The staff, particularly the dining staff are exceptional. Some of the most caring individuals in the hospitality industry. Their pillow menu adds to the memorable experience, with my favorite being the body pillow (for its firmness). Amy in the spa is one of the best masseuses I've had and takes such great care. This space is tucked away for privacy and is serene despite being minutes away from the airport!

What NOT to do when planning a Cedarbrook Lodge ge...

What NOT to do when planning a Cedarbrook Lodge getaway:

1) Do NOT search Cedarbrook Lodge on Google and click on the first site that you see. This is NOT the official website and they will charge you $60 extra dollars that you will not see until after you have entered your card number and paid. Make sure that you have the LEGIT hotel website.

2) If you make the above mistake, do NOT call the front desk to ask to reschedule your reservation because of the unexpected snowstorm. She will give you the old because you booked with a third party we cannot cancel your reservation. You will tell her that you did not book with a third party but went directly to their website. She will tell you that the site where you booked is not their own but that they pay Google more money than we do so their website is first. She will also say that they do a great job making it look like our website.
She will tell you that you can call the other reservation company to see if they will let you cancel your reservation and then they will call the lodge to give them permission to cancel the reservation. Huh?

3) If you make the above two mistakes do NOT bother calling the third party reservation company because your call will be answered by a call center overseas and you will be unable to understand what she is saying due to the poor quality connection, the insane echo in the room, the motorcycles driving by on the street, and a lady yelling in the background. You will wait on hold listening to synth music for 30 minutes only to learn that the Cedarbrook Lodge was too busy checking in customers to take her call and, I believe, something about calling back in 30 minutes. Huh.

4) If you are hell-bent on making it to Cedarbrook Lodge in the snow, do NOT sacrifice life and limb to make your 5pm dinner reservation. You will call the Copperleaf Restaurant en route when you realize that digging your car out of a foot of snow, shoveling the driveway, sanding said driveway when just shoveling it is not enough, and then trying several times to successfully emerge has you behind in your schedule. The man who answers tells you he cannot push back your reservation. They won t let him because we have high turnover. Huh? So once you get to the highway you drive at insane speeds and miraculously make it just in time. Do NOT expect free parking. You will pay $20 to park your car and you will have to look for a parking spot not blocked with snow.

5) If you make all of the above mistakes, and are desperate to check in quickly to change and make it to your 5pm dinner reservation, do NOT think you can check in quickly. You will wait for eons. The line you are in will stretch the length of the lobby. Another woman at the front desk is looking very busy with paperwork until a group of flight attendants walk in and go around the line to the side of the check-in desk. Then she stops looking very busy with paperwork and immediately checks in the group of flight attendants. By the time we are helped two separate groups of flight attendants have come and gone. If you want fast service here- wear all black and skip the line by wheeling your little black carry-on to the side of the desk. But even IF it is faster service, do not expect it to be FRIENDLIER service. These two ladies are the least hospitable of hospitality staff.

6) Once you finally make it to the restaurant, with an outstanding Host do NOT expect things to improve. It is Valentine s Day so you will be handed a set 5 course menu at $145/each with wine pairings. Naturally, this was not on the fake website. You will be told that they have open seating and the regular menu in the bar. You wonder why they this open bar seating was not mentioned when you asked to push back your dinner reservation. You settle in the bar and order drinks and a meat and cheese plate. This appetizer never appears and you will be told several times that it will be out in a few minutes. When it comes out right before your dinner you are told it will not be on the bill. But naturally it is still on the bill. Huh.

This was out first visit to the hotel. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary. We made dinner reservations and was given the best seat in the house because of the occasion. Amazing service. I have never had food as delicious as this in my entire life. Our room was considered a deluxe king, however it was rather cramped. A huge plus was bottled water, cheese sticks, yogurt, chocolate covered raisins and malt balls, as well as ice cream: all you could want, included with the room rate in a common area fridge/freezer. Had difficulties in the morning waiting for more coffee to arrive as the phone was not connecting to the front desk, but I think that was our only issue. We will be going back as our own little getaway place.

I've only been to the spa and I love it. So relaxing and the staff is really nice. I feel care for whenever I go there and leave feeling amazing. My goal is to go there twice a year at least (when my budget can afford it.)

We hosted a professional event at this lovely space and are so pleased with how things turned out. It's a beautiful spot and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only challenge is with parking, as the visitors lot was full and our guests were confused. Other than that it was a great venue and we look forward to hosting another event there.

...began enjoying the relative 'luxury' of the CL since 2010. The complimentary NW-style breakfast buffet pairs up nicely with an always-great and comfortable room experience. The immediate surroundings have a relaxing quality, too, and hard to believe that SEA TAC is even so nearby!

Have had occasion to make use of the complimentary airport shuttle service (spending the night in CL sometimes beat driving down plus parkade fees, etc.)

Am a little disappointed at recent change to the supplied bath amenities featured as they include aloe vera (sorry but not user-friendly to this plant...)

Be on the lookout for their promo's and for those of you who haven't been here for awhile, the management have finally installed a so-relaxing outdoor hot whirlpool right off the well-maintained exercise room--plus there is now a new wing of gorgeous suites!...but beware of the complimentary snacks in the 'community living rooms', too (or you'll be needing to use that gym! :)

Lovely hotel grounds, great rooms. Family of 5 stayed comfortably. Have snacks in the"living rooms" ice cream at front desk. Pool closed due to CoVid, but that's expected. You do have to pay additional $20 for parking. Super close to airport, 5 mins drive. Very convenient.

Shout out to Jordan at the front desk and Evan at the bar. The epitome of hospitality!

Cedarbrook is my favorite secret in SeaTac. Great service, great food, nice rooms on a beautifully landscaped property tucked away behind the Doubletree and a residential neighborhood. I especially love the lounges with the variety of snacks and the freezer full of ice cream.

I have stayed here for years. But this time. Terrible. Stay downtown Seattle . At least there are good places to eat. I used to love eating at the Cedarbrook Lodge. I get that they can't serve breakfast you can't sit in common area etc. But no excuse for having basically expensive airport food. At 4 you can eat a very limited menu. I got an ok rate here..but so not worth it. Wish I had spend another night downtown. Stay downtown..good hotel prices and great restaurants. Ugh. So disappointing.

Modern, clean rooms. Professional, courteous staff. Snacks, breakfast, and airport transportation included. If you plan to use the free airport shuttle upon arrival, you must use the courtesy phone at the pickup location across the sky bridge from baggage claim (which rings directly through to the shuttle driver's mobile). Attempting to call the hotel main number is not as reliable. For airport departure transportation, sign up at the front desk in advance. The shuttle leaves every 30min.

The hotel is very nice. My wife took her lover there. She came home tired, so I imagine she had a really good time. She's been emotionally distant ever since. I suspect she feels guilty. I would have to go myself but she moved out last night.

Waiting should be this hotel s middle name. At the airport, I waited for their shuttle. At the hotel, I waited in a line to check in. I waited to order a glass of wine. I was put on hold when I called the front desk with a question. And finally, when I went outside the next morning at 6:27, there was a line of 10 or more people WAITING for the driver of the 6:30 shuttle. At 6:29, I went in to ask. He s coming right now, they said... but then he had to load all the bags. Cedarbrook Waiting Hotel. Will not be back.

Pros:

Pros:
Nice grounds, complimentary breakfast, complimentary coffee, yougurt and ice cream all day!

Cons:
-They charged my credit card by mistake for the whole stay, even though my stay was fully prepaid, then released it after I noticed (takes days from the bank before returning to my balance).

-I had issues with a slow draining sink that was fixed partially, and a non-working safe that wasn't fixed.

Found this place on Travelocity. Needed a hotel for the night to welcome some friends to Washington and this hotel and grounds were above expectations. Beautiful hotel and rooms. Very comfortable and accommodating for two couples. The gathering space had plenty of snacks and water to enjoy. Breakfast was included in our room price and it was delicious. Definitely will stay at again if we are in the area. The only downside was that overnight parking was extra.

Awesome views and nice rooms, however the restaurant needs some serious work. We waited over an hour to get our order taken and we kept sending back food because the kitchen can't follow instructions. Definitely take the hotel, but go elsewhere for food.

I would give the place 5 stars but...

The restaurant was incredible, great ambiance, the menu is a little daunting but our waitress Piper did an amazing job explaining it and giving us really good recommendations. Piper gave us excellent service and we will definitely be coming back to the restaurant to see her and try more amazing food! The rooms are quaint, big soaking tub was nice. Sheila at the front desk started our stay off with a dirty taste in our mouths, she was not very friendly and was not helpful AT ALL. She said there was a parking fee but did not say how much it was, she didn't understand when I asked if our room had a larger than normal tub, and she failed to mention that downstairs in the spa you can make your own complimentary bath salts. She also didn't tell us our room number and wrote two different numbers on the paper with the room keys so we had to guess which room was ours. I've stayed here before and the gentleman that was at the desk during my first stay was awesome, he changed my room and told me about the soaking tub, gave us a history on the cedarbrook lodge and told us about all of the complimentary items and extras! Sheila should not be at the front desk.

Have stayed twice. First time, two years ago was excellent. Good quality food and service, beautiful grounds. This time, upon check-in, I found my room and bathroom were dirty. The room had obviously been flipped, but there hadn't been a lot of attention to cleaning, and there were what looked to be blood (!) stains on the wall in the shower. Alerted front desk about this over the phone and again in person. Went to a meeting and got back at almost midnight to find... no one had come to clean the room. Called again, and was brushed off by front desk saying "someone has been by two times, the stains are permanent and in the grout." I got off the phone and went to the shower with a wet tissue... it came right off. Called AGAIN, they agreed to send the night maintenance person down and he finished cleaning it up for me. Wasn't offered a new room or any sort of apology, really, except from the maintenance guy, who had no fault in the situation. The staff I spoke on the phone with sounded inconvenienced by my requests for attention to this issue. I wouldn't really expect a roadside highway motel to have these sort of problems, let alone a hotel touting itself as four-star.

If you have to spend the night near Seatac this is it. It has the feel of a mountain lodge. Nice rooms, beautiful bar and restaurant. Prices are in line with other hotels around here but this place is so much better then the big chains. We stay here regularly on early flights out. I recommend it highly!
