Friday, Jan 20 walked in for lunch after a walk there. No one to discover the service and after a few uncomfortable minutes seated at a free table. Plenty of choice because there was only 1 table occupied. After about 10 minutes of waiting, no one has seen anyone. Suddenly a couple comes in and shortly thereafter someone from the ministry comes out of the kitchen. This woman walks right past me to the new guests and immediately provides them with a drink etc. Respond surprised, but unfortunately receive an inappropriate response. Was here before and more often, but from now on never again!

Over the years, we have often been eating at the Chateau Neercanne and also at the Auberge. It has always been a special experience. Now, a few days ago, we were there for the first time after the fire in the caves and the loss of the Michelin star for lunch. Why this star was lost was incomprehensible to us. The restaurant is decent and tastefully renovated, it has the new, young and obviously very talented chef de cuisine Gilbert of Berg (for his predecessor, by the way, we have nothing but admiration). Of course, the orientation of the kitchen has changed a bit, as might be expected with such a generational change. Rarely have we eaten anywhere, no matter where, so well. The chateau is cooked to the highest standard. Some of the tastes I felt days later and we left the restaurant completely happy. No, it is not the cheapest restaurant in Maastricht, but one of the best and most beautiful. Big compliment to the courteous service, which does everything, that this restaurant visit in the most pleasant memory.

Beautiful location with a panoramic view of the gardens from the castle. The food was really delicious, nothing to complain about. The setting in the marl cave was surprising and very atmospheric.

Fantastic castle very correct service, within an unforgettable atmosphere. We were able to attend a festival here, but this was very well organized. The weather was also very good, which made for an unforgettable experience. I can recommend everyone to visit this castle or enjoy the hospitality.

Beautiful castle, with an equally beautiful view.

Beautiful castle, with an equally beautiful view.

Had lunch in l'Auberge, with the 3-course menu, and delicious Dutch wine.

Top quality food and an incredibly friendly host.

The service was sometimes a bit slow, or forgot to explain the dishes at the table. This certainly does not detract from the friendliness, let that be said!

We wish all employees strength with the new closure. Hopefully we can come back soon!

We were here again for the 5th time and - damn good - they always do it again. Totally casual atmosphere, where Hospitality is written with a capital letter. Super quality for an average price. Where do you eat for 7 tens of 4 courses at Michelin level with wine arrangement (including Grand Cru Champagne) and coffee? And all this with that genuine smile. It was mega busy (2 large groups of more than 30 people), restaurant packed, but no mistake. At most a little delay, but far above expectations when it is that busy. The service is genuinely interested, donates very generous glasses without paying extra and does everything to make you happy. A young lady who served us had only just started working there, but was able to participate in terms of the established order. How do they do this again and again? Maastricht without Neercanne is unthinkable for us and has since been discussed. Tribute. We have lost a bit of our heart to this. And then that location ...

I went to their cave restaurant with family for the Christmas buffet.. The food was awesome.. Starters, mains, desert.. Everything was on point.. Also the variety of food was good enough for everyone to try and pick according to their preference.

Incredibly beautiful place. One of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands. This place exudes tranquility. Eating here is an experience you will never forget. The view is breathtaking and so is the dinner. Excellent service and spending time in the marl caves is the icing on the cake.

I've visited several 1 to 3 star Michelin restaurants and they are in the podium. Excellent quality, great care for the costumers, beautiful location and tasty proposals. Just one note: I'd never propose a white wine for sweetbread... But may be it's my personal view . Recommended, will be there again and again :)

Top location.

We had the 8 course meal with wine. Came on a Sunday and received world class service. Staff were very accommodating to a gluten allergy in our party. Beautiful building, garden, and wine cellar. The staff even gave us a brief tour! Food was amazing. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

I've been to Chateau Neercanne for a business dinner. It is really an impressive place to enjoy a select dinner and a glass of wine. The interior design is elegant and antique, giving the feeling of the "Belle Epoque". The view towards the garden and the hills is also very beautiful. If you go during the spring-summer, everything around is green.
I think it's an ideal location for very special occasions.
I assume the prices are on the level of the uniqueness of the location.

Enjoy your special day at Chateau Neercanne

Delicious food, top quality! Location is very nice and there is a nice atmosphere. Service is hospitable, but could be a bit better in some areas. But that will be fine, hopefully you will get your star back soon! You certainly deserve that!

What a great location.

Beautiful setting! Anniversary menu with wine package taken. Excellent from start to finish. Starting with a glass of champagne with a snack in the wine cellar (marl cave). Service very pleasant and not too formal. Not cheap but definitely not expensive for a star shop.
