This morning after several attempts to get an orthopedic surgeon for my husband. Gone there. Although it was a short waiting time, although he was in immense pain, he was only given pain relief and was sent to an orthopedic surgeon. No sick leave and referral. Nothing at all. Thanks for nothing !!! My solidarity with the staff there is now zero !!!! (In retrospect it turned out to be a slight herniated disc and the painkillers were clearly overdosed)

The ER was like a terrible sitcom.

The ER was like a terrible sitcom.
The nurse was stuffing her face with pretzels and playing with her nose ring while people needed help.

When people tried talking to her she was ice-cold and kept shoving pretzels into her already-full mouth.

If you take a closer look at the Charite and the undoubtedly excellent services the whole picture with the many hidden conflicts of interest, the handling of justified criticism based on clearly proven facts, the extremely strong one-sidedness in the medical orientation and the pharmaceutical affiliation, then so much of the beautiful glow fades away!

All experience, depending on why you are there. For the fact that this hospital including the entire complex is so large, it is remarkable with what devotion and incredible professionalism there worked. In contrast, the other hospitals can pack in this city.

My experience with this hospital has been amazing. I had to stay for a few days and the treatment, both from doctors and nurses, was A' class. I thought I was staying at a hotel, honestly!

All of the doctors know English, a few nurses unfortunately not, but you can still get your job done even then. Moreover, doctors and equipment are among the best (if not the best) in Germany & Europe.

I don't encourage you to get sick, but if you do pay them a visit!

My gf couldn't hold anything in and was passing out regurlary...they just let her walk out of there in the same condition without any help whatsoever. Back in the waiting room where I needed to wait I had to help her when she passed out again. They took her again to a separate room. A half hour later the exact same thing happened. I understand staff is busy saving life's. but this is just ridiculous ...never were we treated this worse in a hospital

I can not recommend!
According to the doctor on the previous evening, the patient can leave the hospital at 9 a.m. No less than 6 hours later, the discharge documents were only ready. In addition, the doctor was very arrogant and incompetent!

For a paying outpatient i would never recommend this hospital. None of the nurses spoke English, delays up to 4 hours, double bookings. On day 3 i decided to check myself out from the hospital against dr aprove. He was going to write the discharge papers and then come back to my room within 1 hour, but after 1 hour when i asked for him it turned out that he had went home. Nothing went right at this hospital, you just sit there in your bed and wait and wait and wait. All in all a really bad experience. And to top it of you have to wait 3 mounts to get get your money back. I paid 18300 euros for basically just laying in a bed for 3 days. I would not be surprised if i dont get the money back. I do recommend uksh international in Kiel. They work really fast, everything on schedule, they speak English well both doctors and nurses. Save your money and avoid charite.

Unable to take blood correctly for the next examinations the first time, is then informed by phone that you want to come back and is then told at the registration that you need a new transfer slip again. Really annoying when you have restricted movement. Everything !! !

Research probably top; Emergency aid flop - with death!
My wife (private patient) died after having been transferred to the Vivantes hospital at 3:00 am after the first positive care at night! In both places, essential medicines (for which Unerlage had been submitted) were not administered. After an epileptic seizure (expected to occur on exposure to a drug (grabatin)) Vivantes-Klinikum administered high dose of morphine.

The doctors and medical staff are competent, polite and helpful. I am always explained everything exactly and I am attentively cared for. Even in stressful situations, time is taken and the patient is treated.

When my daughter went to the emergency room to see a doctor for help because she fell and hurt her ankle, my daughter was yelled at and told that she was stupid for coming to the hospital at night over such a silly issue. She was in a lot of pain and her ankle was swollen, yet they acted as though she had no reason to seek medical attention. This is incredibly rude and unacceptable. I'm shocked that a hospital emergency room would speak to someone this way.

My daughter was taken suddenly ill in Berlin about...

My daughter was taken suddenly ill in Berlin about a year ago, we suspect somebody spiked her drink, luckily her boyfriend was with her and able to get an ambulance called.

Then it all went downhill....

First the ambulance staff simply ignored her boyfriend, despite being the de facto next of kin, wouldn't let him accompany her, wouldn't tell him where they were taking her.

So he spent all night trying to find out where she was.

She, when she woke up next morning, found herself..in corridor, next to the toilets...

Her notes said she should have been on half hourly observation but wasnt looked at after initial arrival.

She , then, realising she was going to have to find her own way, got zero cooperation from the staff, and was only intercepted by a doctor as she was leaving , still with an IV in her harm.

So, still disorientated and still feeling not very well, in a city she had only been in for a few days, unfamiliar with the area this hospital was in, had to navigate on foot by the location of the sun until she could find somewhere she was familiar with and get back to the hotel.

She says she liked Berlin, but if she goes back to Germany she is going to carry the full 3rd world medivac insurance.

Great European card, no charge upfront.
Immediate care in emergencies following the fall out of the Brandenburg Gate info point (watch out!).
Work patience for the IDE to remove the alliance; double annular fracture (P1 D4 + M4 left). Very friendly staff.
Thanks to the laying of a resin and authorization of the doctor I could continue the stay in Berlin (2 days).
Repartee of the hospital with mail + radios for French surgeon. Back in France, operation performed as an outpatient with 2 screws and 2 pins.

Emergency room delivery room, first question "What are you doing here, is that not your desired birth hospital?" Me: "I thought I was just going to the next emergency service". Well now we know and all readers too. Only come if you gave birth here, otherwise just keep driving.

I had to visit the emergency during the weekend since I was scared I may have a serious health problem and did not want to wait for weeks for an appointment and was told I shouldn't have gone to the emergency but rather should have visited a doctor, which was not said in a friendly manner by the doctor... anyway the staff may not be friendly but the hospital is clean. There was a long waiting line and some people have been complaining to be waiting since 5 hours, but of course it dependa on the specialist you want/need to see...

Hi, I'd like to say that they probably try their best, but unless you are dying don't use the Emergency service if you can go to a general doctor. Apparently it's the hospital number 1 in Germany right now but I haven't had the chance to witness such a wonder today.

I can't judge from the perspective of a patient, but as a (non-medical) student at the university, I always liked coming here for interdisciplinary seminars and similar events. The architecture is really impressive and I always felt like going back in time a bit.

The champus Charite is in itself a sight! Historic, Grade II listed building, huge! The Hospital for Psychiatry hosts a great exhibition, and of course: the pathology! In addition to the burned-down lecture hall, in which Virchow and Sauerbruch taught, you can see the sensational pathological exhibition, from 22.3.2019 with a special exhibition for Privy Councilor Dr Sauerbruch!

Since the phone only appears busy from 10 a.m., I heard about it (because of severe pain)! innumerable attempts a friendly female voice that let me know that a questionnaire would be sent to me first and then it would be decided whether blablabla .... so n shitt! Although I told you in conversation that I suffer from pain attacks after chemotherapy, although I am set to 75nmg / h fentanyl plaster, but I have so much pain that I am out of action for days and really need help.
Strangely enough, the conversation was interrupted! Hmmm, may be that I have too high expectations as a health insurance patient,

This is the worst hospital to go. They make you wait for more than 2.5 hrs just for a simple consultation and x ray. Go only when you have all the free time in the world. Dl get enough food with you. Unless they feel one is not dying they do not value your time despite charging 300 euros without any hesitation. The hospital management should display the waiting time instead of torturing the one who needs help. Pathetic experience by someone visiting Berlin.

The doctor's talk should take place at 10 a.m., it is now 1:20 p.m. There is no doctor at station 115 A (neurosurgery). Last week to pull the strings, the waiting time for a doctor was 3.5 hours, despite the appointment. The patient still has circulatory problems after the operation and is lying on the floor on her jacket in the waiting area. Welcome to top Berlin medicine. P.S .: The sisters here are very nice despite being overwhelmed

Nobody can answer the phone, was there on site and they needed a full 2.5 hours just to make an appointment.
Absolutely disorganized the audiology.
I can not say anything to the doctors yet.
All other departments in the Charite are very good!

You have to wait a long time for an appointment, but they are very competent and friendly, go to the phone especially!
Was very happy to be there as a child, the atmosphere is much nicer and does not have this KH facility.

THE WORST EMERGENCY ROOM. I WAITED FOR 9 HOURS, and was attended for 5 min. I was with my daughter, she is 9 months old, and I still breastfeeding.
I had cystitis, and I already in treatment, but I was worse in Saturday (20/07), so I decided to go the emergency, recommendation for my doctor.
I did only urine test, without anamnese, blood test oder Ultraschall...
The doctor only changed the antibiotic.

Emergency triage nurse seemed more focussed on his Facebook account which he accessed on his personal laptop, rather than paying attention to the sick people who were lining up to be admitted. He knew we were waiting, and simply ignored us. Ridiculous.

Dr. Prof. Med. Fischer (radiology) is one of the best doctors I have been able to get to know so far.
A doctor with heart and fun at work even in times when Mr. Fischer actually has free time. wow

My greatest respect u respect to such people tritt also occurs

Dr. Pr. Med. Fischer is self-critical, despite stable knowledge and certainly ample experience.

A doctor & man of such a class, with such an aura + ability = madness.

Can heartily recommend this person as long as he exists.

Thank you for your ideal advice and treatment

For the future, I wish you all the love and creativity in all of your ways.

Above all, you remain so passionate about your work.

All the best for the nice staff!

I am from Mexico (living in Mexico) but several years I was living in many countries US, France, Poland and Germany it is the best hospital in the world by the quality of the medical doctors and profesionalism. If you want to cure from a cold or simple treatments this hospital is not for you and it is better go to the drugstore's corner and pharmacy , this hospital is designed for big problems like a half face reconstruction or hard diseases.
