Wonderful venue. My cousin just had a wedding there it was very nice.
Wonderful venue. My cousin just had a wedding there it was very nice.
We saw Animal House and wow! What a creative production. I read this more than 40 years ago and it is amazing how pertinent the message still is.
Go see this if you can!
Outstanding renovations. Excellent service. The production beyond excellent! Looking forward to the fall season.
Enjoyed "Shakespeare in Love" in a very nice space.
If you get a chance by the 10th (June), check out Soul the Stax Musical, it was magnificent, if you closed your eyes you may have thought these were the original artists, but don't close your eyes when Boise Holmes (Isaac Hayes) performs, he's a sexy somebody. The entire cast was well thought out. Excellent job
My experience was wonderful! I went to see the "LookingGlass Alice". It was one of the most satisfying play I've went to. The theater is clean and very relaxing.
Great place to spend part of your weekend. The package deals are wonderful and getting your seats for upcoming shows is quick and easy. This place is professional, friendly, organized, clean and best of all, seems to offer a great variety of shows and we've never been disappointed by the wonderful actors, the mastery of the stage scenery, or the content of the plays. Reasonably priced - this is a great way to spend a few hours.
Intimate setting thus all seats are great seats! I saw Soul The Stax Musical. Great singing, dancing and storyline!
Wonderful venue for all types of live performances.
Saw a show on Stax Records the show, sound, dancing and play was delightful. Prior to the start of the show the waiting crowd was entertained by singing and dances. Parking was only $5.
Wonderful establishment that offers an array of cultural events.
I love plays and this place have some of the best plays in town by plays I mean Theatre and its a a must to visit here when you're in town...
Great setting for plays. Great performances year-round. Reasonably priced. Really not a bad seat in the house.
Went here to see Jazz it was a wonderful play and the environment is so warm
Hands down, the best independent theater company in Baltimore
This review is for the restaurant on the second floor of the theater where you can order a meal before the play starts. It's called Dooby's.
I had New England clam chowder. It was not as creamy as it is supposed to be. There were plenty of potato chunks, not enough clam chunks, and not enough herb seasoning. I also had a turkey and grilled vegetable sandwich. The turkey was good, but there were not enough grilled vegetables. My wife liked her tomato soup, but she was disappointed by the crab cake. This is Maryland. They should have put in lump crab meat. They didn't.
A Great Experience @ Center Stage ' enjoyed the Play " Indecent
This theater, I didn't know what to expect but it did not disappoint. The play was wonderful. The ambiance was nice and clean.
The view is excellent the way the seating has been rearranged.
It was clean & cozy.
Kudos to the volunteers.
And Play "Stax" was superb with Excellent Acting, Dancing, Music, Singing, Stage Props & Support Crew.
This should go to Broadway...
This is a fabulous place and the play Twisted Melodies was amazing. It's a must see
Visited the main stage this time for Staxs:the Musical. Seats were comfy and afforded a good view of the stage. Pre show was stellar! Can't wait to go back.
Warm and welcoming environment. Attended a reception for Mirlande Jean-Gilles, an awesome Visual Artist
Beautiful theatre, cool atmosphere, small but professional
I recently decided to subscribe to Center Stage. I feel they do as good a job as any theater in town at making an effort to make me, a black man in his mid-30s, feel welcome and represented in their productions. Their entire season is good and usually features one or two shows that are really dynamite.
What a terrific local theater! Ambiance, great shows!
As always, Center Stage presents the very best productions
Great experience! Very cool architecture and a modern, intimate, professional performance space. Might have to subscribe
Tonight at Center Stage was phenomenal. I saw Twisted Melodies it was play about Donny Hathaway it was fabulous it was just fabulous when it comes around it's around till the 19th of May go see it it is a must
The facility was great but I disliked the play INDECENT.
The environment was wonderful, food was delicious, and staff very warm and friendly.
Went to see 'Cat On A Hot Tin Roof'..it was excellent! The theater is beautiful. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 - a small coffee cost $4..
The play was very entertaining and enjoyable. The acting was well done.
Nice, small to medium sized Theatre. Garage parking on the right at light before Theatre.
One of the best performing arts theaters in the town. I watched a couple of plays here, one being Animal Farm. Each time its has been an amazing experience
Sound system is pretty awesome, view is pretty much clear from anywhere in the theater. Their lobby/drinks lounge/area is cool too. Would definitely return to watch another play soon.
Very nice and elegant venue for events. Easy street parking too.
Lovely theater in the Mt Vernon area. Three stages ranging from intimate to expansive. Nice seats, good acoustics, and small bar in the lobby. They don't allow drinks in the theatres, though.
Love this theater. There is not a bad seat in the house.
An anthology of Yiddish Theatre 1920-1955 in Europe and America
Baltimore's professional theater (one of two). The productions are always well done. The plays chosen are slightly on the safe side, but the new executive director is trying to push the envelope a bit.
It was just what the doctor ordered. It was uplifting and I knew every song.
Really nice venue, the show was fantastic and they used the small stage perfectly to set the scene. Very impressive! The eating areas seem nice, we only had drinks at the upstairs bar (go early to avoid long lines). Friendly, professional staff. We had great seats.
It was a nice night out in Baltimore. We really like the Mount Vernon neighborhood.
The play was very entertaining.
Was here for monitorama conference. The place was nice, acoustics seemed good, all in all a positive experience.
Beautiful, small and quaint playhouse.
Not one bad seat in the place!!
Lobby looks like a museum, picture perfect!!
I've driven by millions of times and never knew this local gem was there!!
I was invited by my great great gf out for her birthday to go see "Fun Home" and it was a fantastic experience.
I am now enrolled to their emails so I will never miss information regarding upcoming plays and events here!!
Oh, & the parking ... Street parking available and there's a $5 garage diagonally from playhouse.
Bravo Center Stage... Bravo !!
Great performance as usual. We were able to park easily on the road. Pleasant staff. No issues with any part of our visit.
Soul, the Stax Musical was energetic and mesmerizing. So much fun.
Comfortable venue with good entertainment. On-street parking or a garage nearby. An underrated Baltimore institution.
Great performances, hospitable employees that greet you with smiles, offer assistance, and are very knowledgeable about the services provided. Theatres are cozy and well put together for the plays. Performances are wonderfully entertaining and sometimes thought provoking.
Great theatre setting with good ethnic restaurants close.
Saw a wonderful production of Lookingglass Alice. Great production values, talented performers, visually spectacular.
I have a been a theater member for the last three years.
My Daughter had a marvelous experience for summer camp.
