We have been waiting in the emergency room for 8 hours, when we asked how long it will take, other patients who have been waiting for 14 hours also wanted to know then the question was superfluous. Very unfriendly and incompetent staff. Even a star is too much of a good thing.

I saw some review about long waiting time before I went there, I was a little bit worried and even brought my laptop there...Surprisingly it was pretty fast, I just waited about 10 -15 min and then the staff call me in. They were also very friendly. The doctor was also one of the best doctor I've ever met. Very professional and patient. The best hospital in germany. Actually the only hospital I went in Germany.

Something massive medicine, it seems to me. Some call it so, others so. But the area is very beautiful and has a lively historical development behind it. Important doctors such as Virchow, Koch, Behring, Sauerbruch and others have worked here and made significant progress in medicine. The new high-rise building was overdue, the old one was already ailing.

I was in neurology for 1 night. I arrived in the middle of the night and the welcome was very fine. Doctors and al the staff were kind, available, friendly and they really try to create a nice athmosphere. They seems all happy to switch in english and that enjoyed me a lot. I definitively recommend this hospital, in particular if you are looking for english speaker doctors.

The doctors, staff and nurses treated me very kindly and looked after me. The operation was very successful. Despite the lack of staff, everyone was very friendly and humane with me. Thanks a lot for this!

The sleep laboratory is crap 10. After I got an appointment to pick up a sleep control device and waited 3 months to pick it up, I would be canceled the day before and should report to another department where I can only go if I can nothing chronic or with the heart, which was explained to me after 2 weeks and thus dozens of attempts to call. When I call the previous department, nothing is responded to and I hear private conversations between other patents and doctors or something and when I was supposed to answer it was simply hung up. The next time I tried, I was dressed up after I gave criticism and was put on again. So I can advise against the sleep laboratory from the staff.

If this is not possible at all, they have had to wait 12 (!) Hours in the emergency room, whereby the sick person has already been admitted with an RTW.

There is absolute chaos in the waiting rooms, starting with homeless people who are constantly squatting people without having to tell the gentlemen that after the treatment you can possibly go ...
Followed by the ignorance of how many patients are coming to you or what the next steps are.
All in all really not really suitable for "quick" help ....

However, there is a star plus, because if you ever catch a specialist (this happens every 4 to 6 hours), he is fit and friendly.

Never go to the emergency room here unless you're literally dying.... otherwise you will be sent on an endless bureaucratic loop from office to office until you feel that you actually need to be hospitalized for sheer frustration at the rude and incompetent staff!

I was admitted because my friend called the ambulance. Then I woke up in the hospital corridor. Had no glasses on (at -8,5dpt on both eyes) could not see anything and was confused. In the hospital, the ambulance help only meant: "Do not be so girl come awake."
My friend was told to pick me up in the morning next day.
However, I was driven home after a few hours with the ambulance service Barefoot with a thin T-shirt and a short pants at a felt 6 degrees.
Above all, it is not usual to dismiss a suicide attempt according to my family doctor.

One of the best boss doctor in the world.
I could not speak anymore.
With a few small operations, I can talk and sing well again.
A great team.
Thank you Nawka

Underpaid and overwhelmed. Without the permission of the patients, students are used for the conduct of operations. My girlfriend casually noticed and denied the operation when she heard the conversation of the Amenstress doctors!

Worst Worst Worst Hospital Ever...

Worst Worst Worst Hospital Ever...
I am working in an company so can't go to normal clinics in weekdays, I had Severe cough and many time had blood in it so I went to the emergency.
The person(calling him doctor is an insult to the profession) in emergency room was so rude and racist.
The worst thing though, he mentioned that I should come to a hospital only if I womit 3 liters of blood.
Seriously, should he call himself a doctor?
He straight away told he won't speak in english and I should learn German language before coming to a German hospital.
There was patients in waiting area for atleast 4-5 hrs just waiting to get diagonosed for normal health issues.
I would suggest to not visit this hospital especially for non-EU citizens.

I needed pediatric first aid for my daughter. The service was excellent both from a medical and human point of view. After an hour there were already blood results. The doctors all worked to communicate with me in English simply and patiently and I was able to understand the clinical situation perfectly. The environment helps the patients a lot, all the doctors are smiling, the hospital is welcoming with play areas that remind the little gardens.

I do not give this so called "Hospital" a star as there is not a zero as an option. Personnel's, nurses and doctor are the rudest people in Europe. They watched too many documentaries of WWII. This " Charite dump consortion" could take lessons of German cars salesmen to improve their image and public relations between patients and "professionals. My nurse took blood from my arm without a rubber glove, using a large needle, hardly seen any more in modern hospitals and to top it off the nurse started yelling because I moved my arm and blood was all over the table in contact with unprotected surfaces. Should have enquires of victims in NETFLIX. Shame on directors, shame administrative personnel, shame on nurses and shame on doctors.

Nobody forces the med. Personnel to take up the profession of doctor. Keep your eyes open when choosing a career!

As a relative of a seriously ill patient, I was treated as underground as the patient herself. Empathy and competence towards the patient was zero. (I worked in the health sector myself for years and know the processes).

My relatives and I will no longer enter this house anyway. Fortunately, we know where we can go in an EMERGENCY to receive professional treatment.

I cannot confirm one point of criticism. With a pronounced hospital phobia, it was the most important thing for me to have the best and strongest medical team for my little son in the back. Last Friday it was time, with strong, regular contractions, we arrived in the clinic with bags and packs, where we were immediately welcomed in a friendly, relaxed and full manner. We could move into our delivery room within 20 minutes and got a midwife at our side. The doctors on duty also introduced themselves. 4.5 hours later I had my completely natural baby (no drip, no PDA) on my chest. We had decided on the outpatient admission and were therefore allowed to enjoy our family happiness in the delivery room for a few hours before we were allowed to go home together after all medical examinations. Only to be recommended to all expectant parents.

Just bad compared to other hospitals in Berlin. In particular, Mr. Polzin should rather not be let go of the patients - competence in dealing with patients and relatives is more than underground.

You should first think about which profession you want to do. Because obviously the lady who examined me during the emergency room at night didn't feel like looking after me. I have never been handled like this by a doctor, even though I was the only patient and the last one was probably an hour earlier.
Not just that she spoke to me in a PATHY tone. I was also made aware of why I do not come for it during the day ???
Hello because I have complaints now!?!
Next time I will wait until the general practitioners open on Mondays.

Medicine is on top anyway. One of the largest university clinics in Europe is very interesting both as the oldest Berlin hospital, historically and structurally, and in terms of medical fixtures. Like a small town with its own street name. Modern meets old substance (where there is still much to be done).

I will not write anything about the quality of services of those places that are located on the territory of this complex. My review is about the general impression of architecture, appearance and emotions that all this things caused in me. Charite is a clinical complex located in four districts of Berlin, and I was at one that is near the railway station by the river Spree: A very large fenced area on the territory of which there are many old buildings of different orientations. These are just hospitals, and buildings of individual medical specialties with laboratories, and administrative building, and, as I understand, there is a university is here too. All buildings are with beautiful old architecture. Sometimes quiet quickie work was encountered, such as the ugly painting of some walls, after which the color difference looked ridiculous. But overall, the complex left a very pleasant aesthetic impression.

I came from Spain for a preliminary examination for the knee prosthesis surgery. The senior doctor was very competent and friendly. The diagnosis was the same as in Spain. It has to be operated on. I'll be back in Berlin for an operation in just 1.5 weeks. So far, I can highly recommend the clinic.

I have been undergoing 4 weeks of gastro-enterology and another 4 weeks of nephrology since mid-2015. I have been treated, treated, cared for and finally cured. I am nevertheless invited to the aftercare at regular intervals. For me, there is no clinic that deals with patients in a more sensitive, responsible and competent way. this applies from the learning sisters and nurses to the senior physician. By the way: I AM NOT A PRIVATE PATIENT !!!

No communication between patient and doctor. No agreement for subsequent treatment. Mrt-Cd was sent "already" after 14 days on request. I did not have a medical letter after 1 month stay. But the bill was available in time. All in all. The potential exists, but is implemented bumbling.

This happened several years ago. In the ER, they couldn't figure out that I had an appendicitis. I waited for over 5hr and was send home. They made me feel like I was wasting their time. The person in registration actually told me that my condition is not serious and that I should shut up and wait. Thank god I went to a different hospital where they were able to diagnose and treat my critical condition.

Unacceptable. Producing a report on the pollutant burden for the provincial government of Berlin, despite repeated indications of incomparable report conditions. The leader also suggests that the elected representative of Berlin has a lack of causality, even though the real threat context could not be investigated for ethical reasons. Anything but serious.

My daughter should come to the birth initiation. Thank goodness they start blowing themselves. Waiting for a bed for hours. Very unfriendly midwives do not understand the pain of a woman who is expecting her first child. We were left alone. And just ignored us until my collar burst. Then there was a delivery room for her. So definitely not again.

Foreigners beware! Was taken by ambulance after an accident to charite, was not my choice. The administration people barely speak English and pushed me to pre-pay for the tratement as the only option without checking with my travel insurance or presenting other possible options.
Medical staff is excellent with the exception of a couple of very rude nurses (the old German ladies).
The low stars thus only because of the admin staff who definitely could have better informed me about procedures and pricing in Germany.

The doctors and nurses in the emergency room and floor 114B seem to be competent and are very nice. The atmosphere is very good. The rooms are modern, with internet and TV. One cannot say this from part 113B: unfriendly and cold. TV defective, internet messing around, toilet flushing only works if you know trick 17. Otherwise: The food is sometimes a disaster.

I had an appointment at 10:30 and was made to wait for 4 hours without notification. Just as with other German institutions you will find some people that do not treat foreigners well and do not respect their time. The quality of the doctors, the facilities, and after operation care was world class. However, we all paying patients and we should be treated equally and fairly. Thoroughly disappointed.

Choosing this hospital is waiting for death.

Choosing this hospital is waiting for death.
From early in the morning to the afternoon, I put a tube in my hand and waited for the doctor. There was no way to eat breakfast and lunch, and I was hungry and sick! What's more, it's already uncomfortable, it's torture!

Different information about the course of the operation was given. Documents disappeared before the operation. The only thing that was really great were the nurses there !!!!!

The nursing staff is friendly, but the resident doctors don't want to get their 'fingers' dirty, I had the impression. Of course, this only disturbs the patient. I got to know very unfriendly, annoyed and unmotivated doctors here and for this reason I will prefer every other hospital to this facility. Perhaps the budding assistant doctors should consider switching to research if empathy tends towards social decompensation.

Nursing staff very good! But unfortunately they don't make the announcements. Resident physician with ZERO (professional and social) competence made a diagnosis that was (and still is) completely absurd.
A senior doctor who was never present did not question anything.
