I was a little disappointed when I drove that far for help. I'm a new to Nevada. Just leaving an abusive marriage, I found myself at Catholic Charities. I was turned away because I did not have proof of residence. Even though I showed my ID, Social Security Card and mail that I had received at the address I was staying it was not enough. The young girl at the counter was extremely unprofessional and uncaring. She pointed to the wall and said there was a list that might help me. By the grace of God I am not on the streets but I am still upset at the way I was rudely treated by a Catholic Charities Employee.

They are quite organized, good service, relaxed environment

I go to the food pantry once a month. They give good food and plenty

Need a huge stack of verification just to get a box of food. Seriously lame. Local Id. Local mail. Birth certificate. Lease. Two forms of ID. Ss card. All for a box of food..

Great place for people that need help victor is a great guy.

This place charges the homeless for meals?? Are you kidding me? That is ridiculous. All those donations they receive but yet and still they charge the people that are less fortunate.

I enjoy going every month sometimes you find good food and the people are very nice

The time I spent there was short lived
Meaning the waiting period was very short this social services is quick, fast & in a hurry your in and out which is great.

I am the husband uaing my wifes account but today i went here looking for help with food i didnt kniw what to expect i walked up it looked sketchy there were alot of homeless i went in and got my food ( which was great stuff) and went home and am now thanks to them enjoying a great meal of pork and corn and cherry pie for desert. I am sad that there are people who take advantage of places like this but i just want to say how thankful i am that i can sit and eat a meal with my wife because of there kindness.

Not a huge fan. But they do help people, so can't complain.

Such a good place to go! When you're already feeling down about not being able to put food on the table, they definitely don't make you feel it!! Such pleasant, understanding,and respectful cordiality to everyone no matter what!!!!!! Really appreciate it. God Bless you all at Catholic charities!!!!!!

Wish they could figure out how to make the process a little faster. That would help a lot on crowded days. But, overall... I LOVE THIS PLACE. Mostly, I love "shopping" for my own stuff, like a real grocery store. #Dignity

Charge homeless for meals, it used to be $4. And there is a difference between the 1 free meal at 10am and the 2 pay meals. Also, not even a Catholic organization if I'm told right.

Yeah donations are down but how much do the executives make a year in salary?

CC help so many people, with me I get food from them once a month.

Great place to eat if your on a food stamp budget. $4 for a large amount of good food. Better deal then any place in town

Went to the food bank Here they only mostly had snacks but every little bit helps.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The initial phone engagement was professional and very informative.

A good place to go to receive food when you're short on cash to keep the cupboards full.

Best time to go...early morning or on Saturdays...real early

Man..... Got a job and nothing but problems from them after that. It's like they want me to be homeless.

Catholic charities saved me. I was homeless with no where to live. They got me a home I love. I am so grateful.

I usually go here for the food bank. This particular day I went to get paperwork from the small little welfare office located within the complex. But I felt uncomfortable because I was approached by security as if I was doing something wrong and all I was doing was walking to my location. I understand when dealing with people I don't welfare office a lot of times you run into people who need security to come let them know that they can't do certain things but I was just walking with 8 year old child I was approached. Not really comfortable going up in there for me

They are very helpful with food for me and my family. Sometimes its a little over crowded and i really dont get the whole comdities thing. But at least i get food from there and I appreciate that very nice workers here

It's a food pantry they. Call it none of these charities do any thing for free they charge for everything even if they get ig for free

I love, love this pantry, from Pete to the pretty, friendly receptionists to the volunteers and helpers. The food is plentiful, delicious. These people are a God send. Thank you so much. God Bless

They have enough beds for most people, no drinking.

We donated canned food to the security guard at the gate and able to get a tax receipt. No need to walk in the building to donate. As a fellow Catholic Im glad to support those in need.

Great place assisting the homeless and people in need .

The front desk sends you to the side double doors for help. The employees are flirtin with each other... once they acknowledge you ...they tell you they are not helping anyone until November 27th...come back then....

What can I say? Other than "Thank you!" This is a much needed resource for so many people everywhere. And Catholic Charities rocks it! Thank you, Thank you & God Bless you all.

somebody took the clarity logo and put it on the web with my card will my first and last name they also use all my information with my birth certificate documents so I'm not doing the charity for the one with the dollhouse everything is me and it's on the block so whoever wants to play my documents break will for you and all the mobile computers and phones you still break I'm up to date and I have a good day and I'll see you soon bye for now

Will help any single people, but do not provide assistance for domestic violence victims. Will help men from prison but no resources for women and there children (SMDH)

In somes cases Whiteout intentions to help. I am about two months waiting for help, whiteout money, and I not get nothing. Very slowly process.

Due to extreme personal circumstances, I had chance to visit Catholic Charities Food Pantry. I don't know what I was expecting, but the kindness, understanding, patience and compassion that I received was wonderfully surprising. Each and every person was so kind. Explained the process to me twice since it was my first time. I hope that I don't have to be in the same circumstances of having to use their services again, but if I do I know that I will be treated with kindness and respect. When my situation gets better, I'm thinking of returning to volunteer. Catholic Charities is a great lifeline and excellent program. Thank you.

Long wait, but worth it. I feel great every time I go there.

Plus:The majority of the staff is great, helpful, polite; offer outstanding services (WIC, Food Stamp Office, Immigration Services, Adoption Services, Community Meal for the less fortunate, Food Bank, County Social Services offer assistance on property), day room to beat the heat during the summer for homeless men, overnight dorm for homeless men to lay their heads indoors
Negatives:Bedbugs in the overnight dorm, occasionally too hot or cold in the overnight dorm, limited space in the above mentioned day room, if it is totally full, one has to wait for others to leave before entry, rest rooms in the courtyard are disgusting, many times have a long line waiting and are out of toilet paper or one of them is out of order, leaving the other for men and women to share, at times too many people hustling, trying to take advantage of others, open drug sales at times, drug use in the rest room, sex in the rest rooms

Good people in attention to those who ask for help. Very good and gentle people

They give you shifts for a week when you go back there you do not need their help because they already gave you information in other places

If you need food from the pantry which is donated from several companies to help the needy they will not give you any unless you have something proving you have a address which means the homeless who need food get none

They fo there best to help others who really want it

The man who answered my phone call was very helpful in directing me to another organization who could better serve my needs . Very Nice !

What would we do without them. They provide so many services! From a great pantry with wonderful staff to free English classes. They help you if you don't have money to pay electric or rent. They have a huge service center for the Homeless. Wonderful, caring staff. All of them.

Their pantry is one of the best. Helps me make it through the month with food.
