The customer service representatives there always act like they're a little bit better than you, it doesn't matter what you go in there for, they just act conceited and a little erogant, my opinion, and they've went downhill in the care they provide.
I know half the staff and I love them all. They are alwayz helpful for me and anyone else I bring.
Very good attention and support in program that are of benefits for migrant blinds
They have program's to help the homeless here in Las Vegas. Also a good bank.
Community Meal daily at 10:00 am... Food quality at CC is about 60 from 1-100...staff is somewhat caught up in security routine but tolerable...
A place where people and family's can receive help assistance with housing and other needs like work & clothing and food
Helpful resources... however staff needs professionalism training
It was a headach and no order but we got done what we need to get done
In the summer the shelter is an ice box. In the winter it's a sweat box. You have to sit in the sun for hours until 3pm if you want a good bed. Showers are not required therefore there a bed bug issue., etc.
They are blessing for helping everyone and helping me so thankful and appreciated and the experience has got a hundred times better and before that epidemic just want to say cathy thank you
Love the services here. Today we went to the foodbank. The lines were long but it moved very quickly. Its also worth the wait. Thank you for all that you do Catholic Charities.
I use to work for Catholic Charities from Aug 16th till Oct 20th of 2017 the first couple weeks where fine until one of there Supervisors Raual started to degrade me in front of staff and clients and making me feel like I was stupid and less of a person, I informed my bosses of the situation they did little to nothing about it so I went to HR where they said they investigated the situation nothing ever happened they said they couldn't find any proof of what I said, then my last month of my employment I was told by my supervisor I wasn't allowed to wear a face mask to stop people from spitting in my mouth when they are blowing into the machine to test for alcohol and because of this I got sick with bronchitis I informed my work they did nothing I got sick again 3 weeks later with severe Bronchitis and was in the hospital for 2 days because I could barely breath and I received a letter saying I was terminated for not showing up to work and not calling in because I couldn't breath to even talk and now in sitting in the welfare office and was talking to the security guards I use to work with and the vice president came up to me and was very rude saying I was disrupting there work and that I'm not allowed to talk to his employees and that I'm fine to be a client but I need to act like a client I didn't know I wasn't a human being and wasn't allowed to talk to someone everyone here is rude and treats people like they are bellow them but then representing themselves as people who are here to help this is a terrible place to work and to be a client of.
Some of the security staff were rude. But the other staff were extremely helpful. If you need help or want to volunteer it is the place to go
Thankful for all they do Very helpful & courteous people
This place is dirty. Not well kept up. The food they served was good and plentiful. If you need a good breakfast show up at about 10 am.
Facility does a service for the homeless, pls donate to this charity rather than give to panhandling
~ ~ They have helped me since I came to Las Vegas in 2013 and they still do. Your help to the community is very well founded. God continue to bless you. ~ ~
This place helped when no one else probably would. Showed me someone cares.
the guards there were mean. the place has no system, they change rules and policies everyday. fights erupt every night inside the dorm.
This Homeless Shelter Does Little To Nothing To Help. They're Only Help: Shelter Among The Bed Bugs, And A Meal That Is Pork And High Sodium Based...#SMH
What wonderful services they provide to those in need of help.
They assist the homeless and have several programs to help people get back on there feet.
Great staff. Always able to count on them helping me through those rough patches in life.
My fiance and I went to Catholic Charities food pantry the staff was nice but I wasn't able to get a turkey for Thanksgiving because of their guidelines that you would have to be continuously coming in since July 2018 but my car was down so I was not able to drive there for my food pantry I also go to the Christian church closer to home but they're not giving out turkeys either I do appreciate that they are able to assist me with other types of food then I am able to eat at home with my fiancee I plan to come every month so that I am able to follow their guidelines
Excellent and knowledgeable staff willing to help. Able to assist with homeless resources and coordinated entry with local social service locations.
They helped me put groceries in the car...Thank YOU!
Great customer service and help me getting food for thirty days
Couldnt get help because i didnt have an id. But i guess they offer good service if u do have an id.
Worst services ever they charge homeless broke people $5 per meal for breakfast and dinner. They charge $1.25 for each washer machine dryer and sell laundry detergent. No wifi cold shower water the client services will not help in anyway with ID getting mail or finding employment they'll tell you to go to DMV the fit program or help yourself the program for renewal of hope for men is slave labor you have to work for them 6 hours a day 5 days a week for free no pay cannot even look for a job or will be kicked out. then curfew right after work after three months of free work your allowed to seek employment but still have to do he free labor till you find full time work 35+ hours a week and when you find work you have to pay them $200 a month to continue to receive services thy rent apartment on the complex for $400 a month. Catholic charities is a non profit organization it's against federal law what they are doing there! Stay away from this place!!!!
if you ever need any help with anything if your homeless or struggling Catholic charities a place to go to that they will help you out or at least point you in the right direction and do what it is needed to help you it's definitely the Christian way and if they practice what they preach it's a great place in Las Vegas
This place is a life saver and the staff are awesome. What more can I say.
This place is great for helping people in need. However the sheer quantity of suffering homeless and helpless people that basically live their entire lives here is extremely horrible and heart wrenching. It is nearly traumatizing just how horrible this place really is.... i wanted to give 2 stars because of the filth but they still give free meals and provide services to help the homeless. It is hard to recommend this place to anyone but if you are hard up... this place can help you.
They help you get state aid, feed you, have a food bank to get groceries and those are just the services i used
It is all located on the campus which makes it very convenient for those with hardships and/or homelessness.
They are very quick with getting a clarity card and also you can get your ebt benefits replacement card also
Local food pantry for Las Vegas residents. Open on Saturdays as well as Monday through Friday. Bring your ID, SSN card, Recent piece of mail dated within last 30 days. Apply for a Nevada Clarity card as well. Can only go once a month. You pick out your own food her. Up to 5lb. off shelves. 10lb. Produce. One meat item from the freezer. They always give you an extra bag of canned goods. And then after weighing out your food, you get to choose one dessert and two breads. Located in Downtown off Main Street. On a bus line also. Free parking if you have a vehicle also. Helps out when you're in need of groceries.
Was given extremely conflicting information yet grateful for another division of the agency offering a different service.
This place is a blessing! My husband was just laid off from his job, of eleven years, due to his age. We can come once a month to get food! Susie is a sweetheart and truly cares about me and my family!
I had the unpleasant experience staying at Catholic Charities due to illness and being unable to hold a job. The organization does a good job taking men off the streets and giving them the opportunity to clean themselves up and rest (sleep) without the fear of being beaten up or robbed. In reality there are still occurences of that in the dorms but they are not frequent. Security is ok and headed by Eric Meyers who must own stock or something. Because the turn over in management and personnel overall is at the least rampant. The daily free community meal is ok but never enough. Alot of people depend on that one meal for the whole day. The food bank is pretty good they give you 10lbs of canned goods 10lbs of produce bread and sweets. Sometimes alittle more if available. But only once a month. Its a shoot or miss. The USDA give aways to qualified individuals are greatly appreciated. What troubles me about Chatholic Charities are the personnel and staff. These people are not happy or even upbeat about working there or being there. WHY! To be imvolved with helping people better their situation should bring self satisfaction and self esteem but you just never see it! In reality its a sad place of broken dreams and lives. Some people use it as a spring board to better themselves. But unfortunatly very few make it! Shelters are a black eye in any city or community but its a much needed thing. My high rating is mainly because we sorely need them. WITH MUCH RESPECT AND HUMILITY. eric.
Very understanding and caring personal here would recommend it for all homeless
Good attention from social workers .. At least mine ..
The food pantry is outstanding and it was quick service I got everything I needed
Does very well for it's express purpose. Giving a roof and bed to the homeless. My understanding is that Catholic charities has been there for years. It is the heart of the "Circle of Hope". The program is not for everyone but those that are looking to improve their situation can get a lot out of the system.
I was laid off from my job 4 months ago..my truck was reposed so ive had to ride the greyhound trying to find work at my age (54) and of all the shelters I've stayed in from all the states from Charleston S.C. to here Las Vegas the Catholic charities has been hands down, by far the worse shelter I have had to stay in
Really great people here and they provide a great service. I think it's wonderful that this is available to help people in need. They're strict on their rules so that they can be sure to help the greatest number possible, but they are very helpful.
Confusing Campus, discourteous people, food pantry that is drastically undersupportive and doesnt take into account multiple person households, elderly and homebound members of a family, children, aall in all one of the worst food pantries and almost a waste of time
Catholic Charities have & always will help people they don't turn anyone away. So if you ever find yourself where you need help Catholic Charities are there for you & please if you can or would like to help call Catholic Charities. Thank you so much
Very helpful the employees actually care about the people that they help
I would like to respond to today's stabbing.I worked there as a security officer and was threaten by the same woman approximately two weeks ago.I tried to point her out to the police, after more threats. I was told by a supervisor there at Catholic Charities that it wasn't our business cause she was not on the property any more. From my understanding she was barred but came on properly daily. Thus was truly shocking. But then again they have security there that have just reached age to legally work in the capacity of security, which is 21. This could've been avoided, and I hope It gains the attention needed. This by fare was one of my worst mistake...Those stars were definitely pressed by mistake. Sorry I pursued that employment.
When I was in financial need they came through for me.
