We did not go inside the galleries but went to see the outside and watch street performers. Sadly the area is not as I remember it. There was very little happening in the area and we ended up moving on quite quickly.

Most boring modern art museum I've ever been to. The building and the view are the highlights. If you have the paris museum pass go in and go up to the top floor for the view at least. I wouldn't pay to see the art here. But half of it was closed while we were there so maybe had that been open I would have enjoyed it more.

Although I am not necessarily an appreciator of contemporary or modern art, it is a very beautiful museum, well structured with cafes and adequate catering. The highlight is without doubt is the summit with a very nice view of Paris.

Le Centre Pompidou is an amazing art place in Paris. Temporary art shows and permanent collections are always displayed with intelligence, with a rare skill of how to use the space and the art of scenography.
Amazing view from the upper level!

It was more fun than the 5th floor because there are many modern art works on the 4th floor, which was a bit strange. I couldn't feel much understanding or impression in front of masterpiece paintings because I didn't have a Korean explanation ... I just don't know much about art.
It's so big (almost Orsay) that it's hard to see it in a day!
Because of my physical strength and knowledge, I have a lot of regrets, so I have three bottles.

* 4th floor too recommended
* You have to go to the luggage storage room before entering to store your luggage.

For some it is a marvel of architecture of the XXth century, for others a wart in the landscape! You still have to recognize that he has a very recognizable style with his outdoor escalators and huge colorful pipes. Inside we find a national museum, art collections, beautiful works for the modern and contemporary period. The Center regularly presents exhibitions. There is also a library, a shop, a restaurant access, a panoramic terrace with a view of Paris.
An opening on the culture, unfortunately an access price which is not within the reach of all the purses, it especially became an appointment for the tourists.

Nice nice nice
Museum of contemporary art in the center of Paris. The cost of entry is really reduced for installations that are inside. The structure itself is a very important engineering and architectural facility. Inside there are more exhibitions and the Pompidou museum.
Inside the museum there are also installations that involve not only the view but also the sense of smell and hearing often and very happily involve very special sensations.

The Pompidou was a fantastic experience. I had to drag my family here on a warm day but it was totally worth it. It was especially interesting to see this before going to the Lourve to show how art has changed throughout history. We were a little bummed that the temporary exhibit required you to buy the full-price ticket rather than letting you use the city pass but what can you do about that!

The free exhibits were good but there are so many that you may want to do a quick sweep of them all. This will allow you can find something that speaks to you first so you can know where to focus your time.

My favorite pieces were the big blue square and the blue guy. Cool building, great view, loved it!

Inescapable and huge. The collection is very rich. The library is worth the detour, it is a real public place of access to knowledge for all. By cons the tail can be terrible. Avoid tourist days and before exams

Beautiful art with original paintings and sculptures. Loved the modern art museum with work from Matisse, Picasso, etc.
But queues are so looong.
Recommendation--buy tickets online, bring headphones for your phone.

Very good library but it is stormed the weekend and the tail is often very long (up to 3h). It is absurd but it is one of the only libraries open in Paris on Sunday. There is an indoor cafeteria with exorbitant prices, go shopping at the crossroads across the street if you can. The wifi works fine most of the time. There is always seating because you will not be able to return if all seats are taken.

I was surprised to see so many works of modern and contemporary art masters! These works are the presentation of their thoughts. You don't have to think about it once, you don't have to think about it. If you have more curiosity, you will gain endless.

Museum of Contemporary Art, .... not really much to add about it, it's really special. Go if you are (really) curious, but otherwise go your way. If you appreciate modern art it's the Parisian reference.
Concerning the place the museum is clean, the staff pleasant and the collection rather vast.

Modern art (not really my thing). The place is well layed out and you can go in for free if you're 18 years old or younger (you have to show your ID).
It's worth going in just for the rooftop view over Paris. Beautiful.

West of the centre, place Georges Pompidou and the nearby pedestrian streets attract buskers, musicians, jugglers and mime artists. South of the centre on place Igor Stravinsky are fanciful mechanical fountains of skeletons, hearts, treble clefs and a big pair of ruby-red lips, created by Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle.
Well...pick a side :))

A contemporary art museum, its exhibitions cater to a variety of preferences. While you may prefer certain exhibitions to others, you'd definitely find some pieces of art work (indoor or outdoor) to your liking. Great views too. Not to be missed if you can help it.

My mother and I enjoyed a Saturday afternoon at the Pompidou while in Paris celebrating her 75th birthday in July 2015. While I've visited Paris many times, my mother is a small town kind of girl from northern Minnesota and I wasn't sure if she'd appreciate modern art. She was thrilled by the exhibits and the architecture of the center. We had a terrific time !

The structure is original and is inserted in a completely different context that makes it stand out for its originality. The plexiglass staircase admires the exterior while it rises to reach the panoramic view.

Super

Allot of fantastic street artist around the fountain. Good place to take some time out after visiting Notre Dame on the other side.

We loved the Pompidou! What an intriguing and awesome museum. The range of work is amazing and thought provoking. We loved Jim Dine's work and the "classic" modernists and notable pieces, while also being pleasantly confused by the more abstract works. The gift shop and library and lovely as well.
