The general manager personally received, a deep impression of a cinnamon-flavored rum cocktail, the English-style bathroom in the room is also very good, the bathtub is in the center, too suitable for taking pictures.

Personally, I found it rather tired and I missed aircon. The pool was freezing bug the food (especially the Sri Lankan food) was truly excellent. The train ride was ghastly! Very noisy & smelly

The best hotel I have been in Sri Lanka. You really feel like you are in your own house. 5 stars indeed. All inclusive, meals and drinks. Swimpool, croquet, billiard, open bar. You can't go wrong. The sweetest staff I have ever encounter. You should stay at least 2 nights to really understand the concept. Every detail has been look after.
A must.

How beautiful, after leaving the hustle bustle of Kandy and the grueling drive up in to the mountains it was like reaching heaven.
We were pampered and loved every minute. We thoroughly enjoyed the tea plantation tour experience, we know so much more about tea now and how it is made.
Thankyou for a lovely stay

Away from the heat and the crowds, you are surrounded by hillsides of camellia sinensis shrubs laid out in artful tiers. We stayed at Norwood for two nights with a small group travelling together and therefore had the entire house to ourselves. You can go for walks, laze by the pool, read from the library collection, sit by the fireplace and enjoy exceptional meals. The included tea tour and sampling was comprehensive and informative. It was a wonderful respite from days of touring UNESCO sites! From the beautifully landscaped grounds to the helpful service of the staff, this short stay to essentially "do little" was heaven.

What a place... this gem is one of the most greenest place I saw in my life. The views are something you remember for a long time.

We had the Norwood bungalow, which is kind of a hunting hut, with a few rooms for different guests. The dining room is a central room, with wooden tables. There are card games, ball games and a pool table.

Outside, there is a swimming pool, and a walking path. A short driving distance is a tea factory, where you can learn how tea is made and even try different types of tea.

We stayed there a few days and it was a magical experience. I would recommend booking early, because the get fully booked.

Outstanding boutique hotel - comprised of multiple buildings spread over a hillside by a lake, these properties were once home to the tea plantation owners. We stayed at Norwood Bungalow (7 guest rooms) which was built by British owners more than 150 yrs ago, really a unique property in an amazing setting. We travel extensively and this is one of the finest hotels with the best service - nothing is too much to ask and the atmosphere is very casual. Highly recommended!

I visited this location with my mother during our trip and I enjoyed the experience of staying at Norwood Bungalow. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the attentiveness of the staff, the quality of the facility itself and the constant supply of whatever you wanted. The views and facilities were great and the staff were accommodating when it came to experiencing the other activities in the area.

The one hiccup during my stay was that I did not enjoy the steak that I ordered during dinner one night but the issue was resolved immediately.

Pure perfection. There is no equal in Sri Lanka in terms of relaxation, genuinely awe-inspiring hospitality, luxury, authentic local culture in the surrounding villages, incredible food and not having to worry about being shaken down for extras at every turn. Not inexpensive, true, but so utterly worth it..which is more than I can say about most of the top hotels in the world, let alone the suddenly crazy-overpriced south of Sri Lanka. Skimp on the rest of the holiday on the coast if you can and spring for at least 2 to 3 nights here - you wont regret it!
