Nice quiet campground. Large sites and close to the aquarium.
Nice quiet campground. Large sites and close to the aquarium.
Well maintained and clean. Many activities for children and adults.
I honestly feel after traveling over 1500 miles the last six months and staying in many RV parks I can write an honest review of what to expect while camping. While in a campground in New Jersey that I won t comment on at this time my two little dogs and myself were victims of a vicious dog attack. After the attack we no longer felt safe at that campground so we called our next scheduled stop on our trip which was Seaport RV Resort in Mystic Ct. I ask them if they could accommodate us much earlier than expected after our very traumatic experience. They welcomed us with open arms. Once we arrived I was greeted by the friendliest staff. The park is so beautiful and well maintained. The grass was always neatly manicured and the lots were very spacious. All our neighbors were extremely respectful and the pets were walked by responsible adults. The laundry and restrooms were meticulously kept clean. The pool area was very nice and well kept. While there my injuries from the dog attack in New Jersey began to worsen to the point of hospitalization. I was so worried about my wife and our little fur babies being left alone in the park. However the worry was unfounded, when the park staff found out our predicament they were so kind to my wife. The staff offered to extend our stay and if needed offered to move my RV to another site if I hadn t recovered when the next campers arrived for my spot. They made sure my tanks were pumped out and watched over my wife. They genuinely cared about my health and the wellbeing of my wife and little fur babies. I wish this site would allow me to give a hundred stars for going way above and beyond what other RV parks would never do. Thank you to all the staff for being to kind to us. I know in my heart you will be repaid ten fold for treating people in need with such kindness.
This is a very clean, friendly Resort. Lots of seasonal ca notes that are helpful and nice!
We have been coming to Seaport Campground for 20 years and have gone through many owners. Sun is an amazing company and has done great things with the campground. The activities are low key but there is enough to keep the kids busy. I don't feel like I am on a cruise ship being bombarded with activities. The pool is perfect and the kids (5 & 7) have a blast when they come with us. The sights are nice and roomy and the amenities are great too.
Close to the beaches and Mystic seaport.
Friendly and helpful staff too. Very clean facilities.
There is no woods its not camping its Glamping the store closes at the worst time and there is nothing to do for teens like my friend and I it is ok for little kids but not for teens
Nice pool. No sewer hookup (dumping station) and not much shade available. Park is a little dusty too. Some real big rigs were parked here.
PRO: Park has level grass and gravel sites.
Has some trees, but was able to get satellite reception. Convenient to Mystic, Groton and New London. Has pool and pickle ball court.
BIG CON: ELECTRIC WAS TERRIBLE..COULDN'T RUN EVEN 1 AIR CONDITIONER. 85 VOLTS ON 1 LINE OF THE 50AMP, WHICH COULD DESTROY THE POWER SYSTEM OF MY COACH. Park didn't go out of their way to find me another site. For the price. I expected better.
PARK HAS ONLY WATER AND ELECTRIC ( NO SEWER SYSTEM). There are dump stations and honey wagon service available.
Nice campground near Mystic. Need not worry about leaves falling on top of slides because there are not many trees. Enjoyed our stay, and if you travel with dogs, there is a dog park next to the laundry room.
I never write negative reviews, but my experience with a staff member at this RV park was so bad that I feel people should know about it. My wife had driven separately and showed up at the campground early in the day and checked us in. I was arriving much later with the trailer and she informed them of this fact. Because of traffic I did not show up until 10:30PM. My wife was waiting at the gate for me and opened the gate. We drove to the site and when I arrived I discovered that there was no water hook up. The pipe was broken off at the ground. It was dark and I parked the trailer on the gravel pad. At this point a red truck pulled up with a white bearded older gentleman. I was very excited to see him, because I needed to know what to do since there was no water. Before I could even say hi, he demanded to see our paperwork and pass. My wife had to get it out of her car and she could not get it fast enough for this man. He just kept demanding to see our paperwork. While my wife was getting the paperwork I asked him about the water situation. He would not answer me until he saw our paperwork. After my wife gave him the paperwork and proved to him we had already paid and registered, all he said was that he would straighten it out tomorrow. Then he proceed to yell at me and tell me that I parked the trailer wrong and that I needed to move it perpendicular to where it was. I told him that I was on the pad correctly and he continued to argue with me. He then drove off. So I had no water that night. No one came the next morning, so I hooked up my water to the site next to me.That was not how I wanted to start my vacation after a long drive. The other thing, is that there were no full hookups. They have a pump out truck, but you have to be there three days before they will pump you out. The way my kids go through showers, my gray water was full quickly. I was going to have pay them an extra fee to have them pump out my grey water before three days. I refused. We left the campground early to relocate to the KOA down the road.
Wasley keeps his 5th wheeler here...nice camping facility.
Nice amount of space between RV sites.
Cable didn't work.
Showers & bathrooms look new and very clean.
Free wifi is 'choked' to stop people streaming! (I can't argue with them doing that) but works fine otherwise.
Maytag washing machines work very well, as do the dryers. $2/load wash and $2/load to dry.
Free honey wagon if staying 3 days or more, otherwise 2 dump stations on site.
15min very scenic cycle ride to Mystic - parking is tight there in season
Overall campground is clean & tidy with helpful staff and very acceptable pricing
Nice large sites! No highway noise. Pet friendly. The dog wakes me up early to go outside because they enjoy it here too.
No sewage and sitting by the pool you can smell the dump station, no activities, and shops close at 5 and you can't play mini golf or play pool and workout unless your 18
This place was great. Staff were friendly and assistive.
Very, very nice park that is located minutes from everything. Clean level sites with heated pool, playground, bath houses, and laundry facilities are all first class.
The only "ding" is that there is no sewer hookups however, they do have a free pump out service every two days. So watch those long showers or use their awesome and clean shower house. Very manageable!
Awesome campground, great staff. Lots of places to visit in this historical area
Clean, comfortable, level site with a wonderful fire pit. Staff extremely helpful finding me a great site for a one night pass through. It was carnival weekend. Lots of stuff for the kids. Disappointed pool was t open but upgrades take time. Stayed here in a 32' RV August 2013
We will stay here again
Great place very clean nice pool friendly staff close to lots of fun activities and shopping.
This is very close to the Historical places you want to see. The park is immaculate, but I would prefer a few trees around, but I know, they are messy.
Very nice location to Mystic,. Lots to see and do. Good lobster close by. Like the little places not to fancyt the best. also was convient to explore Rhode Island, not too much extra driving to get there.
A nice clean rv park less than 10mins from Mystic. Easy bike ride into town from here. Decent shop onsite with rv & camp stuff + firewood ($6/bundle). Wash & dry are $2 ea, & washers work well.
Sites are NOT full hookup. Dump stations & honey wagon service available. Propane also available ($3.90/gal as of 9/1/16).
pool over crowded with little kids and the swings were too high up to get on,, also the site numbers were very hard to find
clean, easy to back into site. QUITE at night yaaaaaaa!
Very clean. Modern facilities. Easy hookups. You are cheek by howl with other campers, but nice set up mtigates the intimacy.
This place is excellent especially the folks on site 59 they are so friendly
Great times at Seaport, the new management has done a lot to improve this place.
Very well kept campground. Staff was very very helpful and nice upon check-in. Used pool twice. Pool lacked sanitizer and water smelled liked sunscreen lotion. Trash containers were not convenient to the campsites. All 4 dumpsters were located at front and were overstuffed and overflowing. Campsites were roomy and not on top of one another. Good for big rigs.
I stayed at this campground with a group of friends and had a great time...that is, until I was leaving. The campground was great, big sites, clean facilities, fun stuff for the kids to do and it is in a great location, We spent one day at Mystic Seaport, the next at the aquarium, and then the rest of the weekend at the campground when our friends arrived. It was all good. I don't like to let one person ruin an experience for me, but since it was my last experience at the campground, I left with a really negative impression. There is a person at the desk, Jerry, I think, who should not be in any customer service position. He was extremely rude and even obnoxious. I don't want to go into all the details here, but management should take notice and move this person to a non-customer facing position. I will likely return to this campground, but if I have to deal with this man again, it will be my last visit.
Very nice campground and friendly staff. Close to Mystic and all to be seen in area. Only draw back I have is no sewer hookup , only dump station and pump outs for a charge. If we are back this way again, we will stay here. We tayed in a 44' class A.
Finely kept campground. Friendly staff. Close to Mystic and New London. Lots of nearby restaurants. No so much for shopping unless you like outlet shopping. Tanger outlets at Foxwoods casino 15 minutes away. I was worried about no sewer but the bathrooms were very clean. Reasons for 4 stars and not 5, bathrooms are very hot and wet and usually 10 degrees hotter than what it is outside and office hours need to be later. They need large box fans blowing in the bathrooms to keep the humidity and dampness down. Wifi was pretty good but streaming sites are blocked. I would stay again and would recommend.
A Sun Resort only has a dump site, but if you stay more than three days on Saturday they come and pump you out. Sites are large and swimming pool is nice. Staff really nice and very helpful.
Clean, protected, beautiful park, in a Great location. Short ride to the shoreline and the casinos, and an even shorter ride to wonderful Mystic CT
Great campground! The cleanest and most comfortable showers at any campground we've ever stayed at. Stayed 2 nights in June and would go back again. Site was nice and level. Not a lot of trees so privacy was minimal but everyone is very friendly. Pool was nice and clean. Owners and their pup, Cooper, were really welcoming and we even got some travel tips for the rest of our vacation. Highly recommend.
Skip is kind and personable. The grounds are clean, and trailers are emptied every 3 days. Grounds are clean and well laid out. The pool is gorgeous! Gym on site. Close to everything!
Unfortunately, not a great experience here for us. Hope you fare better than we did.
Nice flat pull-thru sites...but not a lot to do there...not cheap
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They took the time to answer all of our questions and showed us around. The grounds are nicely laid out, certainly appears to be a nice place to spend the season.
This was my first stay here and overall nice location and relaxing. Even though Covid is an issue I was very disappointed. I followed instructions about calling 15 minutes out. Was advise to just come into the office for check in. Arrived went in for check in give and signed everything. Drive to site and realize wrong keys! A little frustrating cause I did call previously to arriving. Very apologic staff. Walk into the rental RV and mini blinds broken, ac only really worked on high fan setting. Not vacuumed. Dried food left on the floor and elastc bands, (which is dangerous for my pup) soiled underwear left under the sink, sheet left on pull out couch. The rv felt like it was off balanced cause every movement someone made felt like I was on a boat. The Mattress could use an upgrade for sure. Hardly slept due to the uncomfortable beds.
Once some of these issues were pointed out by me to the staff. The staff was super great about fixing any issues that arise. Maria was awesome and Carissa I believe is her name. Will I return yes because it was a nice place and other amenities were clean and nicely cared for and my son liked it there. Hope second experience is better then the first.
This place is very unorganized. I will not be back. Trying to get into the pool was a nightmare. It should not be first come first serve. There should be reservations or something else. Their store closes at 5pm and is very small. And the pull thru sites are facing other campers. No privacy.. Definitely not worth $100 per night. Very disappointed in this campground. Would never recommend this anyone.
Nice campground with clean facilities. Close to major attractions. However, the staff was not friendly nor helpful when our awning broke and we asked for a ladder. They said we can t help. it s your RV, it s on you. At $100 per night, I don t expect free help with fixing it but I do expect a polite response to my inquiry and maybe a recommendation for a local repair service. Otherwise it s a good option for families staying short or long term.
One of our favorites of the 12 parks we stayed at. Their sites were roomie, and they have their act together. Would definitely stay again. They even do recycling and give you a gift of supplies to help with not spreading germs.
Great location near Mystic, CT. Lots to do in the area and at the resort. Level sites, quiet and clean. Very friendly staff who are serious about customer service.
Very clean, great bathrooms, free showers, nice pool, people are great. Prices a bit high.
Really enjoyed our first trip here. We will be coming back.
We had an amazing time! Every person we delt with was great the camper we rented was beautiful! We hope to be able to make it back very soon!
Clean, well kept... not very large but fun for the family
I was here for a week. This place has a really rare vibe, peaceful and relaxing even on the weekends. Very large campsites, the biggest I have seen since I was a kid. Staff is great, everything is well kept. If you are looking for peace and quiet than this is it. We went to the pool everyday and enjoyed all the extra space. I would stay here again.
Was a very nice visit staff was very nice and the place was clean but water pressure in ladies showers was poor
Best Campground in the mystic sea port area! I would recommend staying here for a week for a vacation for your kids. The facility is clean and has bathroom houses, bath houses, laundry house, campground convenient store, an arcade room with different game arcades and a pool table, and most importantly the swimming pool! The campground has your essentials including cable TV, free Wi-Fi (certainly not the best, but good for web browsing not the best with some streaming apps that are restricted like YouTube which is fine.) Sadly there isn't a dump station in the ground instead you have to pay a service that a person gets rid of grey water and black water in your waste tank which cost around $20. Overall a great campground.
This is a stylish resort with nice amenities. We would have liked a bit more shade and sites with sewers, but apart from that, it is a great campground.
Very nice campground. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Long and short term camper spots. Trees and a pond. Beautiful area
first time there. great staff!! Nice wide camping spots. one of the cleanest nicest campgrounds I have been to.
The Mystic Seaport RV resort has great proximity to Old Mystic and that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. We knew they didn't have sewer hookups going in and offered honey wagon service, so that was fine. No concrete pad, not even gravel was a disappointment. The absolute worst thing about this park was the amount of people who let their dogs roam around off leash. We had three separate incidents where leash free dogs approached us with our dogs leashed. We complained to the office and were told it was most likely the seasonal visitors, the office girls said they would talk to the people, if they did it didn't show. Maybe if the park invested in a fenced in off leash dog area there would be fewer people breaking the park rules. We won't be returning.
Very nice park, large, level sites, some shady. Nice pool, mini golf and other amenities. Beautiful dog park and nice laundry. Very lucky, a tree blew down in heavy rain, narrowly missed us and another RV, not so lucky, somebody actually stole 4 leveling blocks from our storage compartment. Lock up if you leave for the day!
Beautifully landscaped and very nice/helpful employees. Level sites and very popular.
This is a wonderful RV resort to stay! My family traveled from the Midwest to see my brother's sub come into port. The staff was happy and friendly, there's clean and clear pool, plenty of trees, and extremely clean bathrooms! 10/10 would stay again.
Horrible service. They were incredible rude. If we could have gotten our money back we would have left. We will pass the word and make sure to never visit this place again. We tried to check in 40 minutes early with the campground at very low capacity, our site was open & available but they wouldn t let us check in without paying an additional fee.
Need more stars, spent 3 months here by necessity, they were able accommodate us. Skip and Paul were sympathetic to our needs. Huge sites, immaculate restrooms and showers. Pure clean pool and surrounding areas. A relaxing and safe place to bring your family. Grounds are manicured and maintained daily. Staff are friendly and always there to help without reservation.
You can't find a better place to stay. Others I have visited were a disappointment. Thanks again Skip and Paul. I will be back.
Conveniently located, spacious level sites, staff friendly
One of the nicest RV parks we've been to...Bath house was extremely clean...staff was super nice and other...RV parks could learn how to treat new customers....Love this RV Park!
One of the best RV resorts i've been. Good staff, Awesome clean and big sites. I drive a 40ft RV and had enough space at my site to park my truck behind my RV. Excellent
Great campground. Friendly hosts. Nice and clean. Will camp here again.
Staff is extremely friendly and the campsites and amenities are clean and conveniently arranged. Minus one star because the WiFi will not stream video (e.g. YouTube) or Pandora.
This is our 1st time and it will not be our last! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS Number one! TOP shelf! In All Depts! Clean, safe, environment. Gate key access, Spa Quality bathhouses, Game room and outdoor games assortments. Miniature golf.tennis court, basketball court and a splash down pool! The fishing pond also. Even though no sewer hookup at sites they schedule your site for the portable honey pump and you can use the dump station on you way out..Let's not forget the location far back enough for the ultimate camping experience and lots of tourists attractions just minutes away!! They also offer Rv Rentals !!
Nice clean campground very large sites. Only set back is no sewage. Stayed 3 days 9/10/17
Appreciate how management believes in customer service and helping campers.
Excellent, family friendly Campground with several great amenities.
Great place for camping with it without an RV. Amazing community of people, close to fear site seeing and a friendly staff make this a great way to visit CT
Very nice campground and resort. Big sites both under trees and open. Management on site and keeps an eye on would-be partiers. Would return if coming this way.
