Yes, their products are expensive, yes, it s a bit hipster focused. However, their core products, and their new work focused line, are very well made products. The staff here were super friendly. Offered us some beer, gave us lots of suggestions on where to go for lunch and drinks. Thanks to their staff, I will be visiting this location again for all my future needs.

CC Filson
This is a review for the Rugged Twill Computer Bag that I have owned for two years. First, I wrote an in-depth review of the product for the Filson website. An email was sent to me requesting that I verify my review. To my surprise the review never posted to the website--that is one way to control product critiques! A word of caution: when writing a review for the Filson website an email will be sent to you to verify your review. Once verified your review is no longer visible in the email so you will have to re-type your review. This seems like another deliberate way to dissuade unflattering reviews. Second, the Filson "guarantee" is absolute rubbish. After less than one year of use Filson refused to refund my purchase or issue a store credit. The bag has several critical design flaws that limit its functionality. It is astronomically priced given its average quality and poor real-world performance. While the bag is attractive the cotton twill is thin. The unstructured internal organization is disappointing. As the internal dividers to do not extend to the top of the bag it is common for materials to spill and move from one compartment to another. The shoulder strap is ornamental and too thin. As another reviewer pointed out, the shoulder strap holes are punched too low, so that when the strap is shortened it is still too low on the hip. The design flaw that was the deal breaker--had Filson honored their guarantee and accepted my return--is the strap attachment. The center of gravity is so low that when the bag is loaded and picked up it rotates and the contents empty! That is to say when you pick the bag up it often turns upside down and empties out. Overall a disappointing product which was eclipsed by Filson's exaggerated "guarantee".
The original. The tough stuff. Made for hard men. Hard work . Bulletproof....or darn close. Best wool. Strong dusters. Great oilcloth. The original
An institution here in Seattle since the late 1800s. PNW high quality outdoors clothing & bags. Expect flawless attention from the very knowledgeable staff.
Joey and the team here are super personable and helpful! Great location!
Lots of outdoor, hunting clothing and stylish outdoor wear!
This is a great store if you're a Filson fan or just a fan of great, (mostly) made in USA outdoor apparel. At minimum it's a great shop to browse with interesting stuff. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. They also have unique stuff that is sometimes only carried at this Ballard location.
Awesome store, classic brand, great staff. A buddy and I cruised past the other weekend and was greeted with a whiskey while we browsed. Hung out with the shopkeep, Joey for a solid 15mins after purchase. Really great experience!
Insanely accommodating staff. I had a jacket held for me here and it was ready to go. Joey was so friendly and helpful. We even hung around for a beer. Highly recommended location.
Just an awesome experience. Very cool and very real. The gear I bought looks great and feels quality. This store is a must visit, even if you're not planning to buy anything.
Mostly great products, but dishonest when taking critical feedback. I came to Google Reviews to see if others had similar experiences and my suspicions were confirmed. I had provided them an honest review of a product which never posted to the product page. I even inquired to Customer Service why it had not been posted and no one responded. Edit: About six weeks later, after having followed up again and this time questioning the company's integrity, I received a reply and an explanation that my review had been "flagged for profanity". Impossible and likely flagged because it was 3 stars. But, hey, they stood up and now the review is posted. So, I give them a star back.
A staple in the PNW. Loving the collab with the National Parks and Smokey the Bear. The friendly shopkeep even shared a glass of whiskey with us while we shopped!
Excellent sports apparel and gear selection at good prices. Personally, I like to go here to shop because it's laid back, they have a childrens play area/lounge with couches and the staff is friendly and professional. Dogs used to be allowed, which was even better, but some whiny, anti-dog loser complained and threatened to sue so now the puppies are relegated to waiting outside. I think I'll go there today!
Hand written card and excellent service from the manager of the store. Pricey goods, but worth it for the quality and service! Thanks for the smokey shirt again!
If you re in Seattle or Ballard for that matter you have to go to this shop. Amazing products aside, the staff is incredible and genuine!
Cute small store in Ballard. It is definitely not as stocked and big as the main store in Sodo
Customer experience was great. Just wish they had more options that did not fit huge.
This Filson location was really fun! Loved all the Ballard specific items! All the employees were really friendly and helpful.
I choose to go to this range not just because of the location and price, customer service is great every time I go! Phil and Che are always helpful, friendly and professional.
A beautiful store oozing with quality in product and staff.
