Little disappointed to see its smaller size than expected but, its contents are much wider, vast and versatile than its physical size.

It has some noteworthy stuff but it looks like what happens when millenials try to impress.... half of the mechanical stairways weren t working. Also, the first three floors were closed, not to mention that it is a black eye on a beautiful city, I mean really who was the genius who put an oversized warehouse in the middle of Paris? The collection is not great by any standards.... I m glad I went on the first Sunday of the month and it was free if you don t have the time just skip this altogether.....
Too much empty space. There is to walk. Unclear indications. The view is nice, but do not go there for that.
Personally, I did not like it that much. The totally overheated glass tubes with filthy are in my opinion not recommended, a view from the outside is enough, in the surrounding cafes you can also eat / drink delicious.
Continuous strikes since the 31st of March (or even before, I am not sure about the news). We planned to go there and spend the morning, and we were really eager about it, but reached the doors, two employees were there saying they were striking and they were not sure when they would have opened. I may understand that they have a reason, but if it is really such a long time they are keeping the venue closed, and on their website they keep selling tickets and promoting different temporary exhibitions, I am not sure about their professionalism. Be careful, try to check the openings before walking there or buying your ticket online.
Haughty staff "pff for children, here? !!", complicated access to have to go around the building, for nothing ... In short, to avoid.
One staff at the main entrance was rude and pompous. More strict than the Louvre!!! The structure was the only thing I liked. Visit the D'Orsey or Louvre for more satisfaction.
Ok place. The timings on the website is not clear. It says 11pm on Thursday. But apparently only 6th floor is open with a special ticket. Paris pass not valid. I dont understand modern art. It seemed boring to me.
Regrettably, previously public spaces, such as the panoramic terrace on the top floor, are being privatized ...
Ruined electronics, but other than that the frog was meh.
Not enough work despite the capacity of the site and a very high price !!!
Contemporary art...can also be described by a four letter C word
Great Picasso exhibition, went there because of the cubism and we were not disappointed. Thing is we went there with a handicapped person. Nothing well displayed or indicated, terrible attention by the security or entrance people. The place is dirty and its such a mess. They shall also control the amount of people getting there.
Wanted to see Paris from above on the 5th floor viewing platform. 5 entrance fee for that, which does NOT incl museum. VERY MISLEADING! You cannot really go outside, except for a very small area near the elevators. You can only look at the city thru the very dirty plexiglass tubes and only on one side of the bldg. Disappointing.
sorry but i really dont understand this kind of art. one of the pieces was a chair- which my grandma had back in the 1960's in Russia... the other piece presented 3 white 3*3m canvas. i guess this is totally not my taste and maybe someone will find this amazing or meaningful but for my husband and I- this was a waste of time. at least we had a good view of paris from the 5th floor.
Damage site probably interesting but pay 5 to just go up, escalator down is not much to see is the scam
It's all about white men. The design of the building is inspiring. But the curators haven't curated very well.
Few works to admire compared to the exhibition area. I have the price of the ticket across the gorge. Lack of information, not interactive enough !!! Just take pictures of the outside and say "I was there" ... or didn't go there ..
Terrible condition- unlike all other museums in Paris this one looks like it was never cleaned. It is out of place but if you like its look it is still sad how incredibly dirty it is. When inside it looks like a convention center. Vast open spaces with nothing in them. We got there shortly after opening and there was garbage on the floor The staff must not really care about the museum. The best part may be ascending the escalator and seeing the view of the city. The building of course is not in the view The floors are cracked as the building settled. It was built at a bad time for construction standards On the positive side it is a great place for schools to take kids. See it once so you can say you did. And then go to one of the other amazing museums in Paris instead. To me the esthetics of the museum itself are critical. While the collection is very impressive the condition of the museum, the layers of dirt and grime covering it, the obvious lack of care by whoever runs it, make it less than what it should be.
Absolutely disgusting. An ode to soulless modernism
Square closed for works. You go 'on purpose to see the street performers and performing groups of young people get distracted. With the closed square it makes no sense to go there
Honestly not something I would recommend. I was expecting much more. I am disappointed by the fact the the Pompidou expect you to pay extras for almost everything. It is overrated and not worth the visit.
There is no merit to enter entrance fee. There is not a lot higher than this building in the vicinity of Dan, and scenery is good
Hit and miss exhibits. Loved it years ago. This time I really could not find something it was truly worth my time.
Going there is a sacrifice. Getting in is difficult. Staying there is heroic. Everything is better when you get out!
Poor organization. Queues 3/4 of an hour to get onto the escalators to the museum collection and exhibits, and even more queues to access the exhibition halls. And then, *special* ticket holders allowed in ahead of those of us who had been waiting half an hour. The toilets on that floor were within the restricted area requiring the exhibition tickets. The general collection is interesting and had plenty of room to move about. The air conditioning couldn't keep up with the July sun.
Confusing art museum. Entrance was temporary so I'll give it a break but it felt like we walked halfway around the building for no reason. Tickets were also bizarre because it was all the same price but they wanted us to pick the exhibits we wanted to see. Why wouldn't we want to see all the exhibits? I was excited about seeing the building and the exhibits but it was the biggest disappointment of our trip to Paris.
Not suitable for everyone, do your research and see if the art is your taste I had a good laugh at the glass enclosed urinal on display though
Seriously, modernistic rubbish. But many people like it.
Went there because it was free in our pass. Did not like most of building. It's quite confusing since it's hard to figure which places are worth visiting. The art gallery on top is nice. Also the view of Paris from the top
I don't really like this place. It's always packed with people. Except for the unique architecture of the building, I don't find this place attractive.
The most poorly organized museum I've ever visited, greatly detracting from the experience
Huge line to get in, waiting in the cold, because only 2 people performed security check, VERY expensive ticket
Perhaps the ugliest museum, both aesthetically and in terms of contents throughout Paris.
The filthy neighborhood around the center is a veritable court of miracles. There is better to see in Paris.
This is only my very personal appreciation. I don't like this architectural style. Cold and unattractive building. Parvi closed for work. So no photos. However, continue to Place des Vosges ...
It is of course a magical place to see contemporary art. We often hang with exhibitions, but this time: not-all. The first exhibition: Bacon. That does not put you in a good mood, but at the second exhibition on Boltanski, you get out of it: the rusty cookie boxes turned into a funeral urn. I stopped the show, the morale to 0 ....
If u want to visit it.. you would better go on the first Sunday of the month as it 'll be for free
Like the exhibition itself, but the route of visiting is a huge mess. Plus many things don't work, eg toilet escalator elevator.
An empty canvas is not art in my head. Neither is a blue canvas. And the bile of white blocks on the middle of the floor.. This was not for me, but it was an experience. Just not a good one.
We are not much interested in Modern Art , but the layout of building is eye-catching and interesting , free entry for Paris Museum pass for long- term exhibition but new exhibition is limited.
Overpriced, under construction, half of the place was closed and still asked to be of money
The lack of quality audio guides makes visits inferior to the quality found in other major museums. For us, it was about the exhibition on Bacon whose "podcasts" explained the tables.
Long line, security to get in worse than airports, and many rooms with questionable to terrible modern art hiding some ok things. The view from the 5th floor is decent but not worth the lines and security in my opinion. Oh yeah, if you buy a ticket online, it doesn't help much with lines.
It is very badly organized. In addition it is really expensive to go upstairs. I must say that it should be free I do not see how they legitimize such a price: 5 . I will add that in addition to the staff of the counter it gives the right to be acerbic. Not a good image for a building of this size. As for the expo, it's just a hell of a labyrinth inside!
In a state of disrepair, the Pompidou Center has lost a great deal of its prestige. More than 20 years ago, I already had the opportunity to see it. At that time, this building was majestic. Today, I wanted to show the building to my daughter, a big disappointment for us.
If you are not otherwise specifically a fan of modern/contemporary art (as I am not), do not expect to enjoy much of your visit. Likely, everyone can find a few pieces they enjoy, though.
Interesting but it's more then enough to take few photos from outside. Nothing interesting inside (few overpriced shops),cinema.
Expensive with limited appeal even to those with eclectic tastes in art. A pity...
It's nice place to visit for those who likes ancient paintings and the cultures
Haven't been insite. But from an architecture student's perspective, it looked quite out of place. Like a construction site.
Really struggled to understand why this is a tourist attraction
Long lines and very weird exhibitions. I've loved moma and other modern art museums but this was way too weird ,i suggest only for hard-core modern abstract lovers.
When it was built it impressed by its "pro" architecture but now it says nothing .... I think it is already out of date.
Aged, poorly highlighted works, supervisory staff with no outfit giving a bad image of France. On the other hand, the people at the reception are pleasant.
Children Gallery is just a joke. Is just a playground. Other than that, it's Pompidou...
Very unfriendly place, not impressed. Good bookshop though
Gallery was nice, presentation was excellent. 9/10 would recommend. Communication and staff were very disappointing. We arrived allowing 2 hours (website claims galleries closed at 10 on the English page) The french page states 9, which is correct. They closed and asked us to leave the galleries at 830. When we asked why we had to leave a half hour early and couldn't leave in 15 minutes, they cited "construction" contacting information to ask for a partial refund (since nobody decided to mention we only had a very short time when we gave them the tickets) That was also declined. Bad experience, if I was coming back, and could go again, I still would not. I understand it's my problem for not reading the french page, but that was disappointing on all counts.
Couldn't actually get in as the queue was far too long!
I must say that this place came through as a bit of a disappointment on my trip to Paris. This is basically a jigsaw of pipes and structures like that which is quite popular among artists who think unconventionally but it did not appeal to my aesthetic sense. I would not recommend visiting this place.
Not really great if you're not an art student. Wouldn't revisit
Nothing interesting ... just for contemporary art fans
Not very impressive after my taste, but probably a good place for exhibitions. Too cold atmosphere, all wrapped in cold grey concrete.
The staff left us, a family with a 6 month old child and a 3 year old boy, to stand in the pouring rain for 1 hour. The staff saw it and nobody was interested. Unfortunately we had no umbrella or a rain jacket. The staff earns a smooth 6 for kindness later in the center of yours. The exhibitions were very good, but that has been severely tarnished by the staff. That's why unfortunately only 2 stars. For families with children, it is definitely not recommended. All families with children were formally persecuted by the staff. Everywhere you went, you did not feel welcome.
Compared to many years ago I found it very decayed. The fountain outside is in complete abandonment and dirty. The structure is undergoing restoration for which there are external barriers. We hope better and return to ancient splendors
Great art but there was no audio guide or any other guide available.... Only by the official app but the free wifi did not allow access to the App Store .... Very disappointing.
