Great salad and sandwich with a nice bottle of wine. Great service!
Great salad and sandwich with a nice bottle of wine. Great service!
Sunday night at the bar, wonderful live music great way to end the weekend.
Beautiful setting. Fantastic views. Good places to eat and drink. A unique gift shop. Real cool lodging. Super expensive. We go hiking in Marin and then have lunch there. Outdoor seating. Lots of fun.
The room, the view, the service, the food... everything was spectacular!
Five Stars. Did a walk thru for potential wedding . Lovely property. Dining:
You can dine on the patio or more elegantly inside. Wonderful service - outstanding menu! Have had lunch inside numerous times. Impeccable - and delicious.
Last time - outside: a mom and new baby and carriage and dog off leash sat next to us, her on the phone...we should have moved...Other that than - one of Marin's very finest.
Watched guests kids for a few hours at the lodge. The rooms are very well layed out and are nice. Perfect for a family visit
Gorgeous facility, fabulous customer service, and GREAT SPA SERVICE!!!
My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night and overall had a great time. The room was very comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. The only negative we experienced was upon check-in. Our room which was guaranteed to be ready at 4 p.m was not actually given to us until 5 p.m. We then had to rush to make our dinner reservation at 5:45.
One of the best spots in the Bay area. Lunch or brunch with a view. Weekend getaway. Excellent meeting services for work events.
The location is perfect with incredible views. Saw both the contemporary and historic rooms - different but both lovely. Cannot wait to go back!
If you have the chance to do a tour with Brit..do it..amazing hotel..amazing tour and history.
We just visited the grounds for"bff night" it is a beautiful place
Reception service could be far better and improved for the services and staff at reception is less Friendly for the money we are paying for stay
I'm giving five stars for the category of historic lodge. Not an expert in this category, but it was by far the best of the few that I've stayed at over the years. What a beautiful location and so close to SF. Rooms were quite elegant. Food was great, but you've got some pretty stiff competition across the bay. People were great. Ideal for that quick weekend getaway where your looking to shed some stress. Oh, and for that extra stress relief, they have a very nice spa service too.
Very well appointed accomodations of ranging sizes up to a full house. Top notch service. Fantastic views and hikes. A true Bay Area gem.
Lodge is open. Staff has been great. If you need to escape the city this is the place to come to.
This is a gem of a hotel hidden away twenty minutes across the golden gate bridge. Away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic a good nights sleep with peace and quiet walk outside breathe pure air straight off the oceon stay here and revive your will to live.
No place better to look at San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. When it gets just a little too cold, go into Murray Circle for a cocktail and a bite to eat.
Very attentive staff, great rooms, clean, all of the amenities, nice restaurant and bar on the premise. Free wine upon arrival was a nice experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a small getaway
Beautiful views of the GG Bridge, spacious rooms that feel like mini apartments and lovely staff! A jewel in Sausalito!
very nice service and food. the room service food was great but a little cold as they have many buildings and have to bring them quite far. overall it was great.
Very nice, beautiful view, good food and excellent service
Amazing view, great history, phenomenal fish tacos and outstanding service provided by Fredric! Go!
such a great experience, very nice hotel, highly recommended
Great place with a great view. Just be aware that the pictures show a view of the Golden gate Bridge but your room isn't actually with a view. That requires a huge upgrade free. Also, the fitness room costs more even though there is already a resort fee. The pastries at breakfast were good and the staff was friendly.
TREASURE Fabulous restaurant, old time bar, and one of the most incredibly beautiful settings imaginable.
Quiet and secluded room with spectacular views and great staff. Who needs more than that?
The lodge is situated at Fort Baker so it's very spread out. I was attending a meeting and our meeting room was the old chapel. It was a bit difficult to find the building. But it was a great setting and the view was amazing. It was my first visit, so I'm not used to the layout, which is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating.
nice place to stop for a great view of the bay and sf
Resort was beautiful. Rooms are beautiful. View is beautiful. Totally recommend it
Spent the day at Cavallo Point Spa, gorgeous grounds & view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the Marin side of the bay. Started off with yoga and the rest of the day enjoying the Spa, wonderful service and so relaxing can't wait to go back oh and their fish tacos are the best
Recently had lunch outside on the porch. Fortunately there were heaters aglow to warm us. Super Duper windy. Excellent menu ..great service.. delicious food-per usual.
( AND: Based on cocktails on the porch: Divine. The view! Love to come here with a date and enjoy the view, happy hour and lovely location.)
There was a very handsome and kind young man at the gate to welcome and advise us re parking...
The food is incredible. The staff is friendly, service is fast, and the COVID protocol is great. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place with amazing views. I was lucky to be there on a clear day and could see the SF skyline. The place is meticulously maintained, the rooms are old and creaky, but it has been restored beautifully. The only negative thing about the room was the shower head. The water sprayed everywhere, and the pressure was low.
Beautiful views. Shower/bath had limited hot water though.
Best place we have stayed in! Wonderful views, superb customer service and the bar and restaurant are phenomenal.
Great location. Lovely restaurant and bar. Excellent food.
Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge, lovely, comfortable rooms, attentive service & delicious food. A wonderful getaway.
Bar is fantastic. Delicious food and the extensive wine list can't be beat.
Beautiful grounds and lovely views with fresh clean ocean breezes. Attentive staff once assistance is requested. It was nice to bring our family dog and find a pet friendly resort with comfortable accommodations and nice outdoor areas for walking. The location of this resort is everything.
While unpacking, we discovered a used washcloth and what looked like a used wet toilet wipe stuffed into a drawer in the bathroom. The front desk apologized when notified and sent housekeeping who let themselves in with a key and apparently walked in to the bathroom and removed it. My 12 year old witnessed the incident and said the housekeeper apologized and then left. No further action was taken. Seriously?? This incident left us with a bad opinion of the overall service and facility.
This resort has been on my list of must stay, but after the wash cloth incident it is unlikely we'll return.
Really enjoyed our time here, with the cooking class, twice in a week... they did not blink an eye with our two dogs (new puppy) and we had a great time. The location is special to us and the whole place exceeds our expectations each time.
Beautiful location, next to the Golden Gate bridge. Easy to hike up there. The rooms are nice and spacious with a nice fireplace. I highly recommend staying here.
Fantastic resort right beneath the Golden Gate Bridge!
Loved the staff, very prompt service and the shuttle to Sausalito ferry and back was my favorite
View of Golden Gate Bridge. Fine accommodations, spa and dining all together. Good Sunday brunch.
The historic room was inviting and the views were like the brochure's! This photo shows the view from INSIDE room 702, so you can imagine it from the porch or from any of the short walks.
Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay!
This place is great! Views are wonderful, service is incredible, and overall, it's very relaxing.
Internet here is terrible though. Should be world-class considering proximity to Silicon Valley.
Beautiful spot, clean. Great for a small conference!
Awesome place. Plenty of character in the historic buildings (be sure to ask), comfort and class. Plus, they have plenty of locations to charge my electric car.
Great food, scenery and service. Highly recommended.
Amazing views, dog friendly and, while not cheap, reasonably priced.
We had dinner at Chef Tony Adams "Chef's Counter" last night. It was one of the most amazing experiences ever. The Cavallo Point Cooking School offers this once a month for 6 people only.
It's a 3 hour dining adventure where you are treated like royalty while Chef Tony prepares all courses in front of you, explaining everything he is doing and carrying on a conversation with the guests.
Tony's passion for food and outgoing personality is infectious and the food, well, it's unique and unlike anything I've ever tasted. He spends over 2 weeks planning the menu for this one evening a month.
Stunning. If you have the opportunity to attend, take it!
Absolutely amazing! This is one of those places you don't want to miss. Me and my boyfriend stayed for our anniversary and we can't wait to go back.
Went for breakfast with family and friends, the service was very good and so was the food but they didn't have any English breakfast tea or similar and the tables on the veranda were far too small for 4 people.
Great views, the bar area is my favorite area and super chill. Food is about medium priced but seems pretty good for that area.
One of the very finest hotels in the bay if not the world. Such a hidden gem. Well worth the drive just for lunch in the restaurant if not a weekend getaway or vacation. The peacefulness is striking given it's proximity to San Francisco. With amazing views of the Golden Gate and the city. Breathtaking.
Feels like you (and your dog) are stepping back in time. Incredible location.
Fantastic Service and great food. View of San Francisco is by far the best.
Beautiful resort in Sausalito. Amazing view of both the bay bridge and golden gate. They have various Lexus vehicles that you can borrow for a night out or to drive into the city. The rooms have fire places and the valet and service is incredible.
I was there for a spa day & lunch. Fantastic & I can't wait to return! I love leaving the city for a day vacation.
We have dined in the spectacuar restaurant numerous times - each time over the moon, fabulous meals and superior service.( Except the one waiter /porch/ who complained how hard he worked) Did a walk through of the property witht the mother of the bride...looked at sleeping rooms and function space. Impressive - sleeping rooms seemed very cold and austere.Function space was lovely.
Would return at the drop of a hat. Love drinks on the porch at sunset... Heard the spa is great.Really One of Marins' Top Three Restaurants.
Wonderful retreat for peace and vacation when in SF. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great views and great spa. Restaurant was slow.
Idyllic location. Was there for a business meeting and it couldn't be a better location. The room and the food were great. Not sure how much it cost since I was a guest at the meeting, but would definitely suggest checking it out as an option for just about anyone.
Highly recommended.
If the atmosphere is great, we recommend a good walk
This is a wonderful place to stay for the weekend. The amenities are numerous and the views from the rooms are spectacular. If you can, get one of the officers quarters for a spacious stay.
We visited for lunch and had an issue where the host seated an angry customer who was after us on the wait list ahead of us. We had 3 children under 2, so ended up having to leave without lunch as a result. We did enjoy a cocktail on their porch, which was beautiful.
