The organization is truly dedicated to their mission: they champion the positive development of children and adults, strengthen families, and build community. They gracefully walk the difficult line between prioritizing care and staying true to their values. Multiple programs providing comprehensive services are offered by a diverse group of professional staff and earnest volunteers. I am thrilled about the value and presence of CCS here. Highly recommend whatever need you may have!

The foster parents certified should not be, as is the program as a whole which does not provide a service to the youth it is designed to support. A waste of tax payers money. The therapist did not provide a support or aid in mitigating my depression or anxiety.

I've been connected with CCS for more than 20 years, first as a volunteer and board member. It is an honor to be associated with the good-hearted people who work there. The focus is on a person or community's strengths rather than disease, disability and disfunction. They work to shore up the voluntary support of family, friends and neighbors, which is how we all stay healthy - through safe, stable, nurturing relationships. I am connected to their Safe Families for Children network, which works through local faith communities and neighbors to support parents in crisis before their kids are taken into protective custody and foster care. Yesterday, an email came through about a mom with a young baby near me who was suffering from depression and needed respite. These requests come in and are answered regularly with no fan fare, only love. I'm so grateful for the staff and volunteers who knit a safety net for families like these.

My experience with this state and federal funded p...

My experience with this state and federal funded program has not been helpful. I am currently being prevented from accessing safe, secure affordable housing due to their polices that directly impact people of color. I had to hire a lawyer to advocate on my behalf while I'm appealing my housing denial. I am a single parent and a full time college student who has experienced barriers that are currently being used against me by this company; without any valid reason that justifies the legal requirements stated in their own rental criteria or mandated by the Federal Fair Housing Act. Its unfortunate that I have to fight for my civil liberties with this " non profit company" who claims that their goal is to help people not hinder them; which is a major disservice. Considering the fact that the organizations mission statement asserts that helping families who come from a low income or adverse background is their goal. It seems that equal opportunity is something that is not being regarded for my family, and I when it comes down to it. I'm hoping my lawyer can talk some sense into these people and they end up doing the right thing. 5/18/2017 So, I am updating my recent review with this organization. I am happy to announce that the denial decision was overturned. At last me and my family will have access to a clean, safe affordable unit really soon. I am so grateful that this opportunity was given to my family, and I am also thankful for CCSF willingness to give me a chance and help me and my family gain self sufficiency. 8/28/18 I m finally done with them. I left the unit in immaculate condition and had zero balances upon moving. My experiences bittersweet.

The WORST! Also they have broken Hippo Laws and refuse to return any phone calls. Also you will be passed down from one person to another. Mostly a place for people who just came out of college and haven t had any really life experience. To put them on a place to deal with real issues. Especially if they can t handle what they hear.

It has been a long time since I felt so discriminated against. The entire process was dehumanizing from the beginning. I did not feel that the therapist was at all interested in having me there. I would strongly recommend against receiving services here.
