The location of Marriott Berlin is average, but the executive suite has unlimited drinks and beverages, because during the new crown period, the room has breakfast and dining car service, the bathtub is a bit small, there is no bath salt, the shower has an electronic touch screen adjustment system for water temperature, there is no Japanese toilet, iron and ironing board quality Not bad, but the newly renovated bathroom has no drawers, so the hair dryer, slippers, bathrobes are all in the bedroom closet, and the living room has a minibar, but the decoration style is the same as the bathroom, there is no drawer to install the wine opener, and finally found on the bedside table in the bedroom. The parking fee is five euros per hour and 38 euros per night. There is no elevator. You need to walk along the circling lane to the hotel. Overall, it is acceptable, but because the surrounding scenery is average, we decided to change to the opposite of Museum Island.

There are many places in Berlin you can stay, but if you're looking for a central location, this Potsdam Platz location is superior. You're steps away from the S & U Bahn, restaurants, cafes and the Mall of Berlin which according to a brochure, has 300 shops. I was in part of the mall where there are two supermarkets and a drug store. You can't beat the convenience!

This Marriott hotel is beautiful. More of a business hotel than leisure. Don't let that stop you. I was here for leisure travels. The decor is modern/contemporary with a slight Art Deco appeal. I didn't have much staff interaction except for check-in and obtaining a copy of my bill before check-out. I would of rated this hotel "excellent," but the person checking us in didn't seem very welcoming and had a slight attitude.

On the plus side of staying here, our standard room was a great size based on other European hotels I've stayed at. The room has all the standard amenities including a safe and mini-refrigerator. The bathroom had a rain shower or regular shower head. Something minor, but I always appreciate, is the ease of using the A/C thermostat. Some other hotels have a complicated system.

Amenity wise, I enjoyed the free use of computers to print off my boarding pass in the business center. Additionally, I used the gym one time. It's of average size with mostly cardio equipment, a few free weights and a multi exercise machine. There are a few exercise mats and it's open 24 hours. Even though I didn't use the in-door pool, it looked beautiful.

There were a few times I interacted with staff via the Marriott mobile app for housekeeping, general questions and check-out. Each time I received an instant response. Great job with that! I hope to return to Berlin in the future and will gladly book this hotel again.

To cool his medication, my husband took a bottle from the fridge. He had not read the sign that after removal the object is calculated. The minibar was so full that only by taking something fit into it. At the reception, however, this was quickly fixed. Good sleeping comfort, quiet, lots of space and a pleasant ambience.

Perfect location. Good room rates. Friendly staff!

Rooms are clean and well furnished.
The saune relaxing area is on the pool which is too loud when people swim!
There is no water dispenser at the sauna and the infrared area!

We were (at least privately) the second time here and every time again very satisfied. Very nice staff and fantastic rooms. The location is perfect for a private trip, sightseeing, as well as for a business trip. We will be back.

The hotel has a great executive lounge. Food and drinks, with a full meal served at dinner. Worth gaining access. The location is central, but not near walking distance to anything interesting other than a mall and the cinema.

Very hard to find when walking from the main road but great location once you figure it out. Excellent executive lounge with free beer and wine in the evenings for elite members and nice food selection. Quiet, big rooms.

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIR ven. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!

I had a very pleasant stay, staff is nice & helpful and beds are very comfortable. Location is perfect, close to varieties of restaurants and cafes. I would definitely return to this hotel should I return to Berlin.

I really like being a guest at the Marriott as a Berliner: The Midtown Grill restaurant has always been top, has been great quality for years, and the Big Dog with its hot dog specials is always delicious (really great for the small appetite, the cheesecake also super delicious, I love it!). But where I was very disappointed the other day was the lobby bar ... Long waits until the bartender came at all and detached himself from the cell phone (there was really hardly anything going on), drinks then took even longer and were loveless to the top or not decorated at all ... This is denial to the guest! And I've seen the same drinks there in perfection. So pure disappointment, and also pay 14 / drink for it ... Too bad lobby bar, I prefer to go over to the Ritz for a well-rounded evening ...

Outstanding experience. Super friendly and attentive staff members. Came here for breakfast, arrived at 10 and stayed for couple of hours. Coffe is high quality, fresh orange juice. Order the Benedict egg, is not on the buffet table. Pretzels are great and mustard with honey is yummy.

Despite the difficult conditions due to Covid-19, a very pleasant and relaxed stay. Thanks to the extremely professional and friendly staff, the necessary hygiene measures were never disruptive. The atmosphere at the Midtown Grill was great and the dinner was a real treat. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and here, too, it was particularly important to emphasize how friendly and customer-oriented the operating staff were and responded to our requests.

Room facilities are quite good, beds are great just like the shower. The only problem was that I booked a room with a panoramic city view, but got a room with a view of the other side of the hotel, so no city view NIX.

Who would order a bathrope and wait for it? You just open the closet and take it when just need it. I don t like hotels suddenly being environmentalists when they end up cutting costs. Leave a bathrope and a note and let the people decide if they want to go enviromentally friendy.

Written from the point of view of a first time vis...

Written from the point of view of a first time visitor to Berlin from Canada I'll share my notes.

The Marriott is situated very nicely in close walking distance with the Mall of Berlin and the Arkade Mall. You'll notice that the Canadian Embassy is literally across the street, and the US and UK Embassies further down the road.

You will have easy access to grocery stores and some of the best food you can think of even at the food court in the Mall of Berlin. As an aside, there are mostly ladies posted at washrooms who expect to be paid 0.50 to help keep up the space. Every time I've had to use the washrooms I felt confident that they were well cleaned. You should be ready with some change.

This particular Marriott is quiet. Even during gusty weather, you can hardly hear the outside at all. The staff are nice enough and the interior is very clean and presentable. There's a quality here in Germany that I can't put my finger on but the people are reserved. This quality carries through the entire hotel. Definitely unlike any Marriott you can find in Asia or North America, and this is neither good nor bad.

In my particular room they need to install some rubber or silicone under the doors to the showers. The materials are good and pleasing to the eye, but water splashing around leads to pooling in the washroom space.

That said the housekeeping staff have an incredible sense of detail. They will change your toilet paper roll even if you haven't finished it, and they'll change out your shampoo and toiletries to fresh ones. Bless them for that.

I'll point out that the Air Con is markedly less strong than other countries. This may be a national green initiative. You'll find the same elsewhere. You can crank the AC to full power and it's no where close to where I expect it to perform.

All in all even the staff try to be aware of the cultural differences and try to accommodate to an extent.

Very best hotel and also close to subway station. Staffs very friendly. I am highly recommend this hotel. Also their food not expensive. If you stay in there , most guess including the buffet breakfast. Their buffet has lot of choice it seems only 20 Euro each. It's very good price.

I stay at many Marriott hotels around the world. The Marriott Hotel in Berlin is one of the best in this hotel group. The breakfast is very good. The lounge is outstanding. (Good selection of food and drinks, great view over Berlin u.v.m.). The location is central, near Potsdamer Platz. The staff is very friendly and helpful, although often many guests are there.

The location is very good- 10 min walk from Brandenburg Gate- and spacious room. The staff is a little bit snobbish and we also almost lost our luggage. They didn't put it in our room and had to go down to look for it.

My daily in is Sofitel Berlin. However I couldn t book a room this time and booked here alternatively. Will compare service with Sofitel Berlin. Amenities are pretty poor. Slipper is not default equipped. You have to order it when you check in. When I checked in reception proposed me per 3 days room cleaning to earn their points. But of course you can request cleaning every day by their app. Their default service is exchange bed sheet per 3 days. However you can submit full cleaning via their app. Many systems are automated in this hotel. So first time pretty take a time to get used it. What is great point is their executive lounge service. Some foods are provided every morning. I think here is best lounge as I know.

Hotel staff is not well trained need to improve some point.

- when I got elevator with two large luggage and going down to ground floor elevator was stopped at 4th floor and the staff to get elevator with handcraft for luggage. I this case he should be wait next elevator. However he got elevator even though there was enough space.
- during check out reception staff prior internal process and I was waited more than 5 min. I never experienced such impolite behavior when I stayed another hotel.

Except lounge service service level is lower than Sofitel hotel.

The Marriott Hotel in Berlin is one of the most beautiful hotels in the capital. Large rooms are not uncommon in Berlin, but in combination with the tasteful decor but exceptional. The breakfast is excellent, but if not included in the rate is disproportionately expensive. In this case, not recommended. Wellness area including swimming pool and sauna good, but not exceptional. In sum, but a round thing. No real criticisms, therefore 5 *.

I would say this hotel is one of my favorite hotel from this brand, you will get an access to their executive lounge as a Titanium level and get an upgrade to one of their concierge rooms. The downside was the service in the lounge is very slow as they have very high occupancy of guests. Nevertheless it is worth your money! Thank you Marriott.

As always, we felt very comfortable. The only thing that was really bad again this time: that is the service in the lobby bar.We had very slow or no service here on the day of arrival in a larger group and on the day of arrival in a small group it was bad again . On both days only 2 other tables were occupied, we didn't understand ?! Otherwise it was generally very great in the hotel as always.
