St. Peter s basilica was, without a doubt, the most impressive piece of architecture I ve ever seen.
Visiting St Peters on a Saturday evening, I was lucky enough to be in the Basilica for one of the masses. Everything that you have learned in school is right there in front of your eyes, and it is more beautiful in person.

I was baptized in Saint's Peter an Paul Catholic Church, Detroit, MI as a baby blind to the world yet full of Grace. As an adult I am blessed to have the privilege of encountering God's Holy Son in the mystical Eucharist at Saint's Peter and Paul Basilica, Philadelphia, PP.

Amazing Cathedral! What you might expect to see in any city in Europe. My wife and I were given a wonderful tour by Santos (hope I'm remembering the name correctly). He was a fountain of knowledge and information about the church and events surrounding it. Hope we might meet again, and as recommend, we will try and visit again on the 11th of December, after we return from our trip. Thank you for your time and attention!

Beautiful basilica. I've been in so many throughout Italy and this one was more impressive than some that I've been to. It was very peaceful with exception of the jerk talking on his cellphone. But I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Philadelphia !

If you are Philadelphia, be sure to stop here! The cathedral is a work of art! Be sure to venture into the sanctuary and look up to the see the magnificent dome! There are daily mass times and ample opportunities for confession. There is a small gift shop, just be sure to check the hours.

This is a very beautiful cathedral. It's well maintained and was a great cool down from the hot weather outside. It's surprising what kind of architecture can be be found eventhough I'm sure the cathedral isn't extremely old like many European ones are.

What can I say? This church is magnificent. Grand and appropriate. A beautiful representation of the Catholic faith. One of my closest friends recently was married there as well.

Once you walk through those doors, you will feel the presence of the holy spirit. Whether you believe in God or not, the architecture and craftsmanship will leave you at awe.

The Tridentine Latin Mass at 7pm on the main holy days is magnificent. Check the Cathedral Bulletin to be sure there will be one confirmed. You won't want to miss this.

Also, Bishop Chaput says mass and hears confessions on Sundays at 6:30 pm. Definitely worthwhile.

I'm glad I could attend the Lenten Day of Recollection. It was the first activity for people outside the parish since being cancelled last year by covid-19.

Timing this year actually coincided with the last day of the week in celebration of consecrated women's week. So incredible to be among the many vibrant sisters with tremendous faith.

The two presentations used Lectio Divina is a traditional monastic practice of scriptural reading, meditation and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God's word. In the view of one commentator, it does not treat scripture as texts to be studied, but as the living word.

Also, Sr Sheila used Visio Divina "sacred seeing" is an ancient form of Christian prayer in which we allow our hearts and imaginations to enter into a sacred image of Christ knocking at the door, in silence, to see what God might have to say to us.

Monsignor Louis A. D Addezio, who is a priest in residence. I loved spending half an hour at the new shrine in honor of St Katharine Drexel, SBS. It's absolutely stunning. Thank you for your prayers.

Impressive. I'm always impressed with this kind of architecture and the skill needed to design and build a huge building like this. It is a place for religious reflection... Like OMG how much it must cost to take care of this place or more godly and heartfelt thoughts and prayers for loved ones or lost souls.

What a beautiful historic building/landmark in Center City, Philadelphia. Love the architecture. It is beautiful inside the cathedral. Well maintained. I also love the "Amor" sign right across street from the cathedral. Totally a good photo opportunity spot!!
