This is the best Shoney's we have been to. We enjoy Shoney's in general - the prices are decent, the food is usually a step above the average and the selection is much larger than most. They have a good buffet - a large cold food area (fruit, jello, pudding), a large salad bar (including an Asian salad section with sliced strawberries!), a dessert bar, and then a hot food area that has about 20 things to choose from including a few soups. This Shoney's was very clean and felt modern with a bar to sit at and a more open dining area making it easier to move around. They also have a neat gift section including many different items likes stuffed animals, clothing and accessories.

Friendly late night waitress Friday and Saturday during the all night breakfast bar. But, the bar could use some consistency as to what is put on it and items could be kept a little more fresh.

Super friendly staff. Salad bar is always good. Everything else is typical buffet food, as good as can be expected. Recent remodel includes the addition of a bar which will soon serve beer and wine with a limit of 2 drinks per person.

I did not like this place. Went there because it is opened 24hrs and was the only place open for breakfast at the time. Never again. Food was real cheap, some of it was cold when is was supposed to be hot. Place was a little dirty. The only thing I liked was the french toast sticks. Yea, I wont be going back.

Went to get seasfood for seafood night, the waitress only asked "do you want the bar?" We agreed. After walking up and looking at the food we can back with half empty plates. The waitress came by and I asked if it was seafood night. Her reply was "we don't have seafood, it's prime rib and seafood night" and walked away. The food, and employees were poor quality. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Yummy!

On 6 October 2018, they were not replenishing the breakfast bar well at all. They ran out of bowls, the silverware was not cleaned properly. There was food on the floor near the buffet area that stayed on the floor the entire time I was there. I think they needed more workers to handle up keep of the buffet area.

It's been months since I've eaten here since the experience wasn't pleasant: buffet poorly stocked...food on other food...dirty bathroom.
So it was around 11pm not much else open. Thought to give them another try- wrong. Same issues as last time, plus slick floors from ?grease? or sticky in other areas, broom in aisle to trip over and then we found a piece of plastic in our food. Mid chew. The waitress and acting manager were very apologetic and compensated us. However if that is what the public sees...what is going on behind the scene?

We had been craving Shoney s breakfast bar and decided to go only after we went to IHOP and there were no parking spots available. The Shoney s breakfast bar was exactly what you would expect but not what you d hope for. The bacon tasted like it had been precooked and flash fried in the deep fryer. The biscuits were hard and the gravy tasteless. We left feeling disappointed and wishing we would have circled the IHOP parking lot a couple of times. Lesson learned!

It's home to a genuine feeling of home town hospitality . Always someone there to do what needs doing. Anything anytime. From serving you just some freshly brewed coffee or tea or fixing flavored coffees or teas , to just appearing with the napkin or straws or refils at the right time. Timing is key. To presenting you with you're updated check to include dessert choices after dinner drinks such as coffees flavored it plain fresh brewed. It's an amazing cup of coffee whether you like them flavored or with cream flavors such as french vanilla Carmel macchiato it sweet Italian cream or just plain half and half creamery. It's all the little touches that get done for every single guest all day long from beginning to ending. Realize every one is loyal to you if the keep coming back or ask for you . If you cannot find uit better anytime anywhere really, anyhow...I make thought want to come back and see us to havardinhg our buffet daily. Even thought it's only changed twice on weekends three times during week

We always like to stop by Shoneys when we are in town. The food is always good and the service is always really nice. They have a cute gift shop as well. An excellent trravel stop or a good meet up for family.

I gave it one star because that was the lowest rating available. The lettuce on the salad bar was brown, as was the broccoli. My wife ordered teriyaki salmon and we found out 10 min later that the kitchen was out of teriyaki sauce. She asked them to prepare it blackened. After another 20+ minutes it was delivered to our table, but wasn't salmon at all. It was some type of white fish. Cod, perhaps? The prime rib on the buffet was over cooked, as was the baked potato. The list goes on...
Our server, Brandon, did an amazing job given that they were understaffed. And he did a great job of diverting attention away from the battle royale going on in the kitchen between the cook and another of the staff. (The cook walked out, by the way)
We sure as heck won't return.

I realize that today was Christmas day...but Shoneys should have also. Don't advertise a Christmas buffet if you don't have the staff to pull it off. There was barely any food on the buffet and what there was was almost inedible. We were there about 5 PM. Left about 6:30. The whole time there was nothing on the dessert bar. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive, though...the only good thing about the experience. We tipped him well because we felt so sorry for him having to work in that environment. When we complained to the manager, he acted like we were the first to complain...although we had heard others complaining. He did take some money off our check, begrudgingly. Definitely not worth the 14.95 they were charging per person.

Great place for Sunday buffet, especially for older crowd. Both breakfast and Sunday dinner fare are served. Frequently crowded right after church. Recent remodel makes the place seem cleaner and more spacious.

We are there tonight 7/31/18. We always get the buffet. The food was terrible. All the hot food was old and nasty. The chicken was as dry as leather, the potatoes soup which I love tasted like it was made of bad potatoes. My husband tried all the meat on the bar and it was awful. He told the manager and she didn't seem to care. Offered my husband 15% off our $67 and some change bill. The gentle men behind us also complained of the bar and the steak he paid extra to have with his bar. This is the only Shoneys left in our area and sadly it's following in all the other Shoneys footsteps. I am very disappointed in the lack of care from the manager. My family of four left hungry and very upset. We had spent all day school shopping and were really looking fforward to a good meal. Sadly we paid for a half a plate per person and a drink per person. I really hope this is corrected.
