Great interactive haunted house. Well worth the trip. Much better then hundred acres manor and scarehouse both. Instead of doing lame jump scares they actually interract with you and put you in the middle of story. Also you don't feel rushed while you're here. This awesome haunted house deseerves more credit then what it gets.

Wish you could give more than five stars. Amazing staff. The attraction was top notch. Took nearly an hour to complete. Worth price of admission. Line was very reasonable on a Friday night at 7-8pm. Do not hesitate - check it out!
Visited this last night (a Sunday). Must say: Absolutely the best haunted attraction I've EVER been to! Recommended for ALL. So much fun! Interactive - play the game, solve puzzles, complete challenges. Great cast of characters. They were all wonderful. Especially liked the different rooms (the "viewing room" - tell the lovely lady who yelled at us I said hi & I want that dress ) like the library, the "lab", etc. Would to check it out again one day. Maybe at Christmas time. Thanks for the experience & memories!
A unique haunt experience that you will not get anywhere else. Clever and engaging, without relying on the same tired "chainsaws and blood" tropes that you can find at literally every other haunted house.
Horrible experience. Stood in line for over 2 hours. We purchased tickets from groupon and asked about VIP. The man was very rude and said we had to purchase all new tickets.
This is the 3rd we have gone and I'm glad we got to experience their 25th season. They never disappoint. Very interactive, NO CHAINSAWS, and definitely worth the 1 1/2 hour trip.
Like it says, not your traditional haunted house. Really cool though, fun experience, you won't be disappointed if your expectations are correct.
Definitely try to go with a 6-8 people, taking on the challenges would be more fun without strangers.
Staff should consider giving everyone in the group a shot at at least one challenge... we went with a lady who basically did every one herself (and usually lost) because everyone else was being polite and waiting for a turn.
If you're making the decision, definitely go here instead of Demon House down the road.
My group had a blast. The actors were great and it was very fun. Lots of scares and fun had all around. The don't just do Halloween either.. Christmas and St Patty's day too. We will be back!
Had an absolute blast. It's a super fun walk through with puzzle's and interactive theatre through out the walk. Loved the interactions and characters. Super fun!! Thank you for the picture Boris!
I'd say bring enough people to have your own group. Most of the characters are really good some newer. All the detail in the aesthetics and decorations of the rooms is really good. You get to interact with the actors as well by participating in a game
This place is a blast. I look forward to going every year. All the actors are volunteers; most are from Douglas's school looking for experience, so they get really into their roles. Unlike most haunted houses meant to simply scare you, this place starts by telling you a story that you have to pay attention to carefully. You will need the information later at different points in the house. As you go room to room, you have to solve puzzles and answer questions, but be careful, sometimes they will purposely try to trip you up as you go. You have to pay attention to everything that is being said. There is also a good bit of macabre humor added in. The story and puzzle changes with every event. They also do a Christmas event. After you go through the house, you end up in a gift shop and they have lots of great stuff, so bring some extra money. This place also has daylight tours designed for children. The lights stay on and there are no scares. I think this is pretty kool. The owner is one of the actors and you will actually meet him at some point in the house. It is a little pricey but you can get tickets through Groupon which helps tremendously. This is a Halloween must! Just keep in mind that this involves lots of audience participation. Also large groups are a good idea. They take about ten through at a time. If you come by yourself or just 2 of you, you will be added to a group with other people. This can be fun, but it can also be a drag if you get lumped with people who are not paying attention. Occasionally individuals are singled out to do a task and can screw things up for the group if they do the wrong thing. Go, have fun, interact with the residents, be vocal; it's more fun for you and the actors.
It was very disappointing and mis-leading. Not at all what my friend's and I had expected. It was too kid friendly. So if you are looking for a kid friendly experience, this is it.
It was quite a bit of fun. The decorations are gorgeous, and you can tell a lot of effort went into it. There are more riddles than puzzles, but they are not too bad. Jumpscares galore and no gore, so great for younger people.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. The actors are wonderfully frightful, and each room is exquisitely macabre. The interactive nature of the haunt is family friendly, I recommend going in groups!
Seriously my favorite haunted house experience ever. I m not a fan of the chainsaw wielding or insane clown, blood and gore type experience, but love witches and vampires and what I consider classic or gothic Halloween. We no longer live in the Pittsburgh area but we began going yearly when my kids were little to the lights on matinee and our last two years in the area, they had graduated to the real version. Miss going and hopefully in the future we can make a special trip out to go again.
Been visiting Castle Blood for many years for many events. Always a great time. This year was one of the best! Highly recommend if you are looking for something different for Halloween.
I really enjoyed this place. Great costumes and amazing sets and actors!! We had lots of fun and laughs. You really need to check this place out!! It s the best!! Not too scary either.
Not you "typical" haunted house. Here you have tasks to complete to get through house. The entire journey is well scripted and the actors are well versed in their dialogue. I would highly recommend a visit and although their are typical scares, they're not over done , which makes it even enjoyable for younger patrons.
I can't see enough GREAT things about Castle Blood! Between the colorful characters, great costumes, fun puzzles, a bit of magic, and even some "jump scares" it's a fun time!!!! Each year it's a bit different, but some characters develop into a bigger presence! Support the first 'escape room' people who are small businesses owners! I helped save Halloween!
This place was definitely fun! the decor in this place was so amazing and realistic. It's not your haunted jump out scare people blood gut and gore type of Halloween attraction. This is a real life game of clue. I really enjoyed it and the actors were amazingly dressed in like Victorian costumes. You go room to room getting clues and putting a story together. This would be a great attraction for Halloween if for example you're a family and all kids are over 12. There is nothing THAT scary. Each year they switched it up. I will definitely be back. Also check like groupon they usually have discounts for tickets. They also don't do just Hallway. They also did something for Christmas.
We've gone every year for the last five Halloween Seasons and have never been disappointed, it's always fun and the story changes each year! This is an awesome place for Halloween fun - think of the Clue movie mixed with the Addams Family and then they throw in escape room puzzles and haunted house startle scares! This place is great fun!
I loved Castle Blood! The actors were great and very helpful, guiding us very well throughout the maze of the house. There were a few jumpscares and the house is beautifully decorated with various themes. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to returning! A lot of time, thought, and effort was put into this place and you can tell!
Best haunted attraction EVER! Interactive: play games, solve puzzles, complete challenges. Amazing!!! Worth every penny. Can't wait to check out the ghost tour and Christmas show. Recommend for everyone. They have scary and not so scary times as well.
Great spooky attraction to get you thinking yet keep you on your toes with very personable staff that make you feel welcome for dinner... as dinner, muhuhahaha
This is the best classic haunted house around. It's interactive and changes every year which has kept me coming back since I was a kid. They have multiple shows a year actually, so we get to come throughout the year. The actors are professional, the props are detailed, and the entire experience is one you won't forget. I cannot recommend this haunt enough.
I've gone to this Haunt every year for the last 8 years, and it just gets better and better each year! The old location was amazing.... but the vampires moved to a new location that is even BETTER! I'll always come back to castle blood.... chainsaws and lame jump scares are far too overplayed. If you want a LEGIT halloween experience, Castle Blood is the place to be!!!
Awesome Halloween event....not your typical haunted house...requires you to use your brain and complete puzzles to progress through...the actors and atmosphere really add to the entire world they created here
It s not scary at all if anything s it s dum but it s cool because it s diffrent it tells a story kinda and it s like a game it s something fun for a family with young children that s not looking to get to scared
I have been to many haunted houses, most around the Pittsburgh area, and I was still surprised by Castle Blood.
The exterior of the building leaves a bit to be desired; it is entirely too easy to miss it since it sits in a standard and almost un-decorated office building. All of the staff outside was exceedingly friendly, though, and made the wait for tickets and entry very enjoyable.
Once inside, I do recommend you come with a group who will allow themselves to get lost in the story and "play along" as it were. Groups of 3-5 are probably the best size for the interactions inside. Contrary to how they describe it online, the "puzzles" inside are simply joining in a scene with the characters and trading little trinkets you get with the correct person at the correct time.
There are a few pop-out "boo" scares in the attraction, but overall it is mostly just creepy and not actually scary. The attraction will take probably 20 minutes once inside but lines can apparently get long outside because they take care to stage groups so that no two overlap. Definitely a unique attraction and a fun one at that; even if you don't like haunted houses you can have fun here.
It s more of a game than haunted house. The decor was awesome and perfect. The employees played their part extremely well. Costumes were nice. A bit pricey for what it is.
If you are looking for a scary place, this is not it. Don t waste your time and money.
Always such a fun time!! While I have been a fan of the regular haunt for a number of years, for the past 2 we have brought our little boy to the afternoon matinee shows. He is already a huge fan! The sets are beyond perfect, the actors know their craft and the games are fun, challenging yet age appropriate. The hour drive from Uniontown is always well worth it. Well done as always
Wow. I can't begin to properly convey how amazing this experience was.
I've worked at haunted houses for the last 8 years and I've seen many different environments, actors, and settings. And this has been the most impressed I have ever been.
I went last night with my family and the entire experience was on point. The acting was top notch. I was blown away by all the attention to detail.
I don't want to give away any of the surprises inside. But a congratulations to the entire cast and everyone who made the magical experience possible.
The Halloween attraction itself wasn't scary, it's less chainsaws and jumpscares, but more of an interactive experience that requires you to pay attention to things, solve puzzles, and be able to solve a children's game (Which was, by far, the most difficult out of everything at the attraction.)
At the end of the attraction, my group didn't have the right rewards (You get rewarded for solving things, and exchanging previous rewards for new ones.), but we did get a pity-prize of glow-in-the-dark fangs, and a candy bloodbag, each.
You were also permitted to keep the rewards you were given throughout the attraction as sort of mementos, ranging from a severed finger (We didn't get to keep this one, we used it to sample DNA of a werewolf, and put it in a cauldron (Separate events, by the way.)), to a tiny figurine of a skull, to even just spooky looking cards.
Overall, I had a great time here, mostly due to Jesse, (I'm not sure how it was spelled, so apologies if it's incorrect.) the manic woman with a tiny figurine of George, from the children's show Peppa Pig. Thank you, Jesse. You made the group much more lively. I hope you're doing well.
Been going to this Haunt for over 20 years .. great decor and good acting. Something different every year and the staff are friendly and helpful ( if your not a jackass ). The new location is great to see on its own
We enjoyed ourselves. All of us got a good scare/jump/scream at least once... Most of us got it quite a few times. I enjoyed the different style of this place. It told a story and got us involved. Very funny and interactive as well.
Went there is past Saturday night the 26th and my friend and I really enjoyed the event. Costumes, makeup and game play was really exceptional. This is a hidden gem and is truly a pleasure to visit. I know we plan on making this part of our Halloween Haunted House list we do every year!
Great actors! So much better than a traditional haunted house. We were able to bring our children ages 9 and 15 which was nice. It took us an hour to complete the challenges which were sometimes easy and sometimes difficult. Well worth the money.
Very interesting take on a haunted house, love that it s a different experience in every room and that you are guided through the entire house by real live people who by the way have the most awesome costumes ever. I give them major props for acting their parts, they do amazing at it and they make it fun and interesting. Yes there are a few pop out of the wall scary moments but that s the fun in it. I would definitely go back, my children had a wonderful time.
Great people, great fun, and a wonderful New set of memories to carry. It's close to a haunted escape room with puzzles, riddles, and more. It's a good place to bring a date
One of my favorite haunts in the pittsburgh area. A truely unique experience. Theres a storyline, and you have yo interact with the monsters to accomplish your quest. Always a great time.
