The general manager personally received, a deep impression of a cinnamon-flavored rum cocktail, the English-style bathroom in the room is also very good, the bathtub is in the center, too suitable for taking pictures.

Absolutely faultless, old world charm updated in keeping with the period. With a level of service that's warm and efficient, making the former tea Plantation Bungalow feel cozy and familiar.
Personally, I found it rather tired and I missed aircon. The pool was freezing bug the food (especially the Sri Lankan food) was truly excellent. The train ride was ghastly! Very noisy & smelly
The best hotel I have been in Sri Lanka. You really feel like you are in your own house. 5 stars indeed. All inclusive, meals and drinks. Swimpool, croquet, billiard, open bar. You can't go wrong. The sweetest staff I have ever encounter. You should stay at least 2 nights to really understand the concept. Every detail has been look after. A must.
How beautiful, after leaving the hustle bustle of Kandy and the grueling drive up in to the mountains it was like reaching heaven. We were pampered and loved every minute. We thoroughly enjoyed the tea plantation tour experience, we know so much more about tea now and how it is made. Thankyou for a lovely stay
Away from the heat and the crowds, you are surrounded by hillsides of camellia sinensis shrubs laid out in artful tiers. We stayed at Norwood for two nights with a small group travelling together and therefore had the entire house to ourselves. You can go for walks, laze by the pool, read from the library collection, sit by the fireplace and enjoy exceptional meals. The included tea tour and sampling was comprehensive and informative. It was a wonderful respite from days of touring UNESCO sites! From the beautifully landscaped grounds to the helpful service of the staff, this short stay to essentially "do little" was heaven.
Great place in the middle of a tea plantation with perfect views and great hiking opportunities. The service and food are top notch. Then if you want to pamper yourself, this is the place.
surrounded with hills, rivers and tea. Really great place for a peaceful rest. Expensive and price worthy place. Good in customer relationship. Love in and out of these place.
What a place... this gem is one of the most greenest place I saw in my life. The views are something you remember for a long time.
We had the Norwood bungalow, which is kind of a hunting hut, with a few rooms for different guests. The dining room is a central room, with wooden tables. There are card games, ball games and a pool table.
Outside, there is a swimming pool, and a walking path. A short driving distance is a tea factory, where you can learn how tea is made and even try different types of tea.
We stayed there a few days and it was a magical experience. I would recommend booking early, because the get fully booked.
Outstanding boutique hotel - comprised of multiple buildings spread over a hillside by a lake, these properties were once home to the tea plantation owners. We stayed at Norwood Bungalow (7 guest rooms) which was built by British owners more than 150 yrs ago, really a unique property in an amazing setting. We travel extensively and this is one of the finest hotels with the best service - nothing is too much to ask and the atmosphere is very casual. Highly recommended!
Great experience of exceptional service, delicious cuisine , clean and nice rooms and a dedicated staff . Our 2 day stay was wonderful. Definitely worth another visit.
from start to finish 5 star. beautiful setting in the tea trail holls. wonderful garden and pool area. rooms luxurious classic colonial. art deco feel. very clean. lovely touch of hot water bottles to warm the bed. rooms had own attached private gardens. staff very friendly and attentive. great playing croquet and pool. outside dinning next to a open fire. very romantic. the food was first class, from varying international cuisine or traditional sri lankan curries. some of yhe sweets were of Michelin standatd. outstanding! Mangereress was first rate, again very attentive.. very enjoyable stay. highly recommended
I visited this location with my mother during our trip and I enjoyed the experience of staying at Norwood Bungalow. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the attentiveness of the staff, the quality of the facility itself and the constant supply of whatever you wanted. The views and facilities were great and the staff were accommodating when it came to experiencing the other activities in the area.
The one hiccup during my stay was that I did not enjoy the steak that I ordered during dinner one night but the issue was resolved immediately.
Pure perfection. There is no equal in Sri Lanka in terms of relaxation, genuinely awe-inspiring hospitality, luxury, authentic local culture in the surrounding villages, incredible food and not having to worry about being shaken down for extras at every turn. Not inexpensive, true, but so utterly worth it..which is more than I can say about most of the top hotels in the world, let alone the suddenly crazy-overpriced south of Sri Lanka. Skimp on the rest of the holiday on the coast if you can and spring for at least 2 to 3 nights here - you wont regret it!
Magical getaway, exceeding all expectations, the bungalow has 6BR and is very charming, the service is simply phenomenal, headed by Sanath who will look after your every need , he was able to cater to all the different requests from our party of 11, head Chef Ranil and his team did an outstanding job, the pastry chef does some of the best croissants in Sri Lanka and Chef Ranils three course set menus are outstanding, Chef Ranil also shared his recipes with me and showed me how to make them, thank you, wow! the staff makes the place even better than what it is as they are attentive, ever helpful and want to please you. It s a wonderful place for a holiday.
One of the best hotel in srilanka.never expected that kind of hospitality and the service.relaxation and the environment are over the top.highly recommend
We stayed at Summerville bungalow (we reckon it was the best location of the 3 around the lake). It far exceeded our expectations. Very much worth the money. If you can, book at seaplane to your next destination! Highly recommended.
