Food at Equus was great. The service was beyond horrible. Over an hour for 2 omelettes to be served (and that was after we reminded them twice and they said they were "checking"). Maybe a bad day because they had a party going on... but for an expensive brunch they should hire an additional waiter.

We went there for dinner and had a great time so we decided to book two suites for our pre-wedding festivities. A week before the wedding i was called and told our suites had been given away to some visiting politicians, even though i prepaid a deposit on both rooms. In addition to this we were supposed to take pictures on the grounds which the previous manger advised we would be accommodated for. This was apparently no longer the case and we had to vacate and check out by 10 am because the rooms would now be needed for the politicians. They offered us two smaller rooms, the two smaller rooms were inadequate for the bridesmaids and which i explained to the manager, as well as we would now not have a picture venue due to the timing of the wedding in a few days, the manger refused to accommodate and advised that if we didn't like it we can go elsewhere. So 5 days to the wedding i had to book a new hotel in the area for 14 people and book a venue to take pictures. The hotel still has not refunded me my deposit. They were very unapologetic and were happy to get rid of us even though we booked two suites and spa packages.

If you're looking for a hotel that is very different than the photos online will have you believe, coupled with a staff that is uninterested in your stay, and upper management that simply doesn't care... look no further!

We had a terrible stay, first being placed in a suite that had no working heat. We were moved to another room after a worker spent 90 minutes trying to fix it. The whole ordeal delayed our dinner plans in nearby Tarrytown. The valet misplaced the keys to our car, forcing us to Uber, and after the entire debacle, management refused to waive the valet fee upon checkout the next morning. I called after we got home and asked to speak with the general manager of the property, who sided with the front desk manager, and said that valet charges are non-refundable. Stay away from this place!!!
