I adopted 3 children through Catholic Charities and had no problems at all. I read all the books and was very aware of what to expect from foster children. i highly recommend them. The lady I worked with helped me fore and after both adoptions.

they don t care about you ! this place doesn't practice charity that all , they charge for everything .. I paid off my whole process... it s being one year and I don t know anything... I called my lawyer or the person who filled out the paperwork , so many times ( emails inclusive) and I didn t get any response.... I think they have so many people and they can t handle it .... better spend a 100 dollars more and go to a real lawyer ...
This is an amazing location the staff here is one of the most caring staff that I've ever had the pleasure of getting to work with and know they helped me with a case I had and they walked me through the whole process and had no issues thank you to them

The lawyers and staff are very professional and friendly
It is not worth it just a waste of time and money ... They are like any law office if it is not worse ... T send to war without weapons to defend yourself ... Besides it does not help at all in your case .. But if they want all the little bit and in the mouth ... Supposedly one goes to those places to ask for help and they have been kicking in a rage ... they don't advise on anything ... Catholic Charities haha yes of course
Friendly staff, wait is not too bad. But every time I come here, it's $40. Restrooms are available on each level, clean. Temperature is important since we wait a while to be called cause there are plenty of plenty, not too cold not too hot. Big television to entertainment people.

**STAY AWAY** I had an appointment for immigration case at 1:30pm. Showed up at 1:00 Pm they took my money then waited until 2:00 PM to tell me that they could not see me. (I found out later is because they were throwing a party.) I received 2 notifications that day (email/text) not to forget my appointment. Then they tell me to come in the next day..reluctantly I showed up and actually waited 5 hours to get to speak to someone. This place is extremely unorganized. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
I was there since 5 in the morning in Linia with cold for nothing! They charged me the consultation in advance. I spoke with a Chinese who didn't even tell me anything! All the information he told me and the sap he did not want to take my case I wanted to forgive my husband and gave me a number for a lawyer. I went there believing that they could help me and nothing I know that there are many lawyers out there but they charge a lot for that I went there believing they could help me but it was a waste of time.

Unfortunately I have to give a star to add a review. I know many families including myself that can't afford to give a decent Christmas to their children, or their grandchildren they are raising. Who the heck knows in August, September, October, or November ( because this is your sign up deadline for Xmas help) that they will loose a job, not find a job, or fall behind on bills because the winter weather hits your old furnace that you in no way shape or form can afford to upgrade causing your electric bill to be over $250 a month causing your finances, because your already considered in a low income bracket, and play a catch up game!
To the Holiday Assistance Program you should really reconsider a new program for the last minute life's unfortunate events for Holiday Miracles! Happy Holidays!
I do not know much about this place but it has been recommended to me. It is very good. They have lawyers. They can help with the immigration process.
We contacted the office for financial assistance and were told they could help us. They told us to be there before 7:30 and noone lwt us in until after 8. After wasting our time and bis money, they told us they couldn't help without even listening to our situation. They had no problem giving checks to some illegals though.
Took my last $40 in this world and gave me no advice. I was so hurt and ashamed . Its a year later and I still feel the pain! I see that man's face !!!! How can someone have a job like that. low down dirty dog. have a nice day.

Don't come here for immigration they are unprofessional and disorganized. I made an appt and waited over a month for my appt date, I get a call from Gloria at their office to reschedule last minute because their case worker quit, which is not my problem. She said I didn't have anything there and that nothing was guaranteed. Not only that but I had paid $40.00 for an initial consultation to be able to get this appt, only to be told that they had to cancel my appt and look somewhere else. And they call themselves catholic??
All i can say about this place, they really help people's...... they're also giving free diaper and wipes,food stuffs etc

Had a terrible experience in my initial consultation with Leyla. She was extremely unhelpful and I was charged for a full consultation for a 10 min interaction while she spent majority of the consultation seeking advice from what I assume was an actual experienced professional. I kid you not, I sat in her office alone for 20 mins, only for her to return and let me know she could not help me during this consultation and would have to schedule another. When I asked for a refund, she insisted she gave me consultation advice (which she didn't... at all).
I understand that, as a non-profit, a part of the funding that pays for things like new nice office must be sought through services provided but I challenge the organization to really invest in emphatic, experienced personnel that truly care to help immigrants, especially in the negative political climate we are surrounded in today. Immigration is an immensely sensitive subject for many, empower your people.
I am extremely reluctant to return after a such a sour experience but I give 2 stars as I know that Catholic Charities has good intentions to help their people. Hopefully if I do choose to return, I'll have a better experience.
Worst staff ever. They tell you to come at 9:00AM and will see you at 12pm. And that is every single time.

My husband and I had an overall Great experience with Catholic Charities in Dallas, TX!!! We live 3 hours away from there but they were very good about making us appointments and working around our busy work schedule!!! We went to them to get more information about how my husband can become permanent resident and they are very organized, helpful, gave us direct numbers for the lawyers for if we had any questions!! I will say there is alot of paper work to complete and copies to be made but it is all worth it in the end!! The consultations we had were $40 very affordable unlike others places that charge alot!! Also i will mention that they usually go with cases that are going to be easy like for example no deportations, no criminal history etc. The whole process took about a year and half also we could afford it because we were able to make payments little as we go and filled out any paperwork we needed to!! As long as you cooperate you shouldn't have any trouble or any holdups!! The key to this is just have alot of patience i know it can be stressful at times but it will be worth the wait!! Trust me the moment i found out my husband was granted his permanent residency in Juarez was the Best Day Ever!!! I hope you find my review somewhat helpful and thanks for reading!!! :)

Great place to get help on the U.S Citizenship application (Form N-400).They only charge $40 and help you through whole process. Just make sure you have certain dates that are required on the application and if you've had any tickets. Also dates of marriages/divorces and dates traveled in the last 5 years. If you have all of that,then filling out is pretty fast. They give you a checklist and they make sure you have everything before you mail it out. The volunteers are really nice and helpful.
