If I am on a business trip in Germany, I can only consider a Marriot hotel. I know the houses in Berlin and Hamburg. Excellent, always gladly booked by me. Deserved 5 stars, absolute luxury. You deal with business customers in a competent and exemplary manner.
Keep it up, always happy ...

Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Berlin. I fell down the stairs when I was at the hotel, the hotel staff was very helpful, then set up a wheelchair for me and then followed my health every day. I would like to thank everyone for their friendly and caring team.

There is nothing to say - a high standard hotel in a great location. A few minutes from the Brandenburg gate. A train station for Potsdam pay is next to the hotel. Comfortable rooms. Good breakfasts.

Very nice, clean hotel in a prime location. Staff is super friendly. Special requests are also no problem here. Every single employee is there with .
Breakfast and bar are great. The steak restaurant belonging to the house is the Oberhammer.
You'd love to come back there.

Top notch room and service quality. Impeccably kept lobby, rooms are equally clean and neat and the beds very comfortable. Some rooms have showers that guests should take care exiting, since they're above the floor a good eight inches or more. The daily breakfast is outstanding even if a bit pricey at 30 -- but you'll find plenty to fit any palate. Also, it's right next to the S-Bahn station and bus stops, so it's incredibly convenient. This is my go-to place when I need to stay in town.

Great hotel: very friendly welcome, beautiful lobby, spacious room with 2 queen-size beds, bathroom with walk-in shower
The location at Potsdamer Platz is excellent, you can get everywhere quickly even without a car, on foot it is just 10 minutes (max) to the Brandenburg Gate.
We look forward to our next visit

Stayed here for a few days. Staff were friendly and polite, they seemed to take things seriously which was good. Breakfast was decent and hotel is in good condition overall. We had a very nice newly refurbished room.

I am in Berlin several times a month for work and have regularly tried out dozens of hotels.
I don't need much in a hotel:
- service
- internet
- Nice rooms / beds
- Breakfast

All of this is consistently top notch at the Marriott and they offer a lot more.

Absolute recommendation.

Service unreliable

Service unreliable
The hotel, which is very well located and has beautiful rooms, disappointed me on the last day of my stay and leads to the conclusion that the service is not taken very seriously.
But first the positive:
+ Super fast wifi
+ Nice bathroom with a very comfortable, large shower
+ enough elevators to avoid long waiting times
+ friendly staff
About my negative experiences:
-Restaurant had private company, but no notice at the entrance of the restaurant. After a friendly hint from the service in the restaurant back to the room, but no menu in the room: Hotel service number called "Card comes immediately". Waited 10 min. Nothing. Called again, waited another 10 minutes until the card was finally in the room. Ordered food. All in all, it took me over an hour to get something to eat.
- I ordered express check-out via the hotel service number because I had to go to the airport very early. Was not executed. Had to get up earlier in the morning (after having to be up late in the evening due to late meals) to check out. When checking out then "system crash" of the hotel computer system. No bill. Had to wait longer. Taxi outside was waiting with the clock running. Ok, we'll send the invoice out by email today ... until you don't get an email the next day. Then had to ask again by phone. "Email goes out immediately", waited 1 hour, checked spam email, nothing. Then called again. Very friendly answer that I would have my bill within the next half hour.
- Room doors jam and close incredibly difficult and only with swing. The loud bang is certainly not what the neighbors like. What is more, this also raises questions about security if the doors are not reliably self-closing.
- All in all, I would have expected more professional service from a chain like Marriott. Check-in and check-out takes significantly longer compared to other hotels. As a result, queues tend to form at reception.
I'll be back at a Marriott Hotel in California in two weeks. Let's see if there is better service there, or if I will avoid the chain in the future.

oh, the review is read? !

oh, the review is read? !
Pleasing, yes, we have also been guests at the Marriott many times, and we think it's the chicest upstairs with lounge access and a view of the room towards the memorial.
The location is cool, of course, and the staff were friendly and courteous, so we don't understand some of the criticisms here.
It is a pity that the quality of the breakfast both in the lounge and downstairs in the main restaurant is industrial and very poor. Sausage and cheese supermarket quality and bread and rolls safely only from Aldi. Scrambled eggs from the can, that there is still one, we thought that was forbidden for a long time.

We have - I don't know where from - a few more vouchers for the breakfast buffet at the Marriott, but whether we will redeem them is not yet certain. Oh yes, there is also a good breakfast in the Hotel Wasserturm in Cologne, but we usually get fresh bread from the nearby Merzenich bakery. The front desk rolls its eyes, but they do it anyway.
Marriott, we'd love to come back, but please work on the quality of the breakfast menu and also on freshly fried and grilled food in the lounge.

Rooms are lovely, spacious and quiet but constant queue at the front desk which is badly undermanned for the level of business it gets. Means a 5-10 minute wait for any request (extra keys etc.) Location of the hotel is excellent.

Hotel is old and dated with items like mini bar and in room safe too old to function. Public areas were very nicely renovated. Don t bother paying extra for the lounge access as the food selection is poor, pastries are stale, and you can t even take coffee out with you from the lounge. Concierge is almost never at their desk and when they are, not very helpful.

We were received very nice.
Room was clean and very quiet.
It has from time to time from the bathroom a "gurgling" heard, but only with the door open.
Toilet paper could have a better quality, the rest was top.

Business hotel, central location and quite neat. Parking just too expensive, in the nearby side streets is usually another opportunity. Lounge on the 10th floor, drinks free, food of medium quality, mostly microwave heated. Offered scrambled eggs not fresh, but from metro boxes gequirllt, bread and rolls and pies almost inedible and sticky. Breakfast on the ground floor is more extensive. Staff really accommodating. International guests, but often do not know European behavior.

Stunning hotel if you wanna come to Berlin. The location is perfect! Easy to walk to Brandenburger gate, big park, the Berlin Mall, Potsdamer platz, the public transportation and other places. The staff really friendly and the room is simple and clean! And of course great breakfast! Really recommended!

Clean and in a great location. The Marriott is within walking distance of major attractions and there are enough nearby restaurants, cinemas or malls for entertainment and shopping. The mobile check-in via App (also works as a room key) was wonderful, very friendly, courteous staff. The only downside: in today's digital age I would like to have free sockets on the bed. Otherwise very much again.

It was okay. The room was nice but other than that, the toilet seat was dirty. The bed shook everytime the room next door closed their door or window. Moreover the menu was over price, 20 for a simple veggie wrap. We told reception about the state of the room, it was met by a sorry.
Will not be staying their next time.

The best hotel in this area (with the exception of the Ritz ) .Breakfast is gigantic and delicious. Rooms are clean and all staff friendly. Feasible wishes are fulfilled. If we are back in Berlin then 100% of this hotel.

Great business hotel, a very comfortable place with great service and care, especially for elite members.
The rooms and amenities are very good.
The lounge has great views and a good selection of snacks and entrees.
The only aspect that could improve is the fitness area, the gym is very basic and the swimming pool is mostly a big bath tub.
Nonetheless still a great choice

Well, I expected more from a 5 star hotel. The room was quite passable. The advantage was that it is located directly on Potsdamer Platz and much of it is within walking distance. The hotel bill and the beverage bill from the restaurant were not right, only after request was improved.

A very good hotel in the city center close to the Brandenburg Gate. Clean well-appointed rooms. The first impression when we went to the hotel, a very nice gentleman appeared, who took the luggage and took care of the car.
Bar with good music and sufficient volume so you can talk in peace. Very good wine and drinks, professional service.
Breakfast is good, but the cook must be sent to the Marriott in Warsaw to learn how to make eggs in the Benedictine style.

I'm a lifetime Platinum Elite. 1) Asked for a room upgrade. Employee said it was already a king upgrade which was the same as my travel partner received without an upgrade. I had to get a manager involved to push it and was provided a suite. This shouldn t have to happen.
2) Lack of recognition for Platinum Elite I never, every had this happen. I stayed more than 750 nights.

Christoph Flaggl, Director of Rooms Division contacts me with this resolution, which is unacceptable given I had asked for points compensation...."Please contact me on your next trip to Berlin and I will be happy to arrange your booking and welcome you in person. This is not acceptable.
