommend Charlie Brown's!

Great service and friendly staff. I order a moscow mule and the ginger beer was awful and the lime was rotten... :( the chicken wings were disgusting, the buffalo sauce was pure catchup. The chairs were comfirtable but full of cigarette burns. This is definitely a smoker friendly place. The piano bar and historical value amazing.

I will preface this with the fact that I make drinks for a living. I am giving this a 1 because there aren't many on here. I have been to Charlie Brown's many times and have always been ok with the mediocre service and all around old bar vibes. But I have had a few bad experiences that constitute the 1...

Last night I was rushing to meet some friends and cut my nose shaving. The first thing the bartender said was "ok, whats the deal with the bloody nose." Pretty understandable thing to ask. I explained, he didn't listen too well and to my conclusion took it that I was in a fight or something. I asked him if happy hour was still going on. He said yes, so I ordered a white russian, and then a gin and ginger for my lady. When I was surprised that i only got one white russian instead of two and the bill was actually 3 dollars more than expected, he explained that it is hard for him to hear me with that f***ing tissue in my nose and I should speak up. I paid the bill and didn't leave a tip. He implied that we should sit somewhere else which we were about to do anyways. As I walked away he said thanks. And then "NO REALLY, THANKS BUDDY!" We had a seat with friends who were drinking up the bar for a friends birthday and found that our gin and ginger probably had about a 1/4 of a shot in it. I took it back and said, "hey man, this is weak." He replied, "You know what is weak...your f***ing tip."

This is the first time since high school that I haven't tipped a bartender. This is the first google review I have ever given. Yes, people can be difficult, but please don't be prejudice to someone who is potentially hurt. I am sure he was having a bad night took it out on me. Either way. I thought this story was worth sharing and also pretty hilarious.

Charlie Brown's, you should find some better people, you are better than this dude. I've worked in the irishist of bars with bartenders that had tempers that would destroy this childish man, but they would never treat someone unkind because he had a bloody nose.

Great place. Spent my Birthday there and plan to do it again here shortly. Gave me $30 in free drinks. Had about 10 people join me and service was above and beyond. Hope to enjoy it again sooon.

Charlie Browns is a great place to hang out. It's a piano bar, with singing along expected, so it can be loud in the evenings. There's a lot of variety on the food menu (burgers, pizza, steak, bar food, some tex mex), all of which is pretty good. Drinks are generally pretty good, if a little lacking in variety on beers. I highly reccomend Charlie Brown's for a fun night out, just not for a quiet one.

Absolutely rudest staff ever! Very unprofessional as well. The worst bar I've been to in the area. Drinks were terrible, half the heaters outside aren't working. Staff was overheard saying awful things about the people I was with, even flipping one of them off!

Better drinks can be found elsewhere. Example: Good cheap drinks and music with a younger crowd- Lincoln station. Karaoke- with Mexican food armidas. Good food with darts and a smokers outdoor rooftop- the fainting goat. Sports bar- stoneys. Mediterranean food- melitas. All these places have a smokers patio and does what Charlie browns does better.

This place is just like I remembered! Went for lunch with some clients and had a patty melt and some drinks. Best patty melt I have had in a while. Greasy just like I like it. We used to come to Charlie Brown's in college and hang out. Great memories. Real Denver peeps always seem to come to this place. Glad to see it still has the piano, tons of food and great prices. I wish I lived closer!

I hadn't been here for 20+ years and was surprised at how polished and updated it was yet still had a classic and historic feeling about it.

We arrived at 10pm on a Saturday and there was no wait, but the place filled up in the next hour. Or server hustled and never stopped smiling. The sing-along was at a fever pitch by the time we left, after midnight.

I can't imagine going here and not having a great time. Comfortable, easy and fully entertaining.

LIVE SING-A-LONG PIANO 7 NIGHTS A WEEK.

LIVE SING-A-LONG PIANO 7 NIGHTS A WEEK.
Free Friday night pig roast in summer season and Free Friday night chicken wings any other season. Happy Hour 4:30-630 and 10:30-12:30. Food in the late night hours is risky. Otherwise their menu is expansive and delicious. Service is sub-par but the atmosphere makes up for it. Recommended for locals and tourists alike.

AMAZING atmosphere and fun live piano sing alongs! I tried the appetizer sampler with a Gyro and Souvlaki plate. The appetizer platter was not worth the price. It felt like something I could have made at home with generic freezer ingredients, but the souvlaki was wonderful! Their Happy Hour offers a 2-for-1 you call it for your first drink so it's a great place to go for an after-work coworker meet-up. The patio is covered and allows smoking. They have an old cigarette machine that sells American Spirits at a solid $7 a pack so that is a definite plus!

We had Friday dinner at Charlie Brown's and arrived early, so we got right in. The service was good, and the servers were professional and polite, although we had to ask for napkins and cutlery after our bread had been delivered to the table.

My partner liked his food better than I did mine. For me, flavors were unexpected and a little off. Drinks were cheap, but weak. The water tasted a little metallic.

Charlie Brown's is a piano bar, so I was anticipating a quieter experience. I loved yelling at people in a bar when I was 25, but not so much these days. Expect to smell smoke from the outdoor patio when you arrive.
